This cooking experience is for those travelers who wish to gain insight into an Indian home and interact with an Indian middle-class family while learning to prepare a traditional Indian meal, dessert, and drink.

You will get to see how homes in India are styled and furnished and how a local family lives in India.

You will discover the culinary heritage and cultural values of India, beyond just the food. You will also get an opportunity to learn some useful Hindi words and sentences in a fun activity that you can use during your travels.

Nidhi

I am a homemaker and very passionate about cooking. I have been using my skills to make exquisite delicacies for more than 28 years. I am always complimented for my cooking, with people asking me to teach them how to make a particular dish. In India, it is believed food made with love and warmth tastes much better than a chef in a restaurant who is just doing his job. I have hosted 1200+ Guests from more than 90 countries on various platforms in last 7+ years since I started doing such Experiences. My husband, Roopak, shall be my co-host.

It was such a special experience!

We cooked some amazing Indian food. I made a request to make some paneer curry instead. They made me very comfortable, especially as a solo female traveler. The day before I was extremely unwell so they were kind enough to reschedule the class to the next day. Definitely book this class if you want to learn about the Indian culture! Thanks again

This was a great experience to learn more about the food and culture of India!

The hosts welcomed us warmly into their home and accommodated our dietary restrictions with a menu change. We learned Hindi in between our time cooking and had all of our questions answered. We were also given additional travel advice which was very helpful. Recommend to all who want an authentic experience from kind, knowledgeable people.

What a wonderful experience!

The communication ahead of time was thorough. They picked me up from the metro station and took me to their home. They gave me a hearty welcome and shared all kinds of information about Hindu culture. The cooking class was informative and accessible. I felt very safe and welcomed as a solo female traveler. An Unforgettable Delhi Cooking Experience

Our cooking experience with Nidhi and her family was truly one of the highlights of our time in Delhi. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into their home with incredible warmth and hospitality, and the entire afternoon felt intimate, genuine, and deeply authentic. We loved every aspect of the class. Not only learning how to prepare authentic homemade Indian dishes, but also hearing the stories, traditions, and cultural meaning behind the food. Everything was hands-on, relaxed, and thoughtfully organized, making it feel less like a class and more like spending time with friends and family. We have participated in cooking experiences all over the world, and this one genuinely stood out from the rest. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and authenticity made it unforgettable. Meeting Point

Option 1 - The Guest can arrive by Cab / Uber at Sanskriti Apartment, Sector 19B, Dwarka, Delhi - 110075. I will meet the Guest inside the Sanskriti Apartment and then take him/her into my home for the Experience.

Option 2 - My home is just 5 min. (by car) from the nearest Metro Station which is "Dwarka Sector 10" on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro. I can pick up & drop off the Guest from the Metro Station at no extra cost.

In both Options, the Guest will receive detailed instructions from me after booking.
