Great atmosphere and our chef was really witty and made everything look so easy!

I had a great time learning how to prepare and cook some typical thai dishes. We started off with a little walk around the fresh market to see where the ingredients are coming from. The preparation and cooking was also fun and I got some valuable tips.

What a wonderful class - efficiently delivered by a Thai Chef (thanks Lekky!). Chef effortlessly taught all participants (6 in my class) four individually chosen dishes plus one of the chefs demonstrated how to cook Mango Sticky Rice. All delicious food which we ate at the end … too much food to finish in one sitting so I took my left overs home. I feel confident to do more on my own & with online access to their endless recipes & guidance, I feel this was such a worthwhile & great value class. The nearby markets provided good learning too (I’m going back there today). The cooking school is well set up & I appreciated how clean, organised & well supported we were with a team of four on hand. Airconditioning was a bonus! Easy to get to near BTS On Nut. Highly recommended.

We only could not find eachother bij Nut exit 3 so that was not a nice introduction. We waited at nut exit on time. Maybe it was better to go directly to the cookingclass if I had the adress. Only 5 min walk!

The class was really nice, with the small tour at the market, and the possibility of choosing the meals we like to cook. It was a little too fast to my liking but still nice a very nice class.

The course was enjoyable! The place was spacious, and the temperature was nice! Great experience! But, if possible, maybe please provide us the recipes to bring home 👍🏻

I was so impressed at how well this worked! There were 11 of us in the class, and so for each course at least 3 different dishes were being instructed at the same time, but it worked perfectly. It worked very well for our family as we have very different tastes. Absolutely excellent food, and I would love to take the class again just to try making the other available options!

We had the best time in the cooking class with Lekky. Everything was extremely well-organized and taken care of. A lot of extra questions were answered in detail and with great humor. We would do it anytime again 🫶 Thank you 🙏

Lekky was a Great Instructor. It was really cool that everyone made his one food. But even this was great, an Information about this would be great before. We were to people and booked the same because we thought they will do Groups for the Same :). But overall, 10/10.

It was a little bit of cooking by the numbers (pre-measured ingredients etc.) but honestly it saved so much time, we got to prepare the bits by ourselves, and the food turned out amazing. I'm confident I could cook each dish on my own next time. I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed it a lot! Very nice Chef instructor and the dishes were amazing!!! But because everybody was allowed to choose what to cook, sometimes it was a bit difficult to understand which instruction was for whom.

Educating.

Girl goes around the pickup point in an apron so easy to find. Probably one of the better ways to spend 3/4hrs in Bangkok, class was full and my wife who's a chef even learnt a good bit.

Great way to learn how to cook some of the Thai dishes. Absolutely fantastic bubble chef with very good English however way to fast and to big group. While you are signing in your choosing your dishes to cook and if you don't remember them on the day, you forget what you are cooking. Explanation about ingredients and tour market way to fast. Meeting point and process itself needs to be improved. Overall had great time.

You can choose each dish and still learn about the other dishes. The food was delicious and the class was well organized. 10/10 recommendation.

The Thai cooking class was great. The instructor, Leket, was full of energy and fun. We got to cook c4 dishes of our choice and it was very vegetarian friendly! And then, of course, we got to eat everything we made!

Well-organized, has great facilities, and is easy to follow. The other reviews I read about this were accurate and reflected our experience. There were a couple of young teenagers in our group and everyone kept up with no problem. The instructor was excellent and fun. The meals were so good. Best don’t eat before going.

We learned a lot about a variety of Thai dishes. The concepts were explained very well and the food came out delicious. Many of the ingredients were new to us and we're excited to find them and make the dishes we learned when we return home.

Well executed and informative

Met staff at appointed time and place and walked short journey to cooking school. Decided not to go to market as only two in class today… our choice. Right away, felt welcome and shown around. Had picked our dishes to be cooked, all ingredients explained and shown. One of us is experienced cook, one completely not at home in the kitchen. Cannot believe how easy and straightforward the teaching was, at a pace for both of us, and we both produced 5 fabulous dishes that were made to our own level of spicyness. Then we ate , or attempted to get through, all of our culinary delights. Cannot recommend this place enough. Clean, friendly, great fun. Get it booked.

It seems the only cooking class that lets you choose your dishes. Loved it. Good Team managing the cooking with 14 other people cooking different recipes. Can recommend.

Nice people, much fun - highly recommended!!

The format was unlike any other class bc everyone is cooking their own menu of choice! You’d think this would be cause for chaos but the school has perfected the timing and procedure of all of it, so class runs smoothly and efficiently! Everyone not only successfully and easily pulled off all their own dishes but we also got to tag team on pounding the curry paste which was fun! I liked how everything was preportioned on trays and we just focused on slicing/dicing all the ingredients and wok-ing.

They can change dishes to be Vegan/Vegetarian and even Gluten free which was Great! In the end it was a bit stressed but I think that comes from many people cooking different dishes. But everything was delicious

Great we could choose the dishes. Market tour gave us an introduction to common Thai ingredients. Instructions very clear and all staff helpful. The class is a well oiled machine - cleaning up efficiently and preparing next section without us realising. The amount of food is too much to eat in one sitting but could take it away which I enjoyed

I had a good experience cooking with the Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy. The instructor was nice and thorough, and I loved the ability to customize your meal based on your preferences. When you first start, you meet outside of an MRT station, and walk through a traditional market where the guide will talk you through all the essential ingredients for Thai cooking. In the end, you get to enjoy the delicious meal you cooked with your peers. Will recommend to anyone looking to learn Thai dishes!

It was a great expreience to see the market and than after that to cool all the good menus. I really liked that we could choose which menu we would like to cook. De dessert, mango sticky rice was soooooo delicious. I would do this class again.

Very good cooking class in a small group. First we went to a market to learn basic ingredients that are used in thai dishes and later we get to the class. It was organized very well. Everything was explained clearly.

The class was fun, good value and well worth the time. The teacher had good energy and an engaging and encouraging style that helped even the most novice chefs like myself. The end product itself (all 4 dishes) were actually really tasty!

I chose this cooking class as I wanted to have some flexibility in choosing the dishes I learn to make. There is a list of 4 options for each of the four types of dishes you learn to make: curry, stir fry, salad or soup, noodle dish or rice dish. You also learn how to make sticky coconut rice mango dish. All recipes were fantastic. Penang curry was outstanding, followed by Tom som, pad Thai and coconut sticky rice. Definitely recommend. It’s also easy to get to.

We were seven that joined their class, some vegan and other vegeterians and it was just as good as the people that had mest. The staff members were super nice. It was also fun to get to choose from different dishes. It was really organised even though not everybody was making the same dish. The food was delicious, 10/10. Only down side was that it was a lot of food and some of it went to waste, so maybe you could bring some containers to bring the food back home. I’ve been to few cooking classes and this is one of the best.

The class was extremely well organized. The instructor was efficient, clear, and helpful in the process. She showed us everything and everyone enjoyed themselves. It was a big class, but still got good results! Make sure not to eat before this class. It includes 5 FULL SIZE portions. All delicious!!

Wir sind 2 Deutsche Pärchen und haben uns für diese Kochschule entschieden, weil sie auch professionelle Kurse für Köche usw. anbietet. Außerdem ist sie sehr gut mit BTS oder Taxi erreichbar. Ich wusste nicht, wie wir 4 Gerichte kochen sollen, aber wir haben es mit Leichtigkeit geschafft. Die Köchin Lekki hat den Kurs sehr witzig und kurzweilig gestaltet. Die Erklärungen waren sehr gut und man konnte alles fragen. Die Rezepte erhält man über die Homepage und kann anfangen mit dem Kochen. Das Essen hat seeeehr gut geschmeckt und wir sind mehr als satt und glücklich raus aus dem Kurs.

Great cooking class. Very organised, even with many individual menus in one group. Clean cooking space and clear and easy to understand instructions resulting in some yummy food to eat at the end.

Took this cooking class while visiting Bangkok. We took a tour of the market, my instructor explained the various types of vegetables used in Thai cooking. We then walked over to the building were the cooking class was held. It sounds confusing when it says "choose what you want to cook". However when I arrived all the dishes I chose to cook were at my station in on different plates. The other people who were cooking also had the same set up. However when it came to cooking the various dishes, she would call the "appetizers" to be prepared. You would grab the plate with your appetizer dish on it. She then tells the people with the same appetizer selections how to prep their dish. Then would move on to another appetizer dish that needed to be prepared. And so on and so on. It was great! Our instructor was patient with loads of personality, on my next visit back I will definitely by and take another class.

The team was really nice and we enjoyed a great service. The visit at the market was very interesting as we learned a lot about the local ingredients. We cooked all of or chosen meals step by step and learned how to make a basic curry paste, which was great. It tased so good! Thank you for this great class!

Highly recommend the Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy. You start out at a wet market far from the tourist area, learn about ingredients, do all your own prep work, cook, and enjoy the fruits of your labor, all under expert guidance. The cost couldn’t be more reasonable!

I was attending to classes with one more person - it couldn't be better! Such small group gave us opportunity to ask more qestions and got 100% of our's teachers attention. Everything was clear and explained to us. I loved fact that we had oopurtunity to prepare 5 dishes! It was amazing and suprsing for me that you can cook so quickly. Of course, some of ingriedients were preapred before our session started, like already cooked potates or sticky rice - but it was fine and gave us more time for real Thai cooking. I would recomend to anyone who want to try his strength in Thai cuisine - this Academy makes eveything simplier :)

This class was wonderful. The instructor was so fun and organized. The menu was delicious, and everything ran so smoothly. I'll be referring this class to all of my friends, and will hopefully have the chance to take it again some day.

Great class, we'll worth it

It was so good!! We totally enjoyed the cooking and walking the market. When we walked through the market our guide explained the different spices and special Thai vegetables. That was very interesting. In the cooking school everybody had his own place where the veggies and sauces got prepared from the students. Our chef was really great, she had so much fun explaining how to cook all the dishes, that makes us have a lot of fun too. We are vegan, so everything that's not vegan was replaced for us. They were really caring, helpful and answered any question we had. We had a great time and the food was soooo tasty!!!

The entire experience was top-notch. The market tour was informative, helping us understand the essential ingredients in Thai cooking. Dao, our instructor, was brilliant, keeping the class flowing and engaging with her wonderful sense of humor. What impressed me the most was that we could pick our own dishes. And that the entire class was cooking a variety of dishes at the same time. This allowed us to learn about he similarities between recipes and how a change of a few simple ingredients is all it takes to make a different Thai dish. What a wonderful opportunity it was since most classes require people to cook the same dish at the same time.

A thoroughly enjoyable day. Choosing the 4 dishes you wanted to learn ( 1 each from a selection of Appetiser, Curry, Soup/salad, and) Stir Fry in-line. Easy trip to On Nut BTS meet the school Rep right at BTS exit. A short (5 min) walk to an informative market session to check out the ingredients, then back to a very professional school setting where everyone had their own cooking station and appropriate level of support from the instructor. We were a group of five - 3 adults and teenage girl (16) boy (14) and everyone loved it. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Pat (from Australia) December 2019

Fun/ fast and very nice instructors/helpers. Only thing I wish was I learned my dish all the way through. I get the logistics of the class where everyone does their own part but it is hard to retain my specific meal if I do it in steps then wait for others to do theirs. The food was amazing and well worth the money! If you go with someone else get different dishes to share - trust me you will not be disappointed. I would add more curry in my pineapple fried rice The laab gai was divine. Yum yum yum. What an amazing experience.

Had a short stop over in Bangkok, and decided to take a class as at home I do cook Thai food regularly. I'm really glad I did, I learned several technics for cooking and making powders that I did not know about. Flavor's were spot on, and surprisingly easy to make, well it helps having everything cleaned and cut, and not having to clean up after! Highly recommend coming here if you like to cook, you will be glad you did.

The meeting location was easy to find, easy to identify the tour group leader, and a short walk to the cooking school. The teacher spoke in English and was very patient with our team of international cooking students. The group was broken up into three rooms in support of a more smaller and intimate cooking experience. At the end, I received a certificate of my ability to prepare several Thai meals.

We were a group of 12 ‘chefs’ all cooking 4 individually chosen dishes. The instructor was very friendly and gave clear instructions which were easy to follow. There were also several sous chefs to assist if necessary. Our finished food tasted amazing and if you had any left overs they were bagged up for you to take away if you wanted. The kitchen area was clean and all washing up and tidying away was done for us- perfect!

From the minute we met our chef the organisation of the class was wonderful. Seeing the market and asking questions about other foods like frogs and turtles etc was also so interesting . The class was so well organised and in English!!! I still can’t believe we cooked all the dishes which tasted out of this word! It is a a ‘feel good ‘ course and I would recommend it to anyone !

Classroom style cooking school. The class started with a short trip to the local market where our teacher talked us through some of the local ingredients that we would be using. We didn't actually buy the ingredients in the market, all the ingredient sets were ready for us when we got back to the school (already split up onto separate trays for each dish and in your work station). Really enjoyed the fact that we prepared everything and then cooked it all at the end, this meant we could all sit down and eat everything we'd cooked at the same time. It was also great that we were able to choose our own dishes - meaning that we could cook our favourites rather than a pre-set menu. In the end we all shared each other's cooking and tried 10+ dishes in total. Be prepared to cook far more than you can eat (we asked them to bag ou leftovers up and we had them for lunch the next day)! A really enjoyable morning.

Great course The market tour was informative about the different vegetables used in the dishes. The prep and cooking where both well instructed and easy to follow. The cooking was fun and food cooked tasted great. Second cooking class with Cookly and will probably do it again when next in Bangkok.

Though it was only a few hours after our arrival at Bangkok, the meeting place was easy to find. Followed by the interesting market tour, we cooked 5 dishes. Lecky(?), the instructor, was organized, skilled and joyful. I'd recommend the class to any Japanese. Language doesn't matter at all.

The teacher was not only a good cook but an empathetic listener who could control the most wayward of chefs like me. The preparation was impeccable and the back room support always there and available. It's a must do for anyone interested in Thai food.

Nice class that catered for novices and more experienced cooks. Chef was clear and encouraging with instructions and had a great team that helped with all the prep work. Nicely paced. The tour to the local market with suggestions for alternative ingredients was helpful. Chef had promised to give us the recipes at the end so we didn’t need to take notes but seemed to hVe forgotten. I emailed her for the recipes but it’s been over a week and nothing yet - very disappointing. Would recommend moreso if got actual recipes

My two daughters (15 and 17) and I took this class on our recent trip to Bangkok. The class was well paced and easy to follow. I'm amazed we made all of the dishes we did in the time allotted. All of the food was delicious. I loved that we were each able to choose the dishes we wanted to prepare.

Really impressive how they managed many different dishes for all the students. It was well organized and moved along seamlessly. We ate everything and had a great time. Can't wait to cook these at home. Great job to the entire team.

Way worth the money, such a great cooking experience. The food was some of the best we had in Thailand! The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. I'm still dreaming of that panang curry, and can't wait to get my own wok and high-powered gas stove.

Overall we really enjoyed this cooking class. We took a short trip to the local market where the woman talked through some of the ingredients we would be using the make the dishes. We then returned back to the school to start cooking. It was good that we got a choice of what meals we wished to cook. The head chef spoke good English and went through everything thoroughly. The dishes all tasted amazing!

I had a great time at this class and learned about all of the proper ingredients to recreate some of the classic Thai dishes. The instructor was really funny and her assistants were great as well. It was easy to find and only lasted until 4 or so when they give you time to eat. It wasn’t wayyyy too much food to eat as one person, though!

We were blown away by how organized and kind the staff was. The teacher was funny and sweet and super attentive. The dishes we made were delicious and easy to follow steps to make. It was a fun & engaging class from the start. We were taught the different ingredients & sauces that make up the dishes. We were able to choose 5 different dishes that we wanted to cook which is much better than a fixed menu. The lady instructor was hilarious & professional too! We had joined the cooking class on 18May, where we could choose 5 dishes to cook. Right from the start, it was a fun experience, the instructor was very friendly too. I would definitely join again when I’m in Bangkok next time!

Great experienced and professional staff

My friend and I wanted a diffrent trip than usual sightseeing hence this cooking class falls into one of our itinerary. It was a memorable activity to both of us as for her, she hardly cook buy enjoyed eating her own cooking so much and for myself, I got to learn dishes to be cooked for my kids (spicy-free). We love the class that we can choose our favourite dishes vs other academy that only offer what they wanted to teach. the only setback we experience is seeing other students have many leftover of the food cooked. Would strongly recommend academy to advise student to bring along container to take away their food. We packed our food and have it as dinner too in our hostel. Last advice: DO NOT WASTE FOOD, many people is STARVING in another part of the world. Again, thanks for the experience and see you again LEK... :)

Very practical class, fast teaching but very clear. Best ratio quality/price. Make sure to bring a doggie bag if you have left over to take home cause you'll make a lot of food!

It was great fun, this Thai cooking experience! We were taught by a passionate and talented cook, the explanation was very clear. At first we could choose 5 dishes we would like to make. Then we prepared the food by cutting everything ourselves. The products came very fresh from the market nearby. After that we started cooking all the dishes after each other and at the end we all enjoyed our meal.

The whole cooking process was efficiently delivered and the food turned out amazingly well. The chef was also a funny but nice character. It could have been improved by making it feel more like an experience rather than a Quick process and explaining things abit better. The course mentioned we'd learn to make the deserts as well but we didn't however we were given a desert which they put together.

We recommend this cooking class to any visitor of Bangkok. Food is delicious and to understand all the ingredients is enlightening. Must do!

It is my first cooking class overseas and I absolutely love it! The instructor is friendly and funny. She is informative. The pace is good even For someone that don't have much cooking experience like me! No stress.. just pure fun and enjoyment! The facility is also clean and professional. Would definitely recommend to my friends!

We walked around the market next to the cooking school and could explore a bit of the ingredients. Back in the school we could do neatly all by ourselfes, while the cook explained every step we should do. She explained very well, so everyone could follow easily. So we chopped, stirred and cooked everything. It was a nice experience and I recommend that!

The head chef was funny. She is good in explaining things. Its was a wonderful experience to go to the market and determine a few ingredients and their characteristics.

I have done many cooking classes in several countries and this was definitely in my top! Good value for money, extremely competent, knowledgeable and organized trainer chefs Daw and Lekkie! I thought the strongest point is that you learn to cook a ton of dishes because every single participant chooses the dishes they want to cook, but then the trainer lists steps and ingredients to all students for all dishes. Recipes were fantastic and way tastier than some I had had in proper thai restaurants. Don’t hesitate! Just book it!

we took a thai coming class in Bangkok. it was the highlight of our trip. the instructor was funny and very attentive. she handled all the needs of the class . it was a lot of fun and interactive with the other students, we all got along very well. I would totally recommend this activity for everyone. it was extremely well organized.

It was great how we got to choose our own dishes! My boyfriend was a bit worried that it would be too quick for him but the class was easy to follow and we both had a great time. Our hosts were lovely and made a real effort to make sure everyone was having fun. They have a great selection of dishes to choose from (even Khao Soi) we would definitely recommend!

Very informative. 5 dishes easily prepared with all questions answered. The instructor also showed us the ingredients for each sauce and offered all Recipes prepared in class. I look forward to taking another class.

I had a ton of fun, it was great that every participant got their own cooking station and got to select their own dishes. I wish the market tour had been a bit longer and that we got to make the curry paste from scratch, but otherwise it was a fantastic experience! Would definitely come back and do another course.

Overall, it was a great experience. The variety at Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy in terms of dishes we were able to cook, was a bit greater than at other schools I've seen. It was nice to have the option to go a bit outside the typical dish selection of green curry, pad thai, fried rice, etc that all the other schools do and do something like Khao Soi and Pad See Ew and other less-common cooking school dishes. Instructors were friendly, had great english, and the food turned out delicious.

Once we started to cook the ingredients the teacher went a bit too fast but in general I really appreciated this class and I can’t wait to cook it back those delicious meals at home :)

From start to finish this was a very organised and well run operation. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the food was fantastic! All of the staff were lovely. We were even able to take the copious amounts of food we had made away with us, as there was NO way we were able to eat it all!!!!

I had an amazing experience in Thailand. My 5-day trip was indeed worthwhile. This was a trip and experience to remember. I was able to visit the locals, got to talk to them, and learn from them during the market tour. I also had the freedom to choose my own course and provided me with vegetarian option. Cooking with strangers did not feel weird, instead it felt warm as if you are cooking with your family. Everyone was so kind. And i was able to create a sumptuous dish on my own. I was one with nature and Thai culture. As the day went by, i became to understand how important it is to preserve culture and i was able to bring that learning and experience home with me.

Happy tummy and happy heart. Our short trip was fun filled thanks to this cooking class. We visited Bang Chak market to get some fresh ingredients. It was clean and the people were smiling and entertaining. We got to choose 5 dishes to learn upon booking and the instructor was so passionate about making us understand Thai culture and shared with us some cool hacks and secrets to Thai cuisine. Since he was energetic, we never had a dull moment during the class. Overall, it was insightful and fun-filled!

Good experience

The whole experience was great. The teacher had lots of enthusiasm and made it fun. Everything was well prepared and the fact that you were able to cook 6 dishes in one session was great. All in all, I would highly recommend this cooking school.

A group of three of us attended and it was great being able to choose dishes that we each preferred and being able to try their options at the end too. The variety was what sold us on this class and we weren't let down. The teacher, Unice, was great. She was easy to understand even giving instructions for multiple dishes at once. I would highly recommend!!

Short market visit, Lot of choice in the menu, that is great. The teaching is more how to prepare the vegetables and then you pour bowl 1,2,3,4 in the pan, and thats it. I am maybe a little severe, food was really excellent, it is so good to eat fresh food intead of these horrible buffet or pre-cooked meal as in many restaurant.

Unnise made my birthday cooking experience super amazing, the food was prep to perfection, the food was delicious and plenty to take back to our apartment for dinner. The entire staff was amazing!

My wife and I attended this class on the last day of our visit to Bangkok. We regret not attending the class sooner. We learned how to cook several Thai dishes and learned about various types of ingredients used in Thai cuisine during the market tour. We had fun taking this class and recommend it to anyone interested in cooking.

It was a good time, learned to make lots of dishes and found out that Thai cooking is not that hard once you have the right ingredients. One thing I would change is to cook a few courses and then eat them. Not cook all five at once. Best Timothy

I love, love, love this cooking experience in Thailand. Best part is getting able to choose from a long list of dish options. Other programs force you into their standard menu. This was my third time in 3 years and enjoyed it tremendously. One improvement, IMO, was dropping the time consuming and physically challenging process of grinding your own curries and spice mixtures. Historically and culturally interesting, but even Thai people don't do that anymore. Learning how to buy at the Asian grocery store will surely be a much more useful skill once I am back home. (Pro tip: bring a GoPro on a small tripod or clip mount. Cooking 5 Thai dishes can get intense. Having a video helps me remember exactly what I did once the ingredients went into the wok.)

We enjoyed the short tour around the market to see the local product we would be using. The chef explained clearly as we cooked making sure we all ended with 5 incredible meals. It was the best food we ate in Bangkok in the three days we were there....and we made it!

This was a professional and well-organized school. Clean, well prepped, and carefully managed and monitored during cooking process. We were able to choose amount 4-5 dishes for 4 courses. (There was a 5th course, a dessert course, that we witnessed but didn’t make.) I liked this element of choice. For dishes with curries, we were told what was in the curry but didn’t actually make it. However, they did give a link to an online site with all recipes which I am excited to explore. The market visit was a vegetable stand in the alley market nearby. We were shown many interesting vegetables and described the flavor and use. The guide and instructor was friendly, full of info, passionate and fun.

We enjoyed the short stroll to the market where we got lots of vegetables explained. Cooking was fun, although i'm not sure who will do all the preparation back at home ;-) the guys had done a good job for us! Everything Is well organized, Anniz tried her best in keeping the lesson fun and educative at the same time.

GREAT time and I feel well prepared with the online recipes provided to cook Thai at home in Canada.

The tour of the market was a GREAT added value and "Wink" was a wonderful guide! Our friends and family back in Canada are all asking for a Thai dinner which will come shortly. Thanks for your help and insights into Thai cooking and culture.

We enjoyed the class. The chef was really friendly. Suggest placing the ingredient list on the table for better understanding. If time permits maybe also give a few alternative ingredients for foreigners who are unable to get the intended correct items.

The teacher for our small morning group was great and easy to follow. The two young women who greeted us at the meeting point were also very friendly and helpful playing backup roles during the class. That said, I feel like they’re trying to cram too much into too short an amount of time. The “market tour” really wasn’t. We walked to a stall where they’d clearly prearranged with the owner to stand there and show us which vegetables were which. We didn’t actually buy any ingredients there, nor were we shown “how” best to shop at an open-air market like this. It wasn’t at all busy; it would have been easy enough to actually do a short tour. And if that’s not in the cards, then why go at all? The produce lesson could have happened in the classroom I chose this class solely for the ability to pick my own five dishes to learn. I’m glad I did, but even the cooking was not completely ours. Our instructor showed us what went into each dish, and has us chop vegetables but when it was time to cook, other things — mainly proteins — suddenly appeared by our cooking stations. All in all, probably the most I could hope for in a half-day class; next time I’d choose something a bit more intensive.

The guide we had was great. Spoke English well, was informative at the market visit explaining the different fruit and vegetables. The cooking class was great, with well explained easy steps. The food we cooked was delicious. Would highly recommend this cooking class and would love to do another one with them the next time we're in Bangkok

The fact that you go first to a nearby market and learn about the ingredients before you head to the cooking academy and prepare them creating your chosen meal makes the experience very authentic. Dao was such a good and entertaining teacher. Thanks to her and her assistants, it was absolutely nice to visit.

I enjoyed every aspect of the class. Easy presentation and informative. Very pleasant surroundings. Market section was great. Would love to prepare the curry pastes etc myself. Perhaps another time. Online recipes and instructions are great reminders of the processes shown and used in the class.

Thoroughly enjoyed learning Thai cooking at this class. The instructors were great and taught us to cook several dishes in under 4 hours.

Absolutely love being able to cook FIVE different authentic Thai meals. We had as much freedom as a cooking class on a schedule could offer. I enjoyed that not everything was pre prepared in that we still cut all of our own veggies and such. We also fully cooked all of our meals. I was happy with all my meals but I had friends that loved the experience but were not the most satisfied with their final meals. Definitely one of the better cooking classes in Bangkok!

C'est super de pouvoir choisir quels plats on souhaite cuisiner et de les déguster à la fin ! Même si la cheffe est parfois peu patiente et a tendance à faire à notre place dès qu'elle trouve qu'on est trop lents...

We really enjoyed the cooking class. We learned a lot on the market and it is nice, that you can choose different dishes. Even for vegetarians it is delicious and gluten free cooking is possible as well. The sauces and herbs were all prepared. So we didn’t do the measuring ourselves.

There was plenty of friendly and knowledgeable bilingual staff (Thai, English, Spanish). They all helped us work through each recipe smoothly and efficiently. Each recipe was portioned our prior to arrival and Scene was fun and knowledgeable, teaching us about each type of ingredient. Our class was 8 people in total and that was a perfect number so no one got left behind. My group of 5 family members with different cooking experience would totally do this again!

What a great experience myself and my husband had. The market tour was very interesting and we got to see things we had never seen before. The cooking class was brilliant and the guide made it very easy to understand. We made some gorgeous dishes and met some lovely people. Definitely recommended.

The option to select your own dishes is a big plus when compared to other cooking class. We had a lot of fun learning about different Thai ingredients and instructor was humorous which makes the class more engaging. Most importantly the food tasted home cook and we could adjust the spicy level to our taste. This means we could thoroughly enjoy the labor of our morning. I recommended it to my friends instantaneously and would return in the future.

The idea of each participant choosing the dishes he /she wants to learn is brilliant. I would not recommend the class for raw beginners. From the instructions given I got the feeling the instructor assumed the participants all had previous cooking experience. The group was small,only 4, and all of us got along well. Best cooking class I've ever attended! The tour to the market gave much needed background information to the food we made. The classroom was spacious, clean and air-conditioned. The room set-up was perfect for older people as we were able to sit most of the time to prepare our food (nice touch for my 80 year old mom with knee problem). The menu was great (since we can choose our own dishes). The chef is highly capable, confident and humorous. Hours filled with fun and excitement flew by and at the end, we left the class with wonderful memories and the ability to make authentic Thai food. Can't wait to try the recipes when I get home.

What wonderful way to spend my last day in Bangkok. I booked this tour last minute and they were able to get me in the next day. The market tour was very insightful and helpful to all types of cooking. The class was unbelievably informative and exciting and our instructor, Air, was funny and so much fun! I love that you can choose your own dishes so you dont have to only make the food set for that day. They are so good at multitasking that all members of the group make their food perfect and on time, all finishing at the same time and learning how to make various dishes. I would recommend this company to anyone coming to Bangkok who is interested in taking a cooking class, hardly any previous cooking skills required!

Went to this awesome cooking class with my daughter so this should be a "Must Do" on your next trip to BANGKOK-THAILAND. Liked that we could select from list the 5 items we would be cooking & eating. Small group of people, 1 Germany, 2 England, 2 Americans. Went to market to learn about fresh ingredients & spices which was really interesting. Wonderful people very helpful with improving all parts of cooking skills.
