Authentic Mexican Cooking in Playa del Carmen: One Course Meal

What to Expect

A one day "hands-on" cooking course, where students learn to prepare a Mexican 1 course meal in a chic and cozy atmosphere. Classes are held in a fully equipped and professional kitchen created for cooking courses in the home of the chef.

Students also learn about our many varieties of fresh and dried peppers and we end the class with a lesson and tasting on tequila and mescal.

All material is included, drinks, recipes and instructions from the chef.

Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are available. Any allergies or special food dislikes are also taken in consideration so that all students can fully enjoy their meal

Menu

Menus are changed accordingly to the season, chef's personal choice or students with special food requirements. We have 10 different menus but these 3 are some of our favorite:

Examples of 1 course menu meals:

• Duet of Enchiladas: Enchiladas Suizas (creamy green sauce enchilada, filled with chicken, baked in the oven topped with cream and cheese), refried beans and Enchiladas Rojas (dried pepper sauce enchilada, filled with chicken, topped with a tomato sauce,cotija cheese, shredded lettuce and pickled onions

• Carne asada a la tampiqueña (grilled flank steak accompanied by green and red salsa, macha salsa, guacamole, pickled onions, refried beans, mole enchilada and "rajas poblanas"-poblano pepper with onion and corn sauce)

• Fish and Shrimp tacos Baja style (fish and shrimp in a beer and mustard tempura batter, with a creamy chipotle sauce, pickled onions, refried beans, shredded lettuce and a tomatillo and avocado creamy sauce)
