タイのこの料理教室で、本当に素晴らしい体験をしました！最初から最後まで、すべてがきちんと整理されていて、楽しく、温かく迎え入れてくれました。リラックスしたフレンドリーな雰囲気で、料理経験の有無に関わらず、誰もが気軽に参加できました。新鮮で質の高い食材を使い、本格的なタイ料理の作り方をステップごとに丁寧に教えてくれました。講師の方々は親切で忍耐強く、授業全体を楽しく、かつ教育的なものにしてくれました。そして何より素晴らしかったのは、もちろん料理です。作った料理はどれも本当に美味しかったです！本格的なタイ料理を作り、それをみんなで味わうのは、とても充実した経験でした。タイを訪れる方には、この料理教室を心からお勧めします。今回の旅行のハイライトの一つであり、またぜひ参加したいと思っています。忘れられない体験をありがとうございました！

This class was a great experience. We started with a market tour, which I enjoyed more than anticipated. Then, Ju, our instructor, did a great job of guiding us through the recipes for each dish. I went with a group of friends and we had a fabulous time, highly recommend!

As a Bangkok local, I couldn’t have picked a better first cooking class. The school was easy to find, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the instructor was both fluent in English and incredibly friendly. Her big smile and helpful answers made the experience even better. Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, friends, or families!

I first did a cooking class at Silom Thai Cooking School 10 years ago, and I liked it so much that I returned to do it again! The instructor was friendly and helpful. The class is very well organized and instructions are clear. Best of all, the food is delicious and easy to make. Highly recommend this class.

The cooking class was for all of us a first. We loved the visit to the market and had so much fun preparing the different courses!

Plane was an excellent teacher and host for our workshop experience. What amazed me is how much I learnt (about different varieties of vegetables and fruits and how many miniature versions there are) and how beautiful the presentation was from the ingredients we would use to the final dish. The prep area is separate to the cooking stations and dining area which was great. You eat after every dish is done which is very nice. Plane made it fun as well with good humor and expertise.

excellent lesson arrangement excellent cooking teacher (her name is sth like pae) they managed us to cook yummy food even the only thing i could handle was microwave. if i am not leaving the next day, i would definitely joining another class the next day.

Our family of 4 (including 2 sons who are 14 and 11) really enjoyed our class led by Khun Ghi Ghi. The half day class, including market tour, was well paced and involved the right amount of prep. The prep which included some chopping and making curry paste wasn’t too hard for our sons and we enjoyed learning about the ingredients we were using. One group never arrived so our class was small with just our family plus two other individuals. We enjoyed the attention and the hospitality shown to our family, especially towards our kids. The food we made was delicious and now I want to make it at home. Bring some extra bahts for shopping downstairs after the class. There is not a lot to buy but there are a few items that may be of interest. The only negative part of the experience was I couldn’t eat dinner that night because I was so full from all the food that we ate during our class; I guess that speaks to how good the food was and how much we learned. The class is definitely a highlight from our time in Bangkok!

Our Thai cooking class was so much fun. We made five different dishes, and they were all fairly simple and very delicious! It was fun to learn about Thai ingredients and recipes and participate in the process of making them. Our teacher was so friendly, funny, and helpful. Definitely recommend if you are ever in Bangkok!

Khun Yai and her team were very organized, from the morning market visit where she explained how to select the different ingredients to the hands-on prep and cooking experience during the class. The cooking school was also very homey with different rooms for prep, wok cooking and dining. Khun Yai is not only a very experienced cook but a good communicator. Enjoyed the 5 dishes we learned to cook, and the bonus was a cookbook on the basic of Thai cooking.

I loved everything. The chef, the place, the menu, organization. If I will go the Bangkok again, I will join the class again. Absolutely recommend!

I was really curious about Thai cuisine from... 'the kitchen' side and I absolutely loved it. I learnt few kitchen skills as well and I am absolutely surprised that we really didn't even have to use a single powder spice to make dishes so tasty and full of flavor!

It was a fun and excellent class. We had so much fun cooking, especially the pad thai.

Our instructor was fun, energetic, accommodating of vegan needs, an excellent teacher and spoke great English. We had fun and learned a ton over the three hours. Highly recommended!

I would love to take another course to continue learning! We did it with three friends from Argentina who are living in Bangkok. How nice to continue learning more about the culture, the flavors, and the tastes of their dishes!

That was one of the greatest experiences during our stay in Bangkok. We had classes with Mrs. Chi Chi, a truly magical, charismatic, and charming person. We had so much fun! And the food was THE BEST!!!

I am so happy to find this cooking class on Cookly, and I would love to do it again the next time I come back to Thailand. I learned a lot in 4 hours and had fun cooking what was taught in the kitchen. We were introduced to the many lovely herbs used in Thai cooking. Now, I know the difference between each and their smell because the teacher let us handle, smell, break, & slice them - and cook them as well. Teacher Yai was so good because she taught us the complicated process in simple steps that even a first-time cook can do. So amazing indeed! Even I (who is a food enthusiast who knows my way in the kitchen) was amazed at myself after I was able to cook Chicken In Red Curry from scratch! Frankly, I booked this class in Silom because it is easy to find. But after the experience, I realized that I found a treasure full of wonderful things to experience one to last me for many years. So come, try this class, and experience it for yourself. Plus you get to explore a market and then ride a tuk-tuk too.

I enjoyed everything about this cooking class. Everything about the venue & class had an aesthetic & rustic ambiance. I couldn't resist but take photos of the classroom & the ingredients that were prepared & laid out beautifully on the tables. We were divided into smaller groups, and our group was comprised of 5 other attendees, which was small enough & it gave the instructor space & time to answer our questions & teach us the correct methods. We cooked 6 recipes with a focus on pad thai, tom yum, and green curry. We also participated in preparing the som tam and learned the Thai way to make mango sticky rice. I personally think the pad thai & the tom yum we made in the class were two of the best ones I had during my trip to Bangkok. All ingredients used were premium (veggies all looked so fresh)! The instructor was very friendly & patient, and we left with a copy of the cookbook & a special Thai gift.

Very interesting and fun cooking school !

For my first cooking class, it was a very fun and engaging experience! Our teacher showed us different herbs, spices and ingredients in Thai cuisine. It was very hands on and I feel like I improved my cooking and am excited to try out the recipes when back home. It was also simple for the school to accommodate my vegan diet!

The cooking class is highly recommended when visiting Bangkok! During the class, everyone made 5 dishes (coconut milk soup, papaya salad, red curry, pad thai and mango sticky rice). They can adjust to your dietary needs as well. The instructor was energetic, funny and knowledgeable. Not only did I learn how to make 5 delicious dishes, I learned some cooking tips.

Attentive, fun teacher!

We had a traditional thai cooking class yesterday. From the beggining until the end everything was perfect. The chef took us to the market first, which was a nice experience. After we took a tuk tuk trip to our school which was so instagrammy. There were 5 courses which we really liked! Small advice: come hungry, as this was a lot of food. :)

Everything was perfect the Food, our chef, the place and the way is organized im very happy i wanna do another one soon!!!

The mini tour of the market was nice... learning about the difference between the shrimp and chickens. But the class was done so well! The beautiful presentation of ingredients and the constant flow from class room to cooking...it was great! And our instructor Ju...she was funny but had so much great information too! We would recommend a class with Silom to everyone!

Me and my wife attended this class on a vacation and it was fantastic. It was a lot of fun to walk around the local markets, try our hand at cooking, while enjoying our company. Would definitely recommend as a fun thing to try. The food turned out great too

Das Personal und die Kochlehrerin waren sehr freundlich. Wir konnten sehr viel über die einzelnen Zutaten und traditionellen Gerichte lernen. Die zubereiteten Gerichte haben sehr lecker geschmeckt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder einen Kochkurs bei silom buchen.

Overall a really fun morning! Great food, lovely atmosphere, easy and accessible for all. Combination of watching demonstrations and some simple instructions to follow. I really enjoyed the short stroll to the market - would have loved to spend more time there. You eat each dish as you make it so it’s essentially a whole morning of eating! Great way to spend a few hours in Bangkok

An ideal introduction to Thai food that helped greatly during the rest of our stay

Wir besuchten den Kochkurs bereits zum zweiten mal. Es ist eine super Gelegenheit einen Einblick in die Thailändische Kochkunst zu erhalten. Der Kurs ist super aufgebaut und macht riesig Spaß. Es wird sehr auf Hygiene geachtet, mir regelmäßigen Händewaschen. Die 5 Gänge werden selber unter klasse Anleitung zubereitet und danach verspeist. Es wird viel gelacht und es entsteht eine tolle Gruppen Dynamik. Wir würden den Kurs jederzeit wieder machen und können es nur empfehlen. Auch eine perfekte Beschäftigung für Regentage.

Exceeded expectations and was the best thing we have done in Bangkok. Toom our teacher has an infectious enthusiasm and a great sense of humour and made the class both a lot of fun and informative. The visit to the market was a great chance to find out what some of the unknown veg etc are and also tips on choosing the best produce. There were only 7 in our class which was great and everything was beautifully presented. Quite a bit of prep had been done for us so though we cooked all the dishes some of the hard work has been done for us. Everything we cooked tasted delicious and the recipe book we were given at the end will be much used. Recommended .

I did not expect so much fun while learning everything I didn't know about Thai dish ingredients and preparations. Everything was extremely well organized and our culinary certified instructor, Ming, was so entertaining in her presentation. I did realize how much I learned and retained until the next day. I am still laughing at the video that Ming took for me preparing the red chili paste with a mortar and pestle. Her video directing skills are amazing and gave me a video to laugh at for years to come. I now have a new standard of what good Thai food should taste like.

I had a great time at the cooking school. I learned a lot about the ingredients and the food itself. Next time I'm in BKK, I'll join again for sure. Keep going like this

The cooking class was great-- amazing food, great teacher, fun experience, very affordable! The market tour was not as informative as expected but still enjoyable. Also the time given via Cookly was different than the actual start time so double-check with the specific location you are going to. Luckily for us, since we missed the market tour due to the miscommunication, they rescheduled for free which was nice.

I've done cooking classes in multiple countries and this hands down is best one I've done. Setup was great and our host Joo was awesome. Pace of the class was perfect; I never felt overwhelmed or struggling to keep up. The early morning market shopping was fun and nice way to meet locals and see where they shop. The recipes we cooked were perfect amounts and just what any Thai food lover wants to learn. Overall highly recommend this class.

Really enjoyed our class. We started with a market tour to learn how to select the best ingredients. The course was the right mix of pre-prepped food to move the course along, and attendee-led prep work to give us a hand in the making of the dishes. Would definitely take another class from Silom Thai again!

Great food and a fun instructor

Chef Ming crafted a really fun class. She made sure we felt comfortable by making jokes along the way and taking plenty of photos. By the end of the class, you'll feel accomplished and excited to make these dishes to your loved ones. One big issue, the market your starts at 9am, not 9:30 as this site suggest. Plan accordingly so you don't miss itike we did.

It was a fun and great experience! Apart from learning how to cook thai dishes, they also did proper sharing on Thailand's unique ingredients. Love it and will definitely recommend to friends.

I had the possibility to cook for real 5 Thai courses and understand the different ingredients The only negative point is that You do not eat all the dishes together at the end of the class but one by one .. so for me as European waging at 10/11 am lunch dishes was not possible. In any case the teacher was nice and packed all the food for me so I could eat it later

사실 가격이 너무 저렴하고 다른 클래스에 비해 상업적인 느낌이어서 큰 기대를 하지 않았는데 3시간정도의 시간동안 5가지의 음식과 사용되는 재료에 대한 설명도 선생님께서 아주 유쾌하게 설명해주셔서 너무 재미있었습니다! 아쉽게 시장투어는 진행하지 못했지만 아주 잠깐의 툭툭 이동 서비스와 쿠킹클래스 수업 마지막으로 레시피북과 선물까지 준비해주셔서 이분들이 남는게 있는건가...기부를하는게 아닌가...라는 생각이 들정도였어요! 함께한 친구들도 모두 대만족이었습니다!

Our instructor was great - funny, engaging, and helpful. She clearly does this class a lot but did not seem tired of it. Our class was very international and they easily made modifications for both vegetarians and return students that didn't alter the flow at all. The school itself is super cute and the A/C is heavenly. I went alone and was lucky enough to meet another solo traveler - we used Google translate to communicate during class and had an awesome time! I would definitely return. The only caveat is that I booked the afternoon class partially because of the market tour, but we didn't do one. It may have been because it was Sunday or because the morning class bought everything they needed, but if that really matters to you I'd suggest booking the first AM class or calling / emailing the school to be sure you get to go. In the end, we didn't miss it - we got a tour of the market basket from the comfort of our stools!

So funny! You really learn thing about Thai cooking and ingredients They are very helpful! If you have been there before they let you choose different courses than the rest of the team. I did the evening course twice in two days👩‍🍳

excellent in all small details

I would recommend anyone Silom Thai School when they visit Bangkok. We went to a local market, then we got started cooking. Joon explained all ingredients used in the thai Kitchen. All dishes were made easily and i will confident enough to actually re-cook those dishes alone at home. Which indeed ive actually made Sticky rice myself :-)

Cooking class in Thailand is a MUST!! I absolutely loved all the dishes we cooked, and the organization of the whole experience as well. Great way to spend a few hours in Bangkok!

This class was one of the highlights from my trip around Thailand. It was cool to start off going to the market prior to cooking. Do not eat breakfast or lunch prior to your class as you will eat a lot there!

Thoroughly enjoyed our class. Joo was great at giving instructions and making the class fun. All of the dishes were really tasty and I feel confident I could recreate them at home. A fantastic experience! The recipe book is a really nice touch and has useful information on alternative ingredients incase some of the more Thai bits aren’t available.

Chin was our tutor for the class. She was very professional with strong knowledge in Thai cuisine and the ingredients. She was also very funny throughout the class to make cooking extra interesting. The timing and logistics of the course is perfect. There were plenty of food and laughters. I would recommend all my friends to join the class for some cultural touch.

The cooking class was one of our best experiences in Thailand. Our teacher Gee was just so adorable and funny! Everything was so well prepared and the cooking/ diningarea was really lovely. We enjoyed our time and the food! Would definitely recommend it!

Our Teacher, Toom. She was amazing, entertaining, jovial and was very well able to explain the dishes. We not only learn about the ingredients, but also methodology behind cooking process. In the class, you can easily tell who has been in the kitchen and who hasn't. We met people from Korea. They were keen to share their story of travel with us.

We spend a great morning, visiting the local market and then having fun cooking all the different Thai dishes. Silom Thai Cooking School is very well decorated and we felt like cooking at home. I loved every second. From the moment w walked in we felt at home. The trip to the market, smelling all the fresh ingredients, lovely! Gee helped us prepare and cook all the best Thai dishes and then treated us to sticky rice mango which was DIVINE...

We had a great class with some friends visiting from the US. There were 6 of us total, and Too did a wonderful job showing us the market and helping us prepare amazing meals. I have a gluten allergy and they provided accommodations without any issues. I did bring my own gf fish, soy, and oyster sauce in case; however, their fish sauce was safe and that was the only sauce we used for our class. I really enjoyed the market tour. I have done other cooking classes with market tour and found that this one was just the right amount for a cooking class. It's not a very large market, but your cook takes you around and tells you about the spices and ingredients used in Thai cooking without feeling overwhelmed or lost. 100% recommend and I will be going back.

The whole afternoon was full of wonderful recipes, lots of knowledge of the ingredients , lots of humor, great stories and a fun atmosphere to engage with the other students. I wanted to learn some basic dishes. We met and went to the local market. We picked up all the ingredients we needed for the class. I learned how to prepare and cook Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, and Green Chicken Curry. Our instructor, Chin, was great. She was very knowledgeable and made the class fun.

I would definitely recommend this class. The teacher was welcoming, fun, and informative. I love interactive activities and food so this was a 10/10 experience!

Nous avons passé une excellente après midi, avons été au marché puis avons cuisiné nos 5 plats que nous avons dégusté au fur et à mesure, c'était vraiment divin. Le tout dans un très joli décor, très propre et climatisé. Les cours sont très faciles et les recettes sont simplissimes à faire (le tout est de retrouver les bons ingrédients une fois rentré au pays ;) ) Merci encore pour ce moment exceptionnel qui restera gravé dans nos souvenirs.

This was absolutely amazing! Our teacher Joo had a lot of energy and made us all feel like amazing chefs. The food was incredible and cooking it made it that much better. I can’t wait to try these Thai dishes when I get home.

This class is also good for beginners, they already prepared many ingredients, but I prefer cut them myself though. Our chef Joo is really funny! The dishes we made are incredibly delicious!

We loved the entire experience, from the Tuk Tuk to the market, to the great space we used to prepare, cook and eat our dishes. And all this, with our instructor Rung. I would recommend this cooking class to everyone!

The Silom Cooking School has nice facilities and organizes the classes very well. Although the group was over 8 participants, it felt very personal. I would definitely return for other classes.

It was a great class! We learned so much at the market tour and Peng was so funny! We got to make 5 dishes and eat them right after we make each one. This was great as other cooking classes I’ve gone to, we would just eat everything at the end but would be starving while making the food. The cooking school was super clean and offered water. The set up for the school was very organized - we got the whole floor to us. One room was the room where it had a section for us to eat and another side where we would prep the food. There is a bathroom and then another room just to cook. The best cooking class I have taken!

I really appreciate every second of the cooking class, from when Chin welcomed us with her insatiable smile taking us around the local market to learn about the Thai food to when she indroduced us to all the new playground of ingredients that were proposed for the lesson, included spice. If I am going to pop around Bangkok again I will for sure enjoy another lesson.

Good size class, fun market visit, quality food choices used. Choices of meal also good - class was easy to take part in and was fun eating the meals as we went. Take home recipe book excellent with many more recipes than covered in class. Highly recommend this cooking school - good quality and very good value.

Beautiful location! The teacher spoke very good English! 3 dishes 100% self-made, 1 dish made in groups & 1 dish prepared by the teacher (mango sticky rice). Very tasty food! Short instruction at the market and you get a free cookbook for yourself and at a very good price.

It's one of the valuable experience during my Thailand trip. Even though I am Korean, it was easy to understand the teacher's class. And the cooking course was so funny and the food was so delicious.

Easy and fun, friendly and funny instructor, very good English and could answer questions. A nice vacation class, intro level. The price is right for a quick overview of a few basics. Near the Chong Nonsi train stop, easy walk, but ask someone right away where is Decho road, so that you go in the right direction.

We had a nice quick tour of the marketplace where we got to familiarise ourselves with the ingredients that we would be using. The actual groceries were prepared for us so we didn’t waste any time buying the necessary ingredients. We then headed to the kitchens where we spent the next 4 hours making 5 incredibly delicious dishes of pad thai, tom yum, chicken larb, green curry, and mango sticky rice. We got to chop and prepare each meal's ingredients and then cook them over a wok before sitting down to eat our creations fresh and hot. The chef was amazing! The food was so authentic tasting and we each got a recipe book to take home at the end. Just be wary that the kitchen does get a bit crowded and hot and spicy when there are 10 woks frying off all at once in a small confined area!

Really had fun taking this class. I did the 6 pm class. I love Thai food. The food we cooked was authentic and our teacher explained things well. Lots of food and had to take some of mine back home. I am vegan and she easily accommodated me by providing substitute ingredients!

My fiance and I really enjoyed the cooking class. They used Thai traditional method of cooking which was amazing. Their recipes were really good and we used only fresh ingredients which made our dishes way more delicious and enjoyable. The teacher was very friendly and had a funny sense of humour. Overall it was a very nice experience, time and money well spent! I highly recommend this cooking class:)

The course was very well organised and it was made easy for everyone regardless of experience. The only downside was that the “market tour” wasn’t really a tour, rather a quick intro to various vegetables and spices. This may have been due to the market being closed or time constraints. It was definitely a good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone who like cooking.

The instructor was lovely and funny! The menu was amazing and perfect to my likings. I really enjoyed the class that the 3hour went pass so fast. The dynamic of learning cooking and eating is great! The school decoration and instalation are excellent! Can't wait to be back soon.

I really like this tour! The teacher was interactive, funny, and easy going. She also gives some tips about do's and don'ts in cooking specific menu. The price is cheaper compared to other 'branded' cooking school and they give you the whole recipe at the end of the cooking session. You should try! it's worth it.

The market tour isn’t super in depth, but the recipes, instructor, and overall experience more than makes up for it! The staff does a fabulous job prepping each of the courses making for a fun and easy cooking experience. The instructor was super friendly and very informative - she made the class for sure! Above everything else - they were SO accommodating. My husband has celiac and must eat gluten free - they ensured all dishes would be absolutely gluten free for him.

I never thought i could be able to cook a dish apart from Filipino food. Going to the local market and speaking with Thai natives, taught me a lot about culture and the importance of knowing your spices than just going to the groceries and picking one. The staff and chef were so warm and they gave us complimentary drinks upon arrival. At the end of my day, i was able to learn new dishes that i would definitely share with my family back home.

Enjoyed our class, learned tips on how to buy shrimp and veggies. All dishes we cooked tasted great and better than if you buy it. Chef gigi was a good teacher and funny too. The organizers of class were also very accommodating. We had last minute changes in our schedule due to our flight but no problem on their end. Met other tourists, overall it was one of the best exp in Thailand.

This was actually my second time to join the class. The first one was about 10 years ago, at that time, I had a great time, so I joined again, and it was an even more enjoyable experience this time. The tour was really well prepared, and the chef was a really cute girl, who spoke an excellent English. The food was so amazing, full of flavor and so easy. I would definitely recommend it to others, and I would love to join another course again, and try different dishes.

Our Teacher/Guide "Joo" was friendly, charming and fun. The Tour started with quick trip to the markets across the road then back to school shoes off then start to cook. You cook your own individual portion of each dish. Wear loose clothing as there's a lot of food to get through 😊

We originally signed up for the afternoon class but due to limited spots got pushed to the evening class. We were a little bummed because we thought we’d miss out on a lot from the market trip but the evening class was more than enough. We still had 5 amazing meals during the 3 hour time slot :) Vertee was the best teacher we could ask for! She was incredibly knowledgeable and a delight to learn from. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone who wants an immersive cultural experience and to eat some tasty food and meet some awesome people.

It was my second class and I enjoyed it. Preparations were made in advance, so food was easy. I would like to come back the third time if I visit next time. There is a desire if the variety of food will vary.

Lots of colors, lots of Thai ingredient were very pretty and interesting. We cooked the most popular Thai dishes and all the food we cooked were really yummy. (Thinking about it makes my mouth watery!) Cooking in Bangkok weather was just like sauna but downstairs was like very cold with A/C. Great experience and I would totally recommend.

Chin was my instructor and she was energetic and knowledgeable. She made the best of the market time despite it down pouring rain at the time of our visit. We were a group of 10 people. Hands on learning making your own dishes on the wok was fun! Loved the dishes we made all tasted incredible and loved the cook book to take home.

We had a group of 12 cooking class. First, we visited the market to buy some of the ingredients. Then, we took tuk tuks to the school. Everything was well prepared. We cooked 5 meals- typical thai food- Tom Yum, mango sticky rice, green curry, papaya salad. All fantastic:). The staff is great. The kitchen is ok.

My wife and I had a wonderful time cooking and learning about Thai cuisine and ingredients. The class was well organized and we cooked some beautiful and yummy pad Thai, papaya salad, Tom yum and sticky rice with mango.

What a fantastic experience - as students you are invited to participate in all of the chopping, cutting, grinding and cooking of your dish. It's a very hands on, informative and interesting experience - as well as being very entertaining and delicious. A five course meal (some of the best food we have had) and a lesson included = excellent value!

The market visit was a bit different then what I would have expected. You don’t go shopping for all the items but they have it ready for you and give you a lot of information about the products - Interesting! And not too long. The cooking is really fun and educational. The dishes are delicious. You go home with a full stomach and a recipe book 😁

We enjoyed the cooking class very much. We have used Silom Cooking School three times now with different sets of friends we are traveling with. Everything is very well organized from the meeting point to the food prep. The food we made was easy! The chef was easy to understand and to follow instructions. She was very entertaining. We got to make all the food ourselves and eat what we made. Delicious! Be prepared to sit on the ground though to prep. It was little hard on my 6’3” husband. :) Overall we loved our experience.

Our tour guide J was so hilarious and very informative. He gave us so much helpful information of the Thai food and ingredients. We had such an excellent guide, I have already recommended this class to several friends travelling to Bangkok in the next few months. So grateful to learn how to make food that I can recreate back home. My husband and I already made Tom Yum soup at home using our Silom cook book from this class!

The cooking instructor was very professional and funny. We had a lot of fun in learning the cooking culture of Thai and making fives traditional and delicious Thai dishes. The cooking class arrangement was well planned that the food amount of each dish is just enough and would not make us feel so full. Also, we could enjoy each dish one by one right after cooking which was very efficient and relaxing.

Instructor/Ken was passionate about teaching the class and sharing his knowledge. He was very attentive to keep the group motivated and at the same time he was making sure all of us (12pp) were on the same page through all of the 5 dishes that we learned. Food was absolutely delicious!!!! Pickup time was prompt and shopping at the market for the ingredients was a valued lesson by itself. The place was super clean, very well organized and charming. I would recomend this experience for everyone. Our Chef was really funny spoke good English. The food was the best (much better than most restaurants), so if I had another day in Bangkok I would go back just to have another great meal. It is not a demanding class (no cooking skills needed) and a lot of fun.

Great way to learn cooking Thai food using traditional methods in a hands-on class. Kudos to our teacher, she was very good in explaining everything, from the ingredients, how it should be prepared down to how it should be cooked. I will definitely take a class again when I get a chance.

Absolutely love this cooking class. The teacher with the name Yai was very good. She taught everyone so patiently. Indeed the food I cooked was much better than the thai food I eat in my own country and some restaurant in Bangkok!! The best part is there is a cooking recipe book after you finished the class. Highly recommended to anyone who wish to learn cooking thai food. By the way its relatively cheaper than a lot of other classes.

I took this class on my last day in Bangkok and I am so glad I did! It was a great way to learn a bit more about Thai culture and our teacher was great! Being from the US - many of the ingredients we were using are not available at a regular supermarket - and our teacher took the time to explain each ingredient and have us smell them to familiarize ourselves with the ingredients before cooking. The best part was not only did we get recipes for what we cooked in the class, we received a recipe book which had all of the recipes we cooked and more!

I joined afternoon class starting 1:40pm. We didn’t get market tour as described online. What we were told that market finishes early. We just dropped by one shop and teacher gave us some information about the vegetables which we are going to use for cooking. If I knew that, I would obviously have joined morning class. I will recommned morning class to feel the atmosphere of the market and proper tour. Other than that, the course went well. Easy to follow and neat environment. Better to be there with an empty stomach as you are going to eat like 4 course dishes. Once you make each dish you will get to try straightaway. Cook-eat-cook-eat. Really great taste compared with Thai restaurant as we have experience overseas. I am Thai cusine lover! Much better taste as you can adjust some seasoning like less salty and sweet as well. Location could be a bit tricky on the way home.

Excellent class & introduction to Thai food. Ms. Chin was an entertaining & knowledgeable teacher and chef. I enjoyed the time with my nephew & fellow classmates. The food was so delicious. I hope we can prepare it again at home with similar results. Thank you!

Jay, our host, had a bright personality, fantastic food knowledge, and ensured we all had fun. The menu we had included the Thai classics and a couple others that would be quite common. The setup was fantastic. We all bounced back and forth between our own prep space, cooking station and eating area. The experience was well organized, and certainly full of useful insights and adapted to the multi-cultural environment. Most of all, the recipes yielded very tasty food that was fun to cook.

Maybe miss out the "market" bit, which is not open in the afternoon, and have a bit more time to do more of the preparation. But, overall very good.

Great cooking class we joined as a family. Not too complicated. The market visit was more a walk through the neighborhood but the explanation of the ingredients was excellent, especially the comparison to the western versions of the same. Location was great. Smooth run operation with main chef and two assistants to set up each course. Highly recommend this course. Staff spoke several languages including fluent English.

Our teacher had a lot of knowledge, was super friendly and funny. All the recipes were easily to follow. The location had a great atmosphere and the dishes were delicious. I was hoping to learn more about cooking Thai food and to be able to ask questions about this. I was not disappointed.

The class was lovely, the place is so cute and welcoming, and the teachers are really nice. I would only suggest enriching the market experience since it is too short and there is not too much interaction with the vendors. Besides that everything is amazing! definitely would do it again!

The class was very fun and i learned so much. Would definitely recommend learning about Thai food and culture with this cooking class. They did well to accommodate for a seafood allergy in my group as well!

I really liked how she showed us the traditional Thai way to make the dishes but also explained how to make it at home. Every dish we prepared was amazing.

My friend and I had a great time. Staff were amazing and the way it was run was really good (food prep in circle, cooking section and then eating at tables) as it kept it interesting. Setting was really pretty too and I found the information/cooking tutorial really easy to follow. The cookbook to take home is so good!

Our teacher was kind, explained very well. Food was perfectly well explained and the cooking class was in a very charming place.

Very exciting class as I got to learn how to cook thai food. I love thai food and surely would practice them when I got back home. Managed to attend 2 sessions (morning and evening)& both instructors were friendly and lively. Would recommend this experience to whoever who visit Bangkok..

The cooking class absolutely fantastic. Our teacher was funny and interacted with everyone. It is very hands-on and you get to eat 5 different dishes - don't eat before-hand! Probably our favourite meals in Bangkok so far!

The market tour was great, despite that all of the food was picked out ahead of time. All of the preparation and playing was creative and well thought out. Would have loved to participate a bit more in the actual prep work, but the trade off being that we got to make 5 dishes instead of two was worth it. Overall, a great experience and would recommend. Also bonus points in that the facility was clean, sanitary and AC cooled.

I've been living in Bangkok for a couple of months now and this cooking class was my personal highlight of living here. It was so well organized, relaxing, and informative! Joo did a great job filling the room with laughter and teaching us everything we wanted to know about our favorite Thai dishes. A must do in Bangkok!

First to experience the local market by Tuk-tuk. Then we were told about different fresh herb ingredients. Then we went to the kitchen base. The cooking part was really fun and informative, everyone prepared and cooked four differnet dishes and one mango sticky rice. The Taste of the Food was absolutely wonderful. We really liked our cooking class and the market tour. It was great to learn, cook and eat our own Thai dishes. The dishes were really good and better than in a lot of restaurants around town. Oat was our guide/teacher and we was really clear and explain everything. We did our lesson with our baby and he was really nice with her and helped us with her or with our dishes. There were 9 of us in this class from all over the world. We started off with a local market tour. The instructor introduced to us the different kind of ingredients for making the different dishes. Didn't know there are so many different type of herbs, spices, egg plants, chillies etc. We get to experience travelling on a tuk tuk to the cooking school which is actually a beautiful decorated house. Within the house there are many pots of herbs and plants. The instructor taught us how to cut the ingredients and what are the must have ingredients to the different type of dishes. She taught us how to decorate all plates and dishes to look nice and expensive..like the 5 star hotel standard. The dishes that we cooked tasted delicious. At the end of the class, we were all given a pair of chopsticks as souvenir and also a recipe book. We had lots of fun and truly enjoyed the class! I would not hesitate to recommend my friends to join.

we had so much fun in the cooking class at silom cooking school. the teacher Joo was very nice and interesting. she explained everything well in details. this was a good experience for us to have a team building activities during the trip.

Our teacher Kit was very knowledgable with all the ingredients and gives very clear, easy to understand instructions! We felt the market tour was a little redudant as the explanation could be done in the cooking class instead. Other than that, we had so much fun chopping up the ingredients and cooking (and eating!) our own food. Environment was very cosy for a class of 10. 2 thumbs up! Highly Recommend!!

Entertaining Master Chef, makes all seem like they're easy peasy. Eating the food one by one right after you make them was such a delight - you don't have to wait until you make all the 5 dishes. No waste of time so even good for short-tempered people! Very enjoyable!

The teacher was charming and very helpful. The space was delightful and the prep very organized and the class was fabulous because we actually learned how to make our favorite dishes and enjoy them! It was by far our best meal in Thailand!

Both myself and my wife attended. We came back home where we already grow a few ingredients. Called by Springvale in Melbourne and got everything we needed and cheap too. They have a very large Vietnamese community there. Jay was a wonderful and very funny teacher. We loved the market experience that helped us see what we needed at the market in Melbourne. We have cooked all our dishes and will do more. We cooked for friends who also love Thai food last night. Thank you very much for a wonderful cooking class and approach.

Uns hat der Kochkurs sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Es war interessant auf dem Markt einkaufen zu gehen und alle Zutaten erklärt zu bekommen. Wir hatten einen sehr netten Kochlehrer, mit dem es richtig lustig war. Es wurde immer alles super erklärt und das Essen war richtig lecker. Ich freue mich schon, die Gerichte zu Hause auszuprobieren.

Oat our teacher was great, he knows how to manage a large group of different nationalities, ages and attention spans! The school clearly has a well worked format which allows for everyone to follow the menus and actually make tasty food. My only grumble would be that we didn't do all of the prep, and the class finished well before 1 so we had the time. Still very good value for money though.

I enjoyed that the instructor taught us about the ingredients used in Thailand - and how they compared to their American/Western relatives. The instructor seemed very knowledgeable and, impressively, could name ingredients in five or so different languages.

the class was great, teacher chin was funny and very supportive, meals were amazing (because i cooked them). the only thing ill change is to do it in the morning. my class was in the afternoon and it was "sauna hot" in the kitchen.

The kitchen vas very cute, and our teacher Chin was lovely. I took the class with a visit at the market, but that part was more like a presentation of the thaï ingrédients than shopping. It was fun anyway. All the meals were delicious and the recipes book is a better souvenir than a Chang T-shirt...!

I took a class alone But Teacher was really kind and The teacher name is Chin. She can speak english very well but a little quick.. I can take part in class only weekend but Menu is so simillar I think menu change periodically

Had a really great time at the cooking class, which although got off to a bumpy start (wrong location on maps.me, which meant we missed the market tour. Then at the office we were then told that we had to go to a different location than the one we were told and booked for... taken by tuktuk there which they paid for) it was a really great and fun class! All the dishes were extremely tasty, our host was funny and very informative. I feel able to cook these dishes back at home, with help of the free cook book they provided! We had lots of fun, given water and so much food to eat! Would defiantly do again!

Learnt the basic of Thai cuisine, and prepared (and ate) a delicious Pad Thai, with other 4 well explained dishes.

Did my class with Joo, she was great! Everything was organized, simple and yummy. Excited to make Pad Thai at home! But - they actually don’t do shopping in the market, it was a little pointless going because they didn’t buy anything. Market was small - but I guess it was nice if you have never seen one.

The class was perfectly organized and the breaks to eat the different plates we prepared were very well adjusted. Our chef Oat has a nice sense of humor a guides us through the recipes with a smile in our face. If you like Thai food and you want to learn in a nice and beautiful stage this is the place to come.

The tutor is very funny and interesting. But still have something can be improve because from the meeting point to the local market we need to take a Tuk Tuk to there but it can carry 3 person but end up 4 of student share one. For the western visitor may be too difficult to fit in. Our class is 11 people class and i think 8 people in class is more reasonable. I will give 5 star if they can improve this.

The class was better then anticipated. I learned so much on Thai cooking in such a short time. The meals I prepared were amazing, tasted better then a meal in a restaurant. Chin, the instructor, guided us through in a professional manner and is highly recommended. I am confidant that when I return home, I will be in high demand for cooking authentic Thai food.

The teacher, a 23 old Thai girl, was really friendly and excited about the teaching. Also, her English was very good. Even though the market shopping was a bit disappointing because we didn't buy the ingredients on our own, it was still interesting because we got some explanations of typical Thai ingredients. The class itself took place in a very homy and cute little house and the group is not bigger than 8-10 people. Everything is explained very well. In the end we got a cooking book to remember what we've learned. We would definetely recommend it :-)

The school environment is really good and well-decorated. I love how they separate the classroom from the kitchen. You learn how to prep the ingredients in the classroom first before moving to the kitchen to cook. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. We had a great time there!

My boyfriend and me are big fans of cooking and fell in love with thai food as soon as we started our vacation and tasted Pai thai, Tom Yum Goong. My favorite dessert should be mango sticky rice. I have experienced numerous cooking classes, and the experience offered by Silom Cooking Class is up there on the scale of fun and flavour. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the venue. The instructor Oat had a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable and articulate about Thai food, creating a great vibe for everyone participating. The fresh produce and the flavours we created, I really enjoyed. Excellent.

It was the perfect balance of learning about Thai cooking and culture and eating some amazing Thai cuisine! We were impressed by the organization, set-up, atmosphere, and prices of Silom Thai Cooking Class! The teacher, Chin, was very knowledgeable about Thai ingredients and cooking methods, explained things clearly, had excellent English, and a delightful sense of humor. She even used Korean with more than half of the class who were native Korean speakers. I do not eat meat, and they were very accommodating about that and another student's shellfish allergy. The other students in the group seemed to really enjoy the experience as well.

I didn't know this but I found out after the session that the cooking classes there are actually using Halal ingredients since the owner and some staff are Muslims. We had an amazing time!! Started with local market tour, with a lady called Ayh (don’t know the spell) was fun and informative. She has a great character and made it very enjoyable. The class was ran by Goong, she brought everyone together. We were in 3 different pairs however it felt like a 1 group in the end as we got to know each other very well. Can’t think of any negatives at all, it was extremely fun but we also learned a lot about Thai flavors. Highly recommend this for any body no matter what level your cooking skills are :).

Tour in the market is not informative enough, too fast and very product is already prepared for the group . The same impression for the way things are being cooked in the school , you’re rushed through the process and time is very important. Al in all the knowledge you get is very basic , if that is what you want than it is very good. If more than the basic is sought, than this is not the place.

Wow, what a fabulous afternoon with Aey and the team at Silom Thai Cooking! It was my birthday and was really looking forward to the session as I love cooking and wanted to learn more about how to prepare authentic Thai cuisine. With over 1000 5 star reviews why would I bother leaving another? Well beyond the obvious there were a few things I noticed that I would like to point out. 1) Cleanliness. All the utensils, equipment pans etc were super clean 2) Like clockwork. Extremely well planned. No faffing about everyone knew exactly what they were supposed to be doing and when, with all the correct utensils, equipment, ingredients etc laid out at exactly the right time / stage. Between each section of the afternoon, two little cleaning up fairies appeared and tidied away / cleaned up after us and set up for the next section. 3) Super fresh. The ingredients were an absolute delight to work with, beautifully fresh and the presentation was outstanding. 4) A great feel (and this bit is *important*) The place is a happy one. Booking a trip / tour or experience abroad can sometimes feel like you are supporting a big organisation to take advantage of the little guy. This place is happy. Aey (our teacher) is talented and a great chef but also hilarious and she made it her business to connect with every member of our group. There was a great atmosphere between her and her two assistants, it felt like a happy team. We could hear raucous laughter from other parts of the building where others were having their sessions too and we had a giggle at their fun too. Thank you Aey and team for a great afternoon, I couldn't have had a better time on my birthday!

Fantastic food, great instructor, market tour was of a small market but interesting none the less. Some of the best food we have eaten in Thailand and one of the best cooking classes I have done in Asia. Highly recommended.

It’s just out of our expectations... good instructor, good arrangement, good deco and good food! We’ve made 4 traditional courses (tong yum gong, green curry, phad tai, mango sticky rice), cooking while eating is the best! We will remember that “MAKE IT LOOKS MORE EXPENSIVE!!” and thanks for the extra tiger prawn for me hehee.

Thoroughly enjoyed this class. Quick visit to the market before the short stroll to the cooking school. The information provided by Oat, was interesting and he also made it fun. We made tamarind sauce, coconut milk, green curry paste, Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Chicken Green Curry and watched Oat make a spicy chicken salad and finished off the class with mango and sticky coconut rice. The class is well worth it and I would highly recommend. (And if you are early as I was, you can have a quick foot massage at the massage place located next door to the meeting point - 150 THB for 30 mins!)

Great day with colorful, tasty food. It was my first cooking class, but not last. You are cooking one dish and then eat it (If you're full you can take it away). Don't forget to bring your camera, because camera eat first. You'll see how they prepare decorations to make photos great. The teacher will take also photo of you during the cooking :)

This class was recommended to us by a local friend in Bangkok and was a major highlight of our trip. After a week of traveling and eating as much as possible the meals we made here are still our favorites. Our teacher An was very knowledgeable and helpful, made learning the intricacies of Thai cooking so much fun. Definitely make time for this class!!

I have been on quite a few cooking classes around SEAsia and this was by far the most lively, entertaining, and fun cooking class. Each Student got to cook their own dishes and got to learn about each ingredient and how to make the dish truly "our own." The teacher, Jay, was hilarious, vibrant, and very knowledgable. He was also able to explain the ingredients in different languages for the different cooks. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!! :)

We spent our afternoon with Joo, at Silom cooking school, and it was the best thing we did in Bangkok! She had a great raport with the class, we laughed lots, and of course the food was amazing!! The school is very well organized, and everything flowed seamlessly from one dish to the next. We’ve already recommended this class to good friends heading to Bangkok as a must do! And we can’t wait to use the cook book once we get home!

The chef A is humorous, made the class very enjoyable.

Can give us more hands on on food preparation and more decision making on ingredient portion. Overall is very engaging and food turn out very well. Love it and will recommend to friends and family.

I went there alone, it wasn’t weird even though everyone was in couples but the class was really good. I did enjoy it also I’m not a big cooker, but trying to do things I haven’t done before and it was an amazing experience and I actually think I can cook this at home

Our instructor today is joo who has high enthusiasm at teaching, I am glad to have her in class. There are 10 classmates in this class.The classroom is a bit crowded. From market trip to end class , total is about 2hours. I think 3hurs will be proper. Generally speaking, this is a fun class, recommend.

Excellent trainer, explanations and location. However the afternoon market tour isn't really a tour as the market is closed (poor description) and more hands on cooking behind the workstations would be good (rather than just watching). Overall good value for money and lots of yummy fun!

Although I joined alone, I was able to enjoy it without hesitation because I was a small group. I am not very good at English, but my teacher explains it clearly and is kind. Cooking procedures are simple, and tasty! It was fun to know that if you have any materials, you can feel free to make Thai dishes.

It was great cooking and tasting three most famous Thai dishes in one afternoon. What makes it even better is that people joined in are quite diverse, so I could hear different points of view for Thai food. Overall, GREAT!!

The only comments would be: - The market tour. Not really a tour. We just walked up to a stall and the ingredients were explained. We could have done his in the class itself. - And towards the end you have to find your way back to your hotel. It would have been better to end at the starting point in my opinion. Other than that it's a good fun day out. The location was nice and the way it was done as well. You cool a dish, then eat. That repeats itself throughout the day.

This is our first visit to Thailand and we loved this class! We eat a lot of Thai food at home in Australia and enjoy home cooking. Although this class was a beginner level and involved cooking foods we are already familiar with, we still thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Our guide and chef Oat, was enthusiastic, informative and entertaining. He gave us great insight into the culture and cuisine, plus we loved his dry wit. The dishes we created were fresh and delicious (if we do say so ourselves!) We certainly shouldn't have filled on a large breakfast beforehand either! Thanks to the great recipe book we were provided with we will be recreating these dishes using our new skills for friends and family at home. We would recommend this class to anyone looking to do something a little different on their Bangkok adventure. Great value for money and good fun, even for those who are a little beyond beginner status.

I took this class on the next day I arrived in Bangkok. It was even my first time to visit Thailand so I was a bit nervous, but I could reach the meeting point with no problem and stuff and all classmates were so kind, I was relieved! As soon as we got together, we were heading to the market tour. It was amazing because the market was full of fantastic local ingredients and people with beautiful smiles! Also, the teacher explained every single ingredient for each dish so well with her entertainment. Now I know the reason why each dish tastes sweet, sour and spicy and how the color of Thai curry becomes yellow, red and green! After the tour, we went to the studio and cooked 4 items. While we were cooking, the teacher never even stopped entertaining! Also, she created the great atmosphere, so it was so comfortable to ask her a lot of questions! She is the great teacher!!! In addition, each dish was very tasty and very fulfilling amount! I'm so happy that I can cook 4 amazing Thai dishes now! I'll definitely cook for my friends and family when I get back to my country! This class is highly recommended!

Good for beginners who just want a different activity other Temples and Shopping. Better appreciation of what ingredients was used and make the less attractive coloured thai food more palatable.

This cooking class is for total novel and beginner. Don't expect you will be Iron Chef by the end of the class, but it's an experience filled with waves of laughter and cultural learning. Jay our instructor, is extremely talented with language and there's never a dull moment with him around. He is also very informative, and have lots of good stories to share!! Definitely, a Cooking Class to go for if you can spare some time in BKK!! Class located just 10 min taxi ride from Central World area

This class was quite interesting! You can learn how to choose the fresh materials and ingredients for Thai food, to prepare them in proper way for making them more delicious, and to cook them in right way. In preparation, mosr impressive one was to squeeze the shredded coconut and made fresh coconut milk by myself and used it for cooking. That really changed the taste better! And you can understand what is the real Thai food, with many class attendants from all over the world. I enjoyed the class very much and I will recommend to my friends.

Brilliant class, really enjoyed the whole class. Oat (?sp) our chef was awesome, great guy. Everything was made easy for you, if we did again, we'd maybe see if we could do a slightly more challenging class, as both confident cooks, but we still learnt loads and loved the session. The food we cooked was the best we've had so far in SE Asia!

Me and my friends took the Sunday afternoon class with this young male teacher (don't know his name tho). Everything was prepared in a very organized way and we all enjoyed grocery shopping, cooking, and sharing foods. The ambience of the cooking school was also very cozy and lovely as if I'm invited to a local friend's house. Strongly recommend

They truly have this down to an art. They not only manage to get us to the market to see the ingredients that we're going to be using, but we also made 5 different dishes - and made one of the ingredients for one of the dishes too - so we learned how to make 6 things in all. The food was delicious and the course was very reasonably priced. I had such a good experience in Bangkok that I though I would take a cooking class in Beijing and was shocked to discover that in Beijing a cooking class costs 3 to 4 times what this costs, so it is really very well and affordably priced. I highly recommend it!

From the meeting point, to the market tour, collecting our goods in a basket, through to cooking and eating - so much fun was had! High recommend the cooking school.

Everything is good and enjoyable. Except should have mentioned on the web-site when it is the local market cleaning day and there is no tour scheduled.

The confirmation e-mail stated a meeting point but do not mention this is necessary to meet there. I told the taxi driver of the school location. After arrived the school, they told us the team have been met at the point and go direct to the Market. I missed the Market tour. Although the school allow me to attend the market tour afternoon, I have other places to go and can't join. I think your confirmation letter should write in more details, better send reminder before the class and ask the class to contact the applicants directly. Besides of the above missing, I have fun in the class. Just found it too short. Kelvin Leung

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Silom Thai Cooking Class. It was very interactive and despite the various cooking experiences in the room, the teacher managed to keep it interesting and light hearted. The food was delicious and we all had fun being master chefs lol. Will happily do it again on my return to Thailand.

One of the TOP TWO things I did in my 10 days in Bangkok. I've had the pleasure to live work and eat accross the far east of asia over the past 7 years, and this was the first organized cooking class that i've had the pleasure to pay for. I've cooked with friends and watched skilled "uncles" behind a wok and asked questions, but this is without a doubt the best thing i've had the pleasure to pay for. Our instructors and their staff organized, explained and coached us in ways that you couldn't get from a book, and gave us hints and insight that you really would not get a feel for by watching hours of youtube videos: believe me, I have done so. When I come back to Bangkok, i'll be coming to class again.

The class was very organized with assistants preparing vegetables used in cooking which freed students to do more cooking in a limited time. The visit to the market was interesting and informative. Our group of three had a wonderful time, with fresh produce identification at markets, prepping, learning, cooking then eating what we made. Clean environment, fresh produce, The cooking teacher was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Learned a lot, and even given a wonderful recipe book to take home. Highly recommended!!!
