Really fun time with this cooking class in a fantastic setting. The food we made was excellent. Friendly atmosphere. Double-check the address though since we had a difficult time finding the place.
The address given in the email was not the correct location, so I was a bit late (just search for Banana Kitchen on maps.) The class was a great introduction to Khmer cooking, I made spring rolls, yellow curry, and banana palm (cooked bananas with a coconut cream caramel.) Chef LomAng was very knowledgeable about cooking and answered plenty of my non-cooking questions too! Would be a great course to add to your trip.
Wonderful Cambodian experience learning about new local ingredients and recipes. Definitely worth the time and money spent. Our host/teacher was amazing and made my trip to Phnom Penh special. Highly recommend.
Very friendly teacher, who individually adapted to our wishes and very yummy food.
Amazing expérience ! We have done the Spring rolls, khmer yellow curry and banana palm ! All of that was delicious ! Thank you so much for the welcoming and especially to the Chef LomAng Peark and all the personal !
I was so fortunate to be picked by the chef herself, accompaning her to the market, sourcing all the ingredients for today's dishes. The place itself is professionally run, with clear instructions and tutoring along the way, bringing the creations to taste I can recommend this place
Had a good time during the class. The staff were very welcoming and explaining. They helped us navigate the market and gave us some tips. The lunch was very big and tasty as well. We received the recipes at the end.
I loved everything about the class!
This class was not only well organized and professional but was personable and fun. We were picked up in a tuk-tuk with our chef who then took us around the market to buy all our fresh ingredients. Even had extra time at the market for a local coffee and a little browsing. Upon arriving at the school we were greeted with a cold wash cloth and water. We got to washing and cutting all the ingredients we would use for the day. It was really hands on with great instructions and explanations. The dishes were superb in freshness and flavor. We had an amazing time, were well fed and learned a lot. Would highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn the local cuisine to be able to take back a taste of Cambodia 🇰🇭
The cooking class was very well organized and I was able to get a one on one tour of the market and help shop for the list of ingredients that we were going to use for the dishes we were going to make. Chef Touch, the chef leading the class, was fantastic and not only guided us through the recipe, but also told us about why the food is cooked a certain way and other ways to cook the same dish. After we finished making the dishes, the chef also got one of her staff to show me how to make the banana leaf plate that you commonly see Fish Amok served in. Overall this was a great experience and I would highly recommend this class if you want to learn how to cook some Khmer food.
We really enjoyed our trip to the market and cooking with Linh who was a very good teacher. The food we made was delicious too.
