Fall in love with the flavors, aromas, textures, and sounds of Mexican cuisine—not just by tasting it, but by learning how to prepare it from the very beginning, starting with selecting the ingredients.

You’ll begin by choosing a dish from each section of our menu. Then, our first stop will be the vibrant Jamaica Market, home to the largest flower market in Latin America. Here, we’ll show you how Mexicans select fresh ingredients, build lasting relationships with vendors, and even haggle like a local.

Next, we’ll hop on the subway together. Don’t worry—we’ll guide you through the process, sharing safety tips, connections to other transport, and the advantages of navigating the most accessible subway system on the continent.

Finally, we’ll arrive at our home to cook. As we prepare your chosen dishes, we’ll share our culinary secrets, seasoning tips, and the stories behind each ingredient. Every recipe embodies a moment of Mexico’s history and culture. By the end, you’ll not only enjoy a delicious meal—you’ll also gain a deeper connection to our traditions, our city, and our way of life.

Programa

• 9:00 am – Meet at the Jamaica subway entrance, Line 9, in front of the market entrance. (Hotel pickup is available for an additional charge.)
• 9:10 am – Enjoy a guided tour of the three halls of the Jamaica Flower Market.
• 10:00 am – Shop together for the ingredients for our menu.
• 10:35 am – Take the subway to our home.
• 11:15 am – Time to cook! Learn about our city and the history behind each dish as we prepare the meal together.
• 12:45 pm – Share the meal we’ve created and enjoy stories about our culture, history, and traditions.
• 2:00 pm – End of the experience.
