Khmer Cooking Class with Fresh Ingredients from The Local Market

Guests who are hunger to learn about Khmer cuisine can enroll in our half or full-day cooking class. 

Start the morning by exploring a local market where you will experience the hustle and bustle and absorb the flavor of a typical Cambodian market. You will have time to walk around, take pictures and observe vendors selling their wares. You will learn about local fruits, vegetables and herbs and procure the freshest ingredients you need for the day's lesson.

Returning to our kitchen, our experienced chef will guide you through tried-and-true Khmer cooking techniques. Unlock ancient secrets of Khmer cooking through this authentic culinary experience. After the demonstration and with our chef's assistance, you will discover new tastes and textures as you learn to prepare traditional dishes, which will be enjoyed for lunch. 

The recipes are yours to keep so you can recreate the Cambodian culinary experience in the comfort of your own home and impress your friends and family.

Menu

Learn to make any 3 of the following dishes:

• Fresh Spring Roll: Khmer rice noodle, Khmer herb, bean sprout carrot served with sweet sauce (contained peanuts)
• Chicken Curry: Chicken with potato, onion, carrot, French bean, broccoli & coconut milk
• Banana Palm: Banana in sweet creamy pineapple juice served with fresh pineapple

(Note. students can choose to cook other dishes if a request is made in advance)

Morning class

• 9:00 am: Guest meet at the Cooking Class and proceeding by Tuk Tuk the local market where guests will be told and shown of Cambodian fruits, vegetables and spices.
• 10:00 am: Take a Tuk Tuk ride back to the Cooking Class.
• 10:15 am: Arrival at the Cooking Class with a refreshing drink and cold towel and recipe.
• 10:30 am: Theory Class where the Chef will represent a cookery demonstration of the dishes that you are going to prepare.
• 11:00 am: Cooking session.
• 12:00 pm: Time to taste and enjoy your own culinary creation. Also, Certificate given and photo session.
• 1:00 pm: End of the class.

Afternoon class

• 3:00 pm: Guest meet at the Cooking Class and proceeding by Tuk Tuk the local market where guests will be told and shown of Cambodian fruits, vegetables and spices.
