Without a doubt, the very best part of the course was Olga herself. She is such an energetic and passionate woman, a true queen of pasta making! Her knowledge is incredible: she understands every detail about pasta, flour, and the entire preparation process. Her enthusiasm is contagious and made the whole experience both enjoyable and unforgettable.
This was our first cooking class ever and Olga set the standard really high! We had a great time and experience so we can truly recommend Olga. Not only because of her cooking experience but also as a warm person.
Olga, was an exceptional teacher explaining both the science and art of making fresh pasta! Thank you for the great conversation and for the education on the intricacies of making some of the best fresh pasta we have ever tasted. We highly recommend this class; it was a highlight of our time in Italy! Best The Hinckley family
We were lucky to find this gem with such short notice (we were only in town for 1 night). Allyson is absolutely wonderful! She was patient and knowledgeable. We loved the attention to detail, education, and pearls of wisdom she shared about all the dishes. Everything was delicious and flavorful. A great experience to have in Bologna with an amazing instructor. Thank you for the unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!
Loved it
Olga was an excellent host and provided very clear instructions during the whole cooking lesson. She also gave a lot of interesting insights and background to food in this region compared to others. I would highly recommend you give it a try!
This cooking experience exceeded our expectations. Olga's home offered beautiful views over the city, and the small-group setting made the class very personal. We learned traditional pasta-making techniques, enjoyed excellent wine, and left with new skills, wonderful memories, and some leftovers to take home.
We loved every minute of this experience. The welcome wine helped everyone relax, and the atmosphere was friendly and engaging. Olga shared stories about Bolognese food traditions while teaching us how to roll pasta with a wooden rolling pin. Everything we made was absolutely delicious.
If you want an authentic culinary experience in Bologna, this is it. Olga is a fantastic host and teacher. The class was well organized, hands-on, and suitable even for beginners. Sitting down together to enjoy our homemade tagliatelle, tortelloni, and tiramisu was a wonderful way to end the experience.
This was much more than a cooking class—it felt like spending an afternoon with a local friend. Olga patiently guided us through every step of making fresh pasta from scratch, and I was surprised by how much I learned. The tortelloni were incredible, and I can't wait to recreate the recipes at home.
Olga welcomed us into her beautiful home and immediately made us feel like family. Learning how to make fresh tagliatelle and tortelloni using traditional techniques was fascinating, and the tiramisu was the perfect ending. The delicious food and warm hospitality made this one of the highlights of our trip to Bologna.
Hi, I’m Olga. I was born and raised in London, but I have been living in Bologna for over 40 years, surrounded by the traditions of one of Italy’s greatest food capitals and the home of fresh handmade pasta. Cooking has always been part of my life since I was a child, and my greatest passion is fresh pasta rolled by hand with the traditional wooden rolling pin, just like true Bolognese tradition. I already host cooking classes, and I deeply love sharing food, stories, traditions, and authentic human connection. For me, cooking is not only about recipes — it’s about community, creativity, laughter, and creating meaningful moments together around a table. I love nature, slow living, genuine experiences, and welcoming people into a warm and relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels at home while discovering the real soul of Bologna through food and togetherness.
