Hoang's Cooking Class

Nach zwei Wochen in Vietnam war das Essen, das wir mit Hilfe des Kochs und unserer englischsprachigen Reiseleiterin zubereitet haben, das leckerste, das wir gegessen haben. Nachdem wir aus acht Optionen drei Gerichte ausgewählt hatten, die wir zubereiten wollten, brachte uns Kitty zum lokalen Markt, um frische Zutaten einzukaufen. Sie war kompetent, freundlich und humorvoll. Der Raum, in dem wir unterrichtet wurden, war recht einfach, aber Kitty übersetzte alle Anweisungen problemlos für uns, und wir hatten viel Spaß. Es war nicht nur super unterhaltsam, sondern wir bereiteten auch riesige Portionen zu, und alles war unglaublich lecker! Absolut empfehlenswert, wir hatten eine tolle Zeit!

Die meisten Fleischgerichte wurden durch die Kombination von Schlüsselzutaten wie Knoblauch, Zucker, Pfeffer, Naanpour und Salz gewürzt. Die Stadtführung war ebenfalls schön. Wir konnten auf dem Markt verschiedene Früchte probieren. Während des Unterrichts gingen wir manchmal in ein anderes Stockwerk. Das war etwas anstrengend für uns, besonders nach den anstrengenden Aktivitäten.

We had a great time doing the cooking class. Jenny, the host, was awesome. We really enjoyed the market tour we even got to try something from the market. They were really flexible in the choice of dishes and in the end, we had a lot of food and a great lunch. Would absolutely book it again.

Everything was well organized. The chef welcomed us and took for a short tour around the marked to do the shopping. He asnwered all the questions and was easygoing. There were only two guests- me and my friend what created a casual atmposphere. We don't eat meat and it was not a problem to prepare delicious dishes (mango salad, veggie pho and pan fried fish that ended up as fish spring rolls ). We had beer and soft drinks, took a lot of photos and videos and got a diploma at the end:) I truly recommend the classes. We found out a lot about Vietnamese spices, cooking techniques, using a chopper knife. There was so much food that we were offered to take the remaining take-out food.
