Then, head into the kitchen and get hands-on as you prepare an authentic family-style menu from scratch.

Learn the secrets behind El Quichón, an ancestral recado made with charred ingredients and traditional cooking methods, and prepare the historic Sopa de Soldadito. You’ll also discover how to make Ticucos on the traditional comal and practice hand-patting your own tortillas before cooking them over the fire.

To finish, gather around the family table and enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared together, including a mystical dessert of sweet potato slowly roasted in the glowing embers.
