This experience goes beyond recipes and offers a deeper look into Southern Thai food and culture.

You’ll learn the foundations of Southern Thai cuisine, including bold flavor balance, fresh herbs, and traditional techniques that differ from Central Thai cooking. Annie explains why each ingredient matters and how to recreate the dishes confidently at home.

Through a walk in the home garden, you’ll be introduced to the herbs, fruits, and plants commonly used in Southern Thai cooking. You’ll learn what grows locally, when ingredients are in season, and why home gardens remain an important part of everyday life in the South.

You’ll also discover the cultural roots of Manora, a traditional Southern performance art, and how food, storytelling, and local traditions are closely connected.

The class introduces Southern Thai food culture through everyday life: local dialect used in markets and kitchens, Southern-style dim sum as part of daily routines, and Kanom Jeen as a staple breakfast with different curries.

Finally, you’ll gain insight into how Thai families share meals and eat at home, beyond restaurants and tourist experiences.

- Soup - Slow Cooked on Charcoal:

• Moo Tom Bai Chamoueng  (Soup with famous local grilled pork with sour local leaves from my garden)
• Tom Gai Kamin (Turmeric/Curcuma Chicken soup)

- Curry:

• Kua Kling (Stir-fried Minced Pork with Southern Thai curry paste, lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves)
• Kaeng Som (Yellow Curry with Fish & Local Vegetables or Charcoal Grilled Pork with Pineapple) 
• Kaeng Kua Prik Kraduk Moo (Southern Thai Curry with Pork Ribs)
• Gai Tot Kamin (Deep fried Turmeric Chicken) 

- Salad:

• Yum Pak Kood (Fern salad) 
• Yum Mamuang bao (Young Mango sour salad with grilled coconut, in season)
• Som tam (Papaya salad)*
• Yum Moo yang (Charcoal grilled Pork salad)*

- Dessert:

• Fresh Local Fruits (Depending on season) with Coconut sticky rice

Jadwalkan

• 8:30 am: I will Pick you up from your Hotel (Please indicate the hotel address on the booking page)
• 8:40 am: Start the day with a Coffee from a local Barista serving Thai-grown coffee beans. 
• 8:45 pm: Walk around the Morning Market with me while I explain the local fruits and vegetables. Get to ask all your questions and learn from the local merchants.
• 9.30 am: Drive to my Jungle Cooking Studio.
  We will begin with a Fresh Coconut Welcome Drink and walk around my Garden where I will show you and explain about the local herbs such as lemon grass, kaffir lime and more. Pick your herbs and vegetables to cook. 
• 9.45 am: Start the Charcoal Stove and begin the Cooking Class. 
• 12 pm: Take your time to Taste your recipes on a traditional bamboo table setting.
• 12.30: Finish your lunch with Fresh Fruits and Tea. Taste my traditional Black Pepper Cookies made in my Family's Bakery. After your lunch, I will bring you back to your hotel.
