A wonderful family experience at UCHEF Kitchen! We had such a great time at UCHEF Kitchen! My family and I joined one of their cooking classes and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The studio was clean and well-kept, which made us feel really comfortable throughout the whole session. The class itself was fun and engaging — perfect for spending quality time together while learning something new about Nyonya/Peranakan heritage cooking. It wasn’t just about the food; it felt like a proper cultural experience too. We walked away with full stomachs, new skills, and some lovely memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Malacca who wants a hands-on, heartwarming activity for the whole family!
A hidden gem in Melaka! We came here looking for something different from the usual sightseeing and had such a lovely time. It was interesting to learn about Peranakan traditions while making our own traditional treats.
We came across UChef Kitchen while looking for something different to do in Melaka instead of just walking around Jonker Walk. It turned out to be a really fun experience. We got to make Ang Ku Kueh and Onde Onde ourselves, and later made our own cendol too. 🍧 The cendol was especially nice after being out in the hot weather! Everything was quite relaxed and hands-on, and it was nice to actually make the food instead of just trying it. A little unexpected find during our trip to Melaka, but we really enjoyed it. ❤️
Traveling solo, I wasn't sure which cooking class to pick in Melaka — glad I chose UCHEF Kitchen! It's near the heart of the city, walking distance from my hotel, and only around RM 5.00 by Grab from downtown. Parking's easy too, and they can host large groups (up to 50, 40 comfortably). Even alone, I never felt out of place — the class was welcoming, the space clean and comfortable, and I left with new skills, good food, and a great memory. Loved the free keychain that came with the ticket too — such a nice touch! Highly recommend, solo or otherwise!
Aug 2026 • Friends We had such a fun time at Uchef Kitchen making traditional Nyonya kuih! We chose the Ang Ku Kueh and Ondeh-Ondeh packages, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience for the whole family. A special thank you to my friend who travelled all the way from Selangor to Melaka just to meet up with me and join us for this kuih-making experience! 🥹❤️ It was so nice to catch up, have fun together and make some yummy kuih at the same time. We really had a great time! 🥳 Everything was very hands-on, and we got to make the kuih ourselves from start to finish. The instructor was friendly and patient, and guided us along the way, so even my daughter could join in and have fun. She especially enjoyed shaping the Ang Ku Kueh and making the Ondeh-Ondeh. 😆 It was really nice to learn more about these traditional local kuih instead of just buying and eating them. And of course, the best part was getting to enjoy what we made afterwards! 😂 Definitely a fun activity for families and friends, especially if you’re looking for something different and hands-on to do in Melaka. We had such a lovely time and left with lots of happy memories! ❤️
