The host, Hoa, is very warm and welcoming. (Her daughter had handmade pop-ups and other decorations for the table, which were very cute.) After I booked, she contacted me immediately to confirm what I wanted to make. When I previously booked a class with another host, I only found out about the reservation after contacting her, and then she made a number of unreasonable requests for changes. Hoa's response was very reassuring. I was also very grateful that she was willing to hold the class even though I was alone. I was taught in English, but she said she has also held classes using translation apps for those who are not confident in their English. She has also been to Japan and would love to have Japanese students attend. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a Vietnamese cooking class, especially if you prefer a small group!

Hoa hosted 3 of us in her home. She was a very gracious host and accommodated our request for vegan food. We prepared 3 tradional Vietnamese dishes: pho, mushroom pancake, and papaya salad. Hoa introduced us to ingredients new to us such as cardamon seeds in the shell and mung bean paste. She gave us cultural as well as culinary information. I would recommend this class.

Hoa was fantastic. Her skill and wealth of knowledge were amazing, both with food, its preparation, where to buy, what to look for regarding quality and the dishes she assisted us prepare were the cleanest and freshest tasting since arriving in Vietnam.

This cooking class was such a wonderful experience and unlike any other cooking classes on the market. You can request dishes off her list on the booking page to make sure you will be making something you will like and she caters for dietary restrictions and allergies too! Emily is so lovely and her home (where the class takes place) is so welcoming! She made sure that we always had something to do or watch and checked that we were following throughout the class. You get to eat your dishes around the dinner table, joined by her boyfriend who helps to prep and cook in parts of the class, and there was so much left over food that we took home with us which was amazing! At the end of the class we got to try some local market fruits as well which were delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and I would recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine in a cozy and welcoming environment.

Emily is a good teacher who is serious and responsible. She is always busy preparing everything and taking care of other people's feelings. It is very easy to be with her.

The host, Emily, was so nice, the first day I was on my early flight and I got to the apartment over five o'clock and Emily still came to greet. The whole tool was very clean, the furniture was new and the host cleaned daily. The host also offers a low-cost cooking class that teaches Vietnamese traditional food which is well worth it! The apartment is very conveniently located with circle k, Gs25 convenience store, ATM just downstairs. The first county in the core is also just a river away. Emily is very enthusiastic and fun, and we look forward to our next encounter!

We had a great time at Lua’s with Lúa and Emily. It’s a small, social cooking class that allows you to get to know the cooking and the people that you are with. Lia and Emily are welcoming and knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone
