In this fun and hands-on Nagoya cooking class, you’ll learn how to make Taiwan Mazesoba, one of Nagoya’s most famous local ramen dishes, together with crispy Japanese gyoza in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The experience takes place in a comfortable cooking studio in Nagoya, conveniently located near public transportation and just a short walk from the nearest station. Please arrive at the designated studio before the scheduled start time.
After meeting at the kitchen studio, we’ll begin the cooking session together. First, you’ll prepare ingredients and learn how to make the flavorful minced meat topping that gives Taiwan Mazesoba its rich and addictive taste. Unlike traditional ramen, Taiwan Mazesoba is served without broth and mixed with savory toppings, fresh ingredients, and egg yolk for bold flavor. Despite its name, this dish is actually a Nagoya-born local specialty, and you’ll hear the fun story behind why it is called “Taiwan.”
Next, you’ll make crispy gyoza using a homemade filling recipe while learning folding techniques and cooking tips to achieve the perfect crispy texture. This class is beginner-friendly, so no cooking experience is needed.
After cooking, sit down and enjoy the delicious dishes you created yourself. You’ll also receive recipe access via QR code so you can recreate the meal at home after your trip to Japan.
What makes this experience memorable is the chance to discover authentic Nagoya food culture through a local cooking experience while enjoying meaningful conversations about travel, Japan, and food in a welcoming atmosphere.
