I booked a morning session where we visited the local market and ricefield and made an offering basket. It was a very informative and hands-on session run by I Vana where we learnt the steps to create a multi course Nasi Campur meal with a starter and dessert. She was a great and patient teacher to us. It was so fulfilling to create such a delicious and flavourful meal from scratch and I was very appreciative of how my vegan diet was accommodated. This cooking class was definitely a highlight from my trip!
We really enjoyed the cooking class. The atmosphere was familiar and pleasant. We visited the market in the morning where we learned a lot about local food. Afterwards we visited a rice field. After a welcome drink we started the cooking with making offerings. The menu was classic Balinese and we cooked quite traditionally. Everyone could help with whatever. At the end we all ate together and talked
The staff is lovely and guided us well through the cooking process. It was a lot of fun!
We had the best time at the cooking class! Everything was beautifully prepared and tasted so good! They talked everything step by step and we fully cooked everyone by ourselves! It was such a cool experience and would definitely do it again!!!
The host who escorted us from the hotel gave us detailed explanations of the market and rice fields. The wife explained the dishes in a very easy-to-understand manner, and all the participants were very satisfied! The food I prepared was also wonderful and delicious. Everyone felt happy.
It was a great class. It was fun and informative. The food was great.
It was a great experience. This workshop is beyond a regular cooking class; you learn both the food and Balinese culture. It was a wonderful family, thank you!
The experience was fantastic: we learnt a lot and cooked delicious meals!
Great cooking class by local family!!! Would definitely recommend
I loved this experience! Super well organised, I enjoyed the non-cooking parts of the day as well - the visit to the market, making the offering, learning about rice farming and learning about a traditional Balinese house - even the cheeky monkeys coming to check out our food was all part of the fun! Thanks to the team for putting together such a lovely day for our group :).
Very kindly people, absolutly delicious food and a beautiful place!
the staff was amazing! they were super kind and they took a lot of care of us. they shared experiences with us and we could see where and how they live. they taught us everything in the kitchen and the food at the end was very very good :) we had a very nice time! 100% recomendable :)
Everything was arranged for us— even that we were only 2 who made booking in that morning, they still made it happen and didn’t postpone it to evening, so we got private cooking class. Staff were great, we learned so much about Balinese culture, living and food. Super experience!
The Staff was excellent, very nice an communicative! Everything was perfectly planned and executed. The food was great and I learned a lot. The venue is beautiful and you have an amazing open kitchen with jungle view. I definitely recommend taking this class!
I would highly recommend booking this class! My friends and I had loads of fun cooking up indonesian dishes and learning more about the indonesian culture around food. I have barely any cooking experience and the food still came out amazing! This class was one of the highlights of my friends' and I's trip to Bali.
OK, I highly recommend taking this class. The drivers, guides, and cooks are all so helpful and kind. They will even call you brother or sister when you are cooking. It is one of the cheaper cooking classes in Bali, and you can definitely notice that. There is nothing in this class that is absolutely astonishing or mind-blowing, the class is all about family and fun. They assist you throughout the whole process, making sure you are making the dishes tasty and more importantly correctly. It is just wholesome fun and good cooking. I 10/10 recommend taking this class if you want a cheap but amazing cooking class!
The cooking class was great. You learn so much about the ingredience and the cooking processes. The Team was very friendly and made the cooking class very funny.
It was a good time too! Everything was good from the market explaining the ingredients to enjoying the food that they made together. It was a very significant time for me to major in cooking, and the easy lessons continued for my brother who could not cook. Their kindness and even laughter are lovely. I plan to visit again someday
Nice cooking class in ubud, great expérience to learn how to mix spices and make balinese dishes. The experience begins with a little visit of the market, then rice fields and learning of balinese offering. It continues with cooking class and eat them after. They give you a little book with the recipes of all dishes you've made durant the class.
4 Aussie friends very much enjoyed our cooking class. There was the bonus of lots of cultural information. The setup was fantastic.
The experience was great. We cooked delicious food, had a great time at the market and the team is fun and lovely. I highly recommend it.
This was one of the best things we did in Bali! It was so great to learn about Balinese culture through food. Highly recommended!
It was a beautiful experience. ALl the aspects, details, people, food, everything was perfectly organised. I strongly recommend it to anyone that has half of the day to do it, as it's one of the best and memorable things you could do in Bali.
