Chef Teddy was absolutely fantastic, he made to experience such fun and enjoyable.

Learn to make a traditional Balinese paste from chopping and grinding fresh ingredients, then incorporate that into some of the 9 dishes we made. followed by eating them at a table on the beach. Teddy was a fun host with good culinary knowledge and humourous personality, explaining along the way and answering any questions we threw at him. While listed as a 4 hour course, ours went for 3 hours due to our own knife skills matching his, and with just 2 people there's less questions and more hands on work. We also got a little recipe booklet for all the dishes and paste we prepared for later reference. We booked for a Vegetarian version of the class, had to shift days to do that, but then heard others had to choose another day due to wanting a meat or seafood version, so nice to know that our choices were respected. If you're staying for a week in the area, flexibility helps and paid of for us. Our resort was an hour's walk back home, time to burn off all the calories we ate! A fun, well paced way to understand a part of the local cuisine.

We had a fantastic class with Teddy. The setting is fabulous on the back patio of the Kebab restaurant overlooking the beach. We were a nice small group (4 in total) so the experience was very personal with lots of attention to detail. We learned all about the various pastes that make up traditional Balinese cooking. We chopped and made them from scratch. Then we cooked a number of dishes and when it was all said and done we sat down to a fabulous meal (see pic). One tip: We were offered a car to come and pick us up at the hotel. When we arrived at Kebab the driver needed to be paid in cash. I had forgotten my wallet but thankfully my wife had hers so we were fine. The car was totally reasonable and I was fine to pay, but I hadn't brought any cash with me which could have been disasterous had my wife not bailed us out. Caught me a bit off guard. A great experience and I would highly recommend.

The two of us had a wonderful afternoon at the Kebek cooking school. We conjured up some delicious dishes, and Teddy explained all the ingredients and showed us how to prepare them. He also took great photos and videos of us while we were cooking. At the end, we enjoyed everything in a fantastic atmosphere on the beach. I would book it again in a heartbeat.

A fun family afternoon cooking 10 dishes. A lovely location made all the better by Teddy who taught us the techniques, kept us laughing and made it a great afternoon for us all. Dinner served beachside was a lovely way to taste our dishes. They catered well for gluten free and dietary requirements. Would definitely recommend this.

The cooking class was so much fun, with lots of great information, smells, tastes, skills and plenty of hands on food preparation and cooking. The dinner at the end was extremely generous and we all went home grateful with a belly full!

Teddy was bubbly and entertaining - explained the cooking process well , and helped where necessary . Enjoyed learning how to make various pastes from scratch , and then cooking various dishes .

We had a good time with Teddy - instructor, chef Theddos , Seta and Avind who were all wonderful and helpful.I would love them to send me some photos that they took, they have my email, as well we were too busy cooking up a storm to be able to take some. Highly recommend however a lot of food so starve fir the day .

5 of us took the Bali Cooking Class with Teddy. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and entertaining. The course was such good value for money and the final meal was delicious. We were all very proud of the skills we acquired on this great course.

Located right on the beach, the setting was picturesque and inviting, with the sound of waves crashing in the background creating a serene atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of our instructors made us feel at home. They greeted us with refreshing coconut drinks and shared fascinating insights into Balinese culture and cuisine. The class was well-structured, starting with a visit to the local market where we learned about fresh ingredients and spices used in traditional Balinese dishes. Despite the rain, which added a certain charm to our experience, the instructors adapted seamlessly. They set up a cozy cooking station under a covered area, allowing us to continue our culinary adventure without missing a beat. We prepared a variety of dishes, including aromatic Nasi Goreng and flavorful Satay, all while laughing and sharing stories with fellow participants. What truly made this experience unforgettable was the culmination of our efforts: enjoying the delicious meal we had cooked together right on the beach. The rain had subsided just in time for us to set up a beautiful dining area with a view of the ocean. Dining al fresco, with the soft sound of the waves and the scent of the sea air, was magical. The food was incredible! Each dish was a reflection of the vibrant flavors of Bali, and there was something special about savoring the fruits of our labor in such a beautiful setting. The instructors encouraged us to share our thoughts on the dishes, which led to delightful conversations and connections among the group. In summary, this Balinese cooking class was an unforgettable experience that showcased not only the culinary delights of the island but also the warmth of its people. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and interactive way to immerse themselves in Balinese culture, rain or shine!

We had an amazing time the chef Teddy was fun and did a great job! Entire staff was helpful and engaging! We cooked several different types of dishes and food and got to eat everything. Very delicious and great experience!

We were very fortunate to be just two participating in this class. It was very professionally run on the beach in front of a resort restaurant. With the help of Resort staff it was a very smooth operation. We got to make 3 pastes and 6 dishes in the 3 hours allocated. The chef was professional in every way and made us feel totally at ease showing us many tricks along the way. We learnt heaps. At the end the food was served to us for dinner which was a real delight. It’s great value for money and I certainly recommend it to others and would do it again. You also get the added bonus of a cook book.

This cooking class was great fun, all the staff were excellent. I was on my own but everyone made me feel included in there family. If you are looking the have fun and eat excellent food this is the place to go

It was one of our best experiences on our honeymoon on Bali. The cook took us to a local market and explained in good English all the ingredients we would be using. After that we made 7 traditional Indonesian dishes like Nasi goreng, Gado gado and Sateh. At the end we could enjoy all the dishes we made with a perfect view of the sea. Really recommend it!

Highly recommend this cooking class. You will learn a lot, work with fresh ingredients. Go for the morning option to visit the local market. Friendly and passionate staff, it is well organized. Location outdoors with view on the beach is great.

He injects humor and technique which makes it memorable for us. Highly recommended for a family activity, it’s right on the beach 🏖️ delicious meal.

We did this cooking class and made 9 courses. It was different from other cooking classes because we all helped prepare the 9 courses. In other cooking classes we have all cooked each course individualally. It was fun and the menu was extensive. The chef was very experienced in showing us what to do. Being near the beach with live music just added to the atmosphere. We loved this class and we could not eat all of the food.

Food was great! location was perfect! Right next to the beach path. Kids loved playing in the pool after the cooking class!

The kids loved the beachside BBQ cooking class. We learned how to make Balinese style satay and other condiments. My wife loved the tempeh, she's a vegetarian, so it was a great mix of food for everyone. The class is right in front of the beach and there is a beautiful pool on the grounds for use as well! Had a great time after the class lounging on the beach while eating satay! Highly recommended!
