M.O.M Cooking Class

If you love Vietnamese food, don't miss this class! We learned about the French and Vietnamese influences behind Bánh Mì, prepared our own sandwich, and made creamy Vietnamese Egg Coffee from scratch. The food was delicious, and our host made us feel completely at home. A unique and enjoyable Saigon experience.

We really enjoyed this cooking experience as a family. Making Bánh Mì together was easy to follow and lots of fun, and the Egg Coffee was something completely new for us. The home setting made the experience feel personal and authentic. Everyone enjoyed the food, and we would happily do this class again.

A fantastic way to experience local life in Ho Chi Minh City. The class was very hands-on, and we got to prepare every part of our Bánh Mì before enjoying it with freshly made Egg Coffee. Our host was friendly and shared interesting stories about Vietnamese food and culture. We left with full stomachs and new cooking skills!

We had a wonderful time learning how to make authentic Bánh Mì. Everything was explained clearly, from preparing the baguette to making the fillings and sauces. Rosie our tutor was delightful and bought warmth and humor as well as education to my day.The premises were spotless and the ease of understanding ingredients and processes was faultless. Helen was spectacular and such a great instructor. She and her team were very organized, with all the ingredients and cooking equipment ready to keep the class flowing seamlessly from one dish to the next. The stories she shared about cooking with her grandmother, along with the knowledge she passed on about each technique and her expertise in preparing every ingredient, made the class both special and engaging. I was truly impressed by the entire experience.

Very friendly staff with great instructions and at the end a really delicious meal. We had phở and bánh mì and both tasted delicious! We would go there again, because it’s really modern and everyone takes great care of you.

Thank you for the easy-to-understand Vietnamese rice noodle and banh mi cooking guide. The well-equipped cooking tools and cleanly prepared ingredients were also good. The taste of the dishes I made was better than any other taste. Thank you to the teacher who taught me how to cook. If I have the chance next time, I will learn other Vietnamese dishes

They tell us prepartaion method of the sause. It was not difficult and we could replay it after goiing back to Japan. They were very friendly and kind. They advised us not only coolking but also transportation to the airport.

My sister and I spent the morning with Chef Tram visiting the market and cooking some delicious Vietnamese food. We were a total of three students so essentially it was like having a private cooking class. The market visit was lively, colorful and informative. We learned about different Vietnamese herbs, vegetables and noodles and bought some ingredients to use in our recipes. We got to experience how local Vietnamese shop for their food and learn about the going ons of the market. The actual cooking instruction was good. Chef Tram explained the process, demonstrated it and then we replicated it. We made 3 dishes and got to eat each after making it. It would've been nice if the chef stayed and talked while we ate just so we could learn more about Vietnamese life and culture, but this isn't a big deal. We had nice conversation with her while prepping the meal. At the end we received written copies of the recipes to recreate these dishes at home. The chef offered possible substitutes for certain ingredients we may not be able to find. In addition, throughout the cooking session, she gave us tips about what to look for when buying ingredients - - all very helpful. Thank you, Chef Tram and Mom Cooking.

Had a great time cooking, who would have known I could make such tasty food! The market tour was really nice and I learned a lot.

I recently completed the cooking course and food market tour with my parents and husband on a weekend trip to HCMC. Highlight of our trip and the highlight for my parents whole trip in Asia. Cooking class was great fun and easy to follow step by step cooking a delicious 3 course meal. The market visit to buy ingredients was fantastic and all produce bought was explained. Would 100% recommend this cooking class and I would definitely go back and do it again.
