I think it is very good that we can go to the local market and learn different ingredients through observation and the teacher told us how different ingredients was used in Thai food and the effect of it. One way to learn more about a place culture is to see their local wet market. This can let you know what people eat, how do they cook and the price of different raw materials.

Le cours était super. Tout était prêt. Les plats cuisent rapidement, on peut les adapter à son goût et emporter les restes. Il y a eu un petit souci avec ma recette, mais le professeur a rectifié le tir et j'ai reçu des instructions détaillées pour préparer un pad thaï traditionnel et savoir comment remplacer certains ingrédients. J'ai passé un excellent moment.

Nous avons passé un moment formidable à apprendre à cuisiner de délicieux plats thaïlandais authentiques. La veille, nous avions choisi nos entrées, plats principaux et desserts, et tout avait été préparé avec soin. À notre arrivée près du lieu de l'atelier, nous avons visité un marché local pour découvrir les ingrédients frais que nous allions utiliser et apprendre leur rôle dans chaque plat. Ensuite, nous nous sommes mis aux fourneaux, guidés pas à pas par Ploy, notre chef et professeur. L'expérience s'est terminée en beauté lorsque nous avons dégusté tous les délicieux mets que nous avions préparés. Ploy et toute son équipe ont été incroyablement gentils et généreux. Nous recommandons vivement cette expérience à tous les amateurs de cuisine thaïlandaise.

La visite au marché a été très enrichissante. À ma grande surprise, les plats que j'ai préparés étaient délicieux. J'ai beaucoup appris sur la préparation des légumes, l'assaisonnement et les épices.

Le cours de cuisine était parfaitement organisé, de la communication aux transferts en passant par la variété des plats ! Je recommande vivement cette expérience, excellent rapport qualité-prix !

Nous avons participé au cours de l'après-midi et c'était une pause très agréable par rapport au reste du voyage. Il aurait sans doute pu être un peu plus stimulant (la plupart des ingrédients étaient déjà préparés, il nous suffisait de faire quelques sauces et de cuisiner au wok), mais après tout, en vacances, on n'a pas forcément envie de trop se prendre la tête ! Le repas était délicieux et copieux – un conseil : sautez le déjeuner et venez avec un bon appétit !

Une très belle expérience. Tout était parfait. Étant donné ma fragilité digestive, j'ai bénéficié d'un menu adapté. La découverte du marché a été un vrai plus.

J'ai adoré les tuteurs et la visite du marché. Étant végétarienne, j'ai constaté qu'ils avaient porté une grande attention à mes plats afin que je puisse pleinement apprécier toutes les saveurs. Ils ont été patients et extrêmement gentils. Nous avons même pu emporter les plats que nous n'avions pas pu terminer. Je recommande vivement !

Ce cours de cuisine était génial ! Nous avons adoré notre visite au marché, puis le rythme soutenu du cours. Tout était préparé à l'avance et chacun a pu composer son menu. Je crois même que nous avons préféré les rouleaux de printemps que nous avons préparés ici à ceux que nous avons dégustés ailleurs. Je recommande vivement !

J'ai participé au cours d'une demi-journée avec visite du marché et ce fut une expérience fantastique. On est venu me chercher à l'heure précise et la visite du marché était géniale ; j'ai appris plein de choses sur les différents légumes, viandes et herbes utilisés dans la cuisine thaïlandaise. Le cours se déroulait dans un charmant cottage près d'un petit lac : un endroit vraiment magnifique ! Grâce à leurs conseils avisés, nous avons pu préparer quatre plats en un rien de temps. Bref, une expérience formidable que je recommande vivement. Un grand merci à Khloy (j'espère que je ne me trompe pas de nom), notre guide.

À l'école, on nous a appris à préparer huit plats différents. Il y avait tellement de nourriture que nous n'avons pas pu tout manger. Des contenants sont fournis pour emporter les restes, mais comme nous étions en croisière, nous avons donné les nôtres à notre chauffeur.

Super expérience ! On a passé un super moment et on a pu choisir les plats qu'on voulait préparer, puis on a dégusté nos propres recettes pour le déjeuner. Le personnel était vraiment très sympa.

Le chauffeur et le moniteur étaient tous deux très polis, sympathiques et drôles ! J'ai été surprise de la facilité avec laquelle on peut préparer certains de mes plats thaïlandais authentiques préférés ! Surtout les beignets de banane ! Ils étaient DÉLICIEUX. J'y retournerai sans hésiter à mon retour. Ma fille et moi y sommes allées ensemble pendant que le reste du groupe faisait de la plongée. Nous avons opté pour la session du matin et étions les deux seuls élèves, ce qui nous a permis de bénéficier d'un cours particulier ! Un après-midi fantastique en compagnie de Favour, une cuisinière talentueuse et très compétente. Nous avons exploré le marché de Kathu, et Favour nous a expliqué et montré tous les ingrédients couramment utilisés dans la cuisine thaïlandaise. Nous avons ensuite été confortablement conduits à l'école de cuisine, où tout s'est déroulé à merveille. L'organisation était impeccable et nous avons passé un excellent moment à cuisiner les plats de notre choix. Je recommande vivement !

I really appreciated the market tour as I had attempted to do some shopping on my own prior to taking the class. The guide provided great explanations of ingredients typically used in Thai cooking, which prepared my mindset for the class. Allowing students to choose what they cook was awesome! I follow a plant-based diet, and the staff even noted what I should look for on food labels when shopping. The site of the class is lovely. I really appreciated the cleanliness and the fact that each student had their own gas cook top, pans, and utensils. This was a truly amazing experience. I cook at home every day, but appreciated the cultural culinary experience.

Great class, such variety to cook. Teachers were easy to understand. Fresh indigence, market tour was informative. A wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this class!!!

Very organised and cleverly done. Even with 12 people in the class still got individual attention and the teachers where always there ready to show us what to do next and help. Friendly and happy atmosphere. The food tasted great.

A well organised trip. 10 of us cooking different meals is quite a feat to organise! Christine did an excellent job of keeping us all focused and getting all the meals cooked! We cooked5 different meals each - lots of food and great experience. Highly recommended.

Great way to experience and learn more about Thai food! Tour overall was very well organised, market tour in the morning was very informative. Actual cooking class was very hands on, loved the ability to customise the menu so you get to cook all your favourite meals. Be warned: do not eat before you go, you will be given a lot of food!

If you enjoy food and cooking this is a must! Expert instruction from the lovely Christine but what she also bought to the experience was a nice friendly and relaxed vibe. I loved the market experience which was an education in itself. The school was well equipped, clean and airy with beautiful views. There are I think ten cooking stations, plenty of room to move around and after your hard work you get to eat your delicious creation along with wine (at a small additional cost). Water is free. The leftovers can be boxed up to take away which is just as well because the portions are big. I loved every minute and will do it again.

The teacher and assistants were so engaging and made it fun. Our dishes were so delicious and while the cooking process went so fast we really hope we can recreate these back at home. It was a truly memorable day and would highly recommend anyone thinking of doing it to book this event. I had researched so many events and glad we chose this. A special birthday treat for my husband. Keep up the good work!

The visit to the local market was interesting because the guide took time to introduce and explain to us the local fruits, vegetables, sauces etc.. and gave us time to explore the market on our own to buy what we wanted for ourselves. There were street food as well that we could buy and eat immediately. The cooking school is very cosy and the kitchen is air-conditioned. Instructions for cooking were provided step by step so if you are really slow at learning, you will still do fine. The teachers were very patient and outgoing and we sat together around a table to eat the end product of our many dishes for lunch. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this! :)

The class was excellent. The driver picked us up on time. The friendly teachers met us at the market and we started with a short market tour. We learned a lot about different types of traditional Thai food. The school was in a beautiful environment, clean and nice. We learned how to cook one entree, three dishes, and one dessert. The teachers were great. It was an unforgettable experience.

This class catered for the individual choices - not a one stop shop.

I am very glad I came across Phuket Cooking Academy! It was a very good way to spend half a day in Phuket learning Thai cuisines. The market tour prior to the cooking class was a nice touch and we really appreciated the inclusion of hotel pick-up and drop off. The place itself was clean and the view was a wonderful surprise. Das ganze war sehr gut organisiert. Die Gerichte waren top vorbereitet und MiuMui und Say waren sehr kompetent. Ein Lob auch den beiden Ladies die immer alles sofort abgewaschen haben. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience. I am not a cook and worried I would look silly. On the contrary, I completed all my courses confidentially and they tasted great. The building, view and ambience were fabulous. I feel comfortable to come home and make a couple of the dishes. I think this is great value for money.

My husband and I came to Phuket for our honeymoon and took part in a Cookly Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class. We both love cooking so knew we would enjoy the experience. The chefs were so lovely and welcoming, they explained everything very clearly and went at a pace that made us feel comfortable. We loved preparing all of the meals but eating everything was the best part!! All of the ingredients are fresh and Thai food is just so full of flavour!! Such great value for money too!! The ambiance and the location of the class were both terrific. It was great to go to the market first and learn about the ingredients even though we didn't actually purchase all the specific ingredients for the class right at that time. The class was very well organized, ran smoothly and we made lots of food and could even take home leftovers. It was great to get the recipes too. The class teacher King did a very good job. HIghly recommended.

The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The class was also nice and they put a ton of work into trying to make it as smooth as they could. But there were a total of around a dozen people, all cooking different things and it was a bit hectic. This is the second cooking class we have taken in Thailand, the first being in Hua Hin, where we were only a group of 4 total and all cooking the same thing. I felt that went a lot better and I learned a lot more from it. Overall still a wonderful class and a lot of fun, I think it's just grown a bit too large but your milage may vary.

When booking tours through internet you never really know what you are going to get, but this tour really surpassed our expectations. Both the market tour and cooking class were extremely interesting to us, and the atmosphere, location, facilities and way of teaching were all very pleasant. We had a small group and had a very nice and personal cooking class by funny and nice Thai chef cook King and an assistant. Although no newcomers in cooking, we learned a lot, and of course the food was delicious. A real recommendation if you are looking to learn more about Thai food and culture.
