This is the perfect cooking class for those wanting to experience an authentic Yucatan dinner. You will learn all about local ingredients, cooking with the ripest, most flavorful and rarest of all. Ever heard of achiote, zapote, flor de calabaza? We will explain all about them and let you taste so much more.

Hands will be ready on chopping, slicing and mixing ingredients. This is the time to test the chef with questions like: "what is the secret of a good guacamole?" or "what is the difference between tequila and mezcal?", "can I have a Xtabentún?" Ai! We forgot the buy the chaya, no problem, we will harvest it fresh out of the garden.

While the Panuchos, Brazo de Reina, Cochinita Pibil, Guacamole, Sopa de Lima or any of the delicious dishes we prepare are ready, our very own Metzin will take some pictures of you doing all the hard work in the kitchen so you can take the memories back home.

We are sure you will be hungry as a delicious dinner will be served in the enchanting courtyard beside the pool.

Traditional Yucatan Dinner

The result of the cooking class will be a 3 course delicious dinner, with entrée, main dish and dessert. Dishes include classics of the Yucatan cuisine, such as Panuchos, Brazo de Reina, Cochinita Pibil or Sopa de Lima. Guacamole is a must!

Drinks

*Welcome drink (Jamaica-hibiscus flower iced tea, lime with chaya etc).

* 1 drink p/p with meal (white wine, craft beer, etc.)

"Just great!"

We just loved this cooking class with Chef Fabricio! It was only me and my boyfriend and we cooked some really nice and fresh Mexican/Yucatan dishes. Fabricio gave us really helpull tips for the kitchen and explained a lot about Mexican and Yucatan (food)culture. Of course the food was so delicious as well. We can only recommend it!

"Great experience"

Super nice stuff. The chef and the owner where both very nice and friendly and very patient. Super yummy food, it's also looks great. Free drinks were in the price included. I would recommend it to everyone who loves to cook. It's also great for people which don't have any experience in cooking. Also possible as a vegetarian or vegan!

"Sharing traditions - sunset dinner"

We were the only ones taking the class and had the opportunity to learn new skills, ingredients and recipes. The food we cooked was really tasty and different. Loved the achiote seabass. The chef Maho (I apologise for guessing the spelling) was skilled and knowledgeable. Although she didn't speak great English (and our Spanish was non-existent) she taught us well and showed enthusiasm for the food and the class. The translator Javier was also really friendly and helpful and clearly knew his way around the kitchen. Amazing value and great fun!

"Definitely a 5 star experience!!"

Everyone from the owner to the receptionist to Chef David and the other 2 chefs in the kitchen were so talented, knowledgeable and kind!! I recommend this class to anyone interested in cooking or the history of cooking in the Yucatan.
