Bay Mau Eco Cooking Tour
Since its foundation in 2002, Bay Mau Eco Cooking Tour has gained a reputation for teaching authentic Vietnamese dishes to international tourists. Our cookery school is located on the beautiful river of Cam Thanh village. It is built following the design of a traditional stilt house which makes you feel comfortable and enjoy the fresh air as well as outstanding views.
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel. The guide will take you to a local market to tell you about the main ingredients in Vietnamese cuisine and choose fresh ingredients for the cooking class. This is also one of the highlights of the tour where you can gain an insight into Vietnamese herbs and spices.
After the market trip, the car will take you back to Cam Thanh Coconut Village. Then you’ll be transferred to a unique bamboo basket boat to explore the beauty of the Bay Mau coconut forest also called the Mekong Delta in the heart of Hoi An. While the guide shows you how to pound and separate rice, grind rice to make rice milk, and make rice paper, you will have the chance to experience traditional Vietnamese cultural tools like a stone mortar and wooden pestle.
