On our Puerto Viejo Food Tour, let our guides show you some of the best food and most scenic locations on our coast. We have real food here. Each one of these restaurants is in itself a destination. The beauty of our evening is the collective experience and uniqueness of the eclectic tastes the restaurants have to offer.
Indulge in eight delicious tastings of authentic local cuisine as we wine and dine our way down our coast. We will pick you up in our clean and comfortable golf cart, and transport you down to Manzanillo, where we begin our evening.
Menu
- Experience the flavors of Argentina with a taste of steak chimichurri, indulge in Peruvian ceviche, and savor the richness of curried hummus, among other delectable dishes.
- Delight in Caribbean culinary classics such as jerk pork, gallo pinto, and the traditional casado.
- At select stops along the way, enjoy tastings of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, adding another layer of enjoyment to your culinary journey.
Cronograma
- Begin your tasting journey at Playa Grande, the first location.
- Move on to the second location, Punta Uva, for tastings and a breathtaking sunset.
- Visit the Pelican Gastropub and Cafe at Playa Chiquita your third destination.
- Head to Cocles for the fourth tasting location.
- Explore the culinary offerings at Puerto Viejo, the fifth stop.
- Experience the flavors at Chino Beach Puerto Pirata, the sixth location.
- Conclude your culinary adventure at Dee-Lite Gelato Shop for a delightful dessert before returning to the starting point to conclude the session.

Discover Puerto Viejo Food and Drink Gems!!!
Puerto Viejo Food Tours was just awesome, for a small town the food scene in Puerto Viejo is vast, and Laura really helped us navigate this from beginning to end, taking us to local gems that you wouldn't do on your own......
highlights were the Tiki bar for Mai Tai's and the view, Jason's Jerk Chicken was delicious-the real
deal, and the ceviche exceptional.
If your looking to find your food & drink groove in Puerto Viejo don't look any further than Laura!!!

So Fun and So Filling!
We like to do a food tour when we arrive in a new place to give us an idea of the local cuisine and good places to visit during our stay. Lora was an amazing guide and we feel like we were able to sample a large variety of food you will NOT leave hungry so come with an empty stomach. Not only did Lora provide us with a lot of tasty food samples - she also gave us so many local attractions to visit as well as recommendations on transport companies and must do activities and recommended guides. Lora is a very welcoming guide and you will feel comfortable with her the moment you meet here. We even happened across one of the marching bands in Viejo and she stopped and parked so we could watch them perform even though that was not even remotely part of the tour description. Overall this was a great way to spend a beautiful evening.

The Best Taste of Puerto Viejo, Limon, Costa Rica!!!
To say that we recommend this tour is an understatement! Lora, the tour guide, is a pleasure to spend time with. Her knowledge of the area is vast and her taste in food is impeccable. We chose this tour because we had never visited the Caribbean coast before and wanted to learn as much as we could.
Each stop came with a story, an introduction to restaurant owners and staff, and amazing food. Our first was an Argentinian Steakhouse and what a start! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was delightful. Lora walked off to look for monkeys that lived in the trees nearby. That adventure did not come to pass, but others did.
We look forward to our next visit and new hidden gems.

Yum, a must do!
Our host Lora was fantastic. She gave us a little history lesson while driving us to our first stop. The food was spectacular and plenty. We had already been here a week and tried many restaurants. She took us to some out of the way gems we would have never found on our own. We highly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed. Wear stretchy pants 😉

From start to finish this was an amazing adventure. Hosts were great, food supreme. I suggest you skip lunch. A must do!!
