Private Cooking Classes with Food Market Tour near Rialto Bridge

What to Expect

Ciao, my name is Gioia and I will be your personal cooking teacher in Venice. I'm a professional chef and I will help you to learn the basics of the Italian cuisine. I focus on and teach how to cook dishes you can prepare every day at home so that, by the end of the course, you will be able to cook pasta, lasagne, gnocchi, risotto, tiramisù. All of which in my Venice apartment, in the city center. 

We will meet at Rialto Market for a food tour in the historical market to choose local products. We'll visit to local food & wine shops there. After the market we'll have a short walk of 25 minutes to my apartment where you'll have your cooking class. When everything is finished; we'll sit down and enjoy the food together.

Rialto market is closed on Sunday and Monday. In those days I organize a tour on the historical city center.

Menu

You can choose between a vegetarian/meat/fish menù. We will cook together a 2 courses menu.

Here just some suggestions of the dishes we can prepare together:

• Homemade fresh pasta with homemade vegetarian / fish / meat sauce
• Tortellini or ravioli with homemade vegetarian / fish / meat  sauce
• Potato gnocchi with homemade sauce
• Risotto with local fish or fresh vegetables

Schedule

• 9:00 am: Pick up at Rialto Mercato water bus stop
• 9:10 am: Visit to the Rialto Market (Rialto market is closed on Sunday and Monday. In those days I organize a tour on the historical city center.)
• 10:00 am: Stroll to my apartment walking in the city center
• 10:30 am: Coffee break
• 10:45 am: Cooking lessons
• 1:00 pm: Lunch together
