Enjoy tastings of Guatemala’s finest coffees, each prepared in distinct styles, along with specially curated breakfast bites — both savory and sweet — made just for this tour. Drink samples range from 2 oz to 4 oz.

As with all our tours, we love to highlight and support small local businesses. During the tour, we’ll explore the northern, central, and eastern parts of Antigua Guatemala. By the end of the experience, you’ll leave energized, satisfied, and with a new appreciation for Guatemalan coffee from bean to cup. Kukul Tales

Founded in Guatemala in 2018, Kukul Tales offers carefully curated and personalized culinary experiences designed to create genuine connections between local communities and travelers. Our mission is to reveal the rich gastronomic culture of Antigua Guatemala in an intimate, meaningful, and authentic way. For Rebeca, founder of Kukul Tales, a lifelong fascination with local flavors—nurtured by cooking alongside her grandmothers—sparked the creation of this project. Her work is rooted in deep research into the historical and culinary foundations of Guatemalan cuisine, guided by a strong commitment to honoring and celebrating the invaluable knowledge of traditional cooks.

Schedule

8:00 am: We meet at the central park to walk to the first stop
8:15 am: Cofffea (espresso + empanada or Sero hot chocolate)
8:45 am: Café Sol (filtered + breakfast, sometimes tortillas, sometimes toast)
9:15 am: Cafelito (milk drink + various pairings)
9:45 am: Sienaluz (cocktail and rock n roll)
10:15 am: End of the coffee tour.

This coffee tour was by far our favorite activity we did in Antigua!!! We are so grateful we signed up for the tour, especially on the first morning of our trip because it was a wonderful way to meet some locals and be introduced to Antigua. Our guide, Ivan, was incredible. He was very down-to-earth, knowledgeable about coffee and the culture in Antigua, extremely friendly, and seemed to have a very positive relationship with everyone we interacted with. Ivan took us to four different coffee shops, where the owners/managers gave us a coffee item/experience and a food item to match. They were even funny enough to adjust last-minute to a food allergy in our group, and made this seem effortless. Each coffee shop gave us a different type of coffee and taught us something unique about their coffee process. Everyone was very passionate about what they do, yet humble. They were all amazing conversationalists in English as well. We are incredibly impressed by the people we met and, of course, the coffee we had. If we ever are lucky enough to return to Antigua, we will absolutely be booking this tour again.
