What to Expect

Founder & Cooking instructor Wandee

Born and raised Southern Thailand, growing up in her mother’s restaurant Wandee did her part, helping cook for the customers. Wandee left her home town Nakhon Si Thamarat to study Journalism in Bangkok.

Wandee is well-travelled with much time spent in South-East Asia, Europe and North America – the foundations for her cooking class. During her travels she worked as a cook in several countries. After her many years as a journalist, writing about food and culture, Wandee would often think back about the times spent cooking and teaching Thai food for many of her travelling friends. It was this experience and constant memories which inspired her to create her own cooking class.

In Bamboo, from the shell or the leaf

• Khao Lharm (Glutinous rice baked in a bamboo cylinder ) (ข้าวหลาม)
• Hoh Mok Maprao On (Steamed fish curry in a green coconut) (ห่อหมกมะพร้าวอ่อน)

Curry mania (Make your own curry paste from scratch)

• Kaeng kieaw wan (Green curry) with chicken or seafood.
• Kaeng Massaman (Massaman Curry) with chicken.
• Kaeng Panaeng (Panang Curry) with chicken or seafood.
• Kaeng Chu Chee (Southern Thai Curry with coconut cream) with a selection of fish from the Andaman sea (Trevallies or barramundi)

Morning Class Schedule

• 9:30 am: Pick up at the hotel
• 10:20 am: Market tour at local market
• 10:40 am: Cooking
• 12:10 pm: Get together for having lunch and share your meal with each other
• 1:20 pm: Photo opportunities in beautiful organic garden
• 2:00 pm: Arrive back to the hotel

Afternoon Class Schedule

• 3:30 pm: Pick up at the hotel
• 3:50 pm: Market tour at local market
• 4:10 pm: Cooking
• 5:40 pm: Get together for having lunch and share your meal with each other
• 6:20 pm: Photo opportunities in beautiful organic garden
• 6:40 pm: Arrive back to the hotel
