Ancient Hue

Located in the center of Vietnam, Hue was the capital city of Vietnam for approximately 150 years during feudal time. The royal lifestyle and customs have had a significant impact on the characteristics of Hue’s people as well as Hue’s cuisine. There are two forms of Hue cuisine: Hue traditional cuisine and Hue royal cuisine. But in general, both have similarities because the royal chefs also came from the folk. Besides the general characteristics of the Vietnamese cuisine, Hue cuisine also brings different characteristics.
