My husband and I truly enjoyed the entire experience...from making pasta and tiramisu with Leonardo, to the wine pairing/tasting with Adriano, everything was perfect!
Amazing property with stunning views of the Tuscan hills from the kitchen and restaurant. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to do a cooking class in the region.
The wine, the food, the olive oil, and the view made for a wonderful experience! Definitely recommended.
The wine, the food, the olive oil, and the view, paired with the insightful descriptions.
The wine and accompaniments were delicious. We enjoyed it.
We loved the location! The cooking class was excellent Chef Irena was very knowledgeable and we came away with some handy hints as ‘seasoned cooks’. the wine tasting and food to follow was fantastic! We had a brilliant afternoon! Highly suggest
I can recommend this to everyone visiting Tuscany. When you plan your visit to San Gimignano you should book this wine tasting. You can park your car without having the trouble to find a space in the overcrowded parking areas. Enjoy the wine tasting, have an amazing view of the beautiful medieval town and have some delicious Tuscany bites to go with your wine. Before or after the wine tasting you can easily walk to the old town and enjoy the beautiful streets and buildings (the 14 towers) and feel like you’ve gone back in time several hundred years. During the wine tasting you will get nice little information of the process of the wine tasting in clear English. And it was no problem to have a vegetarian arrangement. Everything went really smooth and we’d even come back the next time to try some other wines. Apart from the experience, the communication through the cookly platform has also been very clear. Thank you so much for keeping us posted and giving other options while the booking was still pending. Glad we didn’t have to choose something else though, because it was exceptional!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Podere La Marronaia for this class and another tasting. Our class was just the two of us and so much fun. We made a simple but tasty dessert, several different bruschetta with fresh local produce and gnocchi. Susanna was fun and patient, the views stunning, the flavors fresh (olive oil, salt and pepper all you need with great produce) and we just enjoyed our time there. Enjoying the food with great wines (Super Toscano!) and just enjoying the views of San Gimignano while chatting with different members of the family was a beautiful way to spend an afternoon!
We spent a lovely afternoon at Podere La Marronaia! We accidentally signed up for two classes on the same day - this tasting and a cooking class - and had the joy of spending time with this family committed to wonderful products and celebrating their local flavors and traditions. The cheeses from a local farmer were amazing, the different bruschettas unique and tasty and the olive oils popped with flavor. Since we did two events we got to taste s lot of wines and they were all wonderful - plenty to match with a hot summer day or a crisp fall afternoon. All white looking over the vineyards toward the amazing San Gimignano!
Loved the location, this was our second Cookly class. This was more business like. The staff and owners we professional and personal, kind. The chef was knowledgeable and with the aid of Sophie our translator we were able to comprehend the lesson. Food was great and plentiful. Wished that we had been offered the left overs. The only problem was all we did was prep and eat, all the prepared dishes was whisked into a closed kitchen and cooked by staff. How do you cook pasta perfect, how long do you bake the 10 spoon cakes, how long do you saute the eggplant Bruschetta. We received souvenir aprons and the recipes, not the same as hands on cooking and getting questions answered. One reason was there was another class of 6 upstairs cooking and a wine tasting table of 12 about 4 feet from us. their main product is wine which you are given samples to try and at the end of the meal a sheet to rate, but really order their wine. It was enjoyable but it's a busy business. Cooking part is growing, but wine is the premium source of revenue.
We really had s good time and especially loved our meal at the end. We had a great group! I loved the chef snd our hostess was the best. Great explanations and patience with all of us. I would definitely recommend your class
My family spent a week in the Tuscan countryside. We were very active during our vacation and explored, experienced, and saw many great things. However, out of all of the experiences we had everyone's favorite, bar none, was this cooking class! Wonderful memories. Dont pass on this amazing experience. Special thanks to Sophia and Marta for everything!
First, we have to say that the hosts were absolutely excellent. They were friendly, professional and just super. We would highly recommend just to meet them. The experience was wonderfully organized and explained, the venue was stunning and the wine was amazing. With the accompanying explanations and the food we made was well matched. We had the best time and would return without a doubt.
