What to Expect

Class discussions are relaxed and friendly and are held in the elegant grounds of the second Honeymoon Guesthouse. They include specific references to the role of food in Balinese society, its ceremonial use, and religious importance.

This is the change to learn the Balinese traditional dish for everyone, especially the one who loves Balinese food. Herbs and all ingredients are the interesting parts because you will not find them in your country. There are only in Bali, which why we call it local traditional food. Moreover, you will learn and see the culture of the Balinese. This class will be the a wonderful experience in your life.

Schedule

Monday & Wednesday

9:00am - 9:15am: Please be at Honeymoon Guesthouse before 9:30am.

9:30am: Cooking class starts with an introduction to Balinese spices followed by the preparation and cooking of the dishes.

12:00 pm: a family-style Balinese lunch is served.

12:30pm: Dessert with Balinese coffee or tea.

1:00 pm: End of class.

Wonderful hands-on experience of Balinese food

Learning how to use local ingredients to make a delicious feast was lots of fun, and sampling all the dishes at the end of the class was even better! I now have some recipes to try again at home - a gift from Bali I'll never forget. Thank you Uday, Oleg and Wayan, our wonderful teachers!

Fantastic opportunity to learn about Balinese cuisine

The team of wonderful women at Casa Luna made for a very fun, informative and tasty cooking class. The ingredients were super fresh and the environment was spotlessly clean. We learned about the importance of spice and aromatics in Balinese cooking and the food that we made was absolutely delicious. I really regretted not having enough time to do the plant based course. Highly recommend

Balinese cuisine.

Excellent experience in a small group and in the most idyllic setting. All the staff are very knowledgable and helpful. I gained a greater understanding of how real Balinese food is sourced, prepared, cooked and presented. I can’t wait to try it all when I return how.
