Enjoy an intimate three-hour dinner in a lived-in apartment in Chengdu’s Yulin neighborhood. Hosted by two women from Inner Mongolia who have called Chengdu home for over a decade, this experience combines generous Northeast Chinese comfort food with everyday Sichuan flavors.

After a warm welcome, share a round table with your hosts and their three resident cats while enjoying a home-cooked, multi-course meal. Depending on the menu, you may also take part in a simple hands-on cooking activity, such as folding dumplings or mixing a sauce.

The evening continues with tea and relaxed conversation about local life, food culture, and anything you’re curious about. Spice levels, dietary needs, and menu details can be customized in advance, making this a cozy and personal alternative to Chengdu’s bustling restaurants.

• Arrival at the Host’s Home – Arrive around 5:00 PM at the host’s home in Yulin. The exact address will be shared after booking.

• Menu Introduction – Review the dinner menu, with the hosts confirming your preferred spice level and any dietary requirements.
• Cooking Demonstration & Participation – Depending on the menu, take part in simple cooking activities such as mixing sauces or folding dumplings.
• Family-Style Dinner – Sit down to enjoy a multi-course dinner served family-style around a round table.
• Tea & Conversation – Enjoy traditional tea while chatting with the hosts about Chengdu life, regional cuisine, and local travel tips.
