The class will be in an authentic Italian house, in a nice area in Florence.

We prepare the basis for fresh pasta, and learn to make different types, such as tagliatelle, tortellini, ravioli etc.. Colored fresh pasta with natural ingredients and also we make Gnocchi from scratch.

We prepare 3 different sauces for pasta and gnocchi, sit down together to eat them.

The atmosphere will be intimate and personal and the number of participants is limited to 6 persons. This also allows us to be flexible on the menu and to host (if reported in advance) gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian or specific intolerance or allergies.

Courses are paired with appropriate wines and the history of the dish being created.

The menù will change depending on seasons and availability of fresh products, but just for an example can be:

Colored Tagliatelle or spaghetti with Gorgonzola and walnuts or Classic meat sauce
Gnocchi with fresh tomatoes sauce or fresh Pesto
Ravioli with artichokes and pancetta sauce or butter and fresh sage

2:00 pm: End of the day with new friends!

"Perfect experience in Florence!"

This was better than we could have imagined! It was just my fiance and I and another couple that we did not know. It was a very personal and authentic experience and the food was fantastic! We made a whole host of pastas and sauces and it was all hands-on. The instructor guided us but we were definitely the cooks! Manuela was an excellent host! She welcomed us with fresh coffee, treated us to prosecco at the end and even called a cab for us when it was time to leave. Her home is definitely out of the Florence city center so hailing a cab would have virtually impossible. They also did an excellent job accomodating my fiance's lactose intolerance. He was able to eat everything yet no one in the group missed out on anything because of his constraints. I cannot say enough great things about this experience!

Mara was so friendly and gracious. She instantly made us feel at home. The kitchen was so well equipped , for which I was envious! We learned techniques, “secrets” and timing. We feel more comfortable exploring these dishes at home. Not only did we learn how to make a variety of pastas using different devices , we also learned about pairing the sauces. I chose this class because it focused on pasta AND sauces. We took away delicious and relaxed memories of the day! We highly recommend this experience when visiting Florence. We did not have a car but it is easy to walk to the school from the duomo area.
