Vietnamese Home Cooking Class with a Food Stylist

Hello, my name is Kim Anh Doan, I am very passionate about photography and the culinary arts.

After years of working as a food magazine editor, stylist and creative lead for different F&B brands, in September 2017, I founded Away Studio - a creative workshop & kitchen studio based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In the heart of this dynamic and fast-paced metropolis, my classes are designed to help connect people and also find slow moments of peace.

We will cook together at my unique cooking studio with an open plan kitchen. As a food stylist, I have a collection of beautiful vintage Vietnamese ceramicwares which will be used for an authentic experience. We don't do market tours because of food safety concerns. I only buy ingredients from trusted farms and distributors. If you are interested in beautiful ceramics and Vietnamese handicraft, I can bring you to some of my favourite shops!

Join me and learn how to make authentic local home-cooked dishes in my lovely kitchen and be introduced to Vietnamese dining etiquette and customs!

Menu

Option 1: Vietnamese spring roll making class

• Fresh summer rolls with tiger prawns
• Fried spring rolls
• Tea and fresh fruits

Option 2: Vietnamese home cooking class

• Stewed fish or Chicken braised with lemongrass and ginger 
• Seasonal vegetable broth 
• Vegetable sauté
• White rice 
• Tea and fresh fruits

Jadwal

• 4:00 pm: Meet at our lovely kitchen studio, tea is served
• 4:15 pm: Cooking and tasting 
• 6:30 pm: Enjoy dinner together 
• 7:00 pm: Class ends
