Cultural Activity with Chinese Cooking Class (Vegetarian, market tour optional)

課程介紹

We will show you the variety of Chinese cuisine from home-style cooking to the vegetarian menu class.

Some classes included a local wet market tour where you will discover the local ingredients and learn how to bargain in Chinese! Then we will back to the kitchen, the teacher will explain you the important part of Chinese food: seasoning, cooking methods, what people really eat at home and so on, then begin the hands-on cooking practice for every participant.

After the cooking class, we will eat together and have a chat over a cup of tea. You will be offered to a traditional tea ceremony: gong fu cha, with some of the finest Chinese tea. 

Chinese Calligraphy

Learn Calligraphy is one characteristic of the traditional Chinese culture and art. It is a rule of Chinese character writing.
Chinese calligraphy has a long history, after thousands of years of development, evolved into today’s text, from oracle evolution seal script, official script, calligraphy has been sending out the unique artistic charm.

Chinese Tea Tours

Tea has a primary place in Chinese culture, as one of the Seven Necessities along with rice. We will guide you around the best tea market of Shanghai, which is home to shops selling all varieties of tea at reasonable prices.

You will discover the gongfu tea ceremony, learn how to differentiate oolong, green, black, white and Pu-er teas and understand why tea culture in China is often compared to wine culture in western countries.

Paper Cutting

Cut-paper designs are commonly posted on windows and doors all around China and are sometimes also called “chuāng huā”, meaning “window flower”. Many of the designs are unbelievably intricate and wonderful!

Chinese Painting

Learn how to create different brush painting techniques, taking inspiration from nature. Students will also learn how to use oriental materials and tools properly following useful exercises, exploring the line to learn simplicity as a form of beauty. There will be an emphasis on subjects such as flower and animals. This is an ideal course for people interested in experience Chinese painting.
