This is the perfect cooking class for those wanting to experience an authentic Yucatan dinner. You will learn all about local ingredients, cooking with the ripest, most flavorful and rarest of all. Ever heard of achiote, zapote, flor de calabaza? We will explain all about them and let you taste so much more.
Hands will be ready on chopping, slicing and mixing ingredients. This is the time to test the chef with questions like: "what is the secret of a good guacamole?" or "what is the difference between tequila and mezcal?", "can I have a Xtabentún?" Ai! We forgot the buy the chaya, no problem, we will harvest it fresh out of the garden.
While the Panuchos, Brazo de Reina, Cochinita Pibil, Guacamole, Sopa de Lima or any of the delicious dishes we prepare are ready, our very own Metzin will take some pictures of you doing all the hard work in the kitchen so you can take the memories back home.
We are sure you will be hungry as a delicious dinner will be served in the enchanting courtyard beside the pool.

Traditional Yucatan Dinner
The result of the cooking class will be a 3 course delicious dinner, with entrée, main dish and dessert. Dishes include classics of Yucatec cuisine, such as Panuchos, Brazo de Reina, Cochinita Pibil or Sopa de Lima. Guacamole is a must!
*Welcome drink (Jamaica-hibiscus flower iced tea, lime with chaya etc).
* 1 drink p/p with meal (white wine, craft beer, etc.)
Our experience will be held in Mérida Santiago Hotel Boutique. The hotel has a beautiful architecture and the interior is spectacular. You will cook in the professional kitchen and have dinner in one of the most splendid poolside courtyards in Mérida.
