Highway4 Cooking Class: a Vietnamese Culinary Experience

Get a hands-on experience of Vietnamese cuisine and a solid introduction to Hanoi's culinary culture in our half-day cooking program, which includes exploring a local market by cyclo-tour. 

You will cook 4 dishes of your choice from our menu (vegetarians are welcome). Everyone will head to the local market together to select the freshest ingredients for your dishes. 

Once you've arrived back at the cooking studio, all guests will individually prepare their Vietnamese dishes at individual stations. Every recipe was carefully selected by the chef and has been in local families for generations. 

This cooking class and market tour is an unmissable highlight in Vietnam and a true immersion into local life.

You will cook 4 dishes. Please choose your own menu and let us know in the comment section when you book. You can also choose any three of the listed dishes and any 1 dessert if you prefer.

1. Square Sài Gòn Pork Spring Rolls
2. Squid in a Tamarind Sauce
3. Sautéed Cubed Beef (Beef and mushroom sauce)
4. Chè Hạt Sen (Lotus Seed Pudding)

2. Highway4 Fried Rice
3. Highway4-style Grilled Beef
4. Floating Cake (Bánh Trôi)

1. Vegetable Spring Rolls
2. Banana Flower Salad
3. Tofu & Vegetable Fried Rice
4. Green Bean Pudding (Chè Đậu Xanh)

Menu D

1. Fresh Imperial Spring Rolls
2. Chicken Breast sautéed with Cashew Nuts
3. Pan–fried Prawns wrapped in Shredded Coconut
4. Floating Cake with Mung Bean (Bánh Chay)

• 9:10 am: Cyclo trip to Hôm Market
• 9:30 am: Hôm Market food tour
• 10:30 am: Hands-on cooking class 
• 12:30 pm: Lunch & introduction to dining culture
• 1:00 pm: End of program
