Want to dive into Singapore's delicious food culture? Join our cooking class, which includes a guided trip to the local wet market and a snack stop at a coffee shop.

Once you've shopped for fresh ingredients at the market, we'll head to our professional kitchen to cook up a menu of Singaporean favorites. Our expert chefs will share authentic recipes and traditional techniques that you can replicate in your own kitchen at home.

Afterwards, we'll enjoy eating your culinary creations in a family-style meal. The traditional Singaporean cooking culture is typically communal, so cooking the meal will be just as social and fun as eating it together.

Morning Class with Neighbourhood Tour

9:00 am: Meet at the school
9:10 am: Walking tour to show an authentic Singapore neighbourhood and see the daily life of the locals, such as our public housing and local coffee shops.
9:45 am: Stop for a light breakfast
10:30 am: Travel back to the cooking studio to begin the class
11:30 am: Enjoy your own homemade Singaporean food in a cozy atmosphere
12:00 pm: End of the culinary experience

"Great class"

Denise was a great instructor. Three dishes prepared under her guidance and direction. Recipes given when the class was done. Will prepare at home. Highly recommend!

"Local cooking experience at relaxed pace"

The class was paced well and Robin made sure we had enough time to converse, cook, and eat. I’m originally from Japan and live in Singapore for about 8 years and decided to join this experience to cook local cuisine myself as circuit breaker (similar to “lockdown” in other countries) reduced outside food options and taught us how important it is to cook at home. For mains, we chose Sayur Lodeh for myself as I’m vegan and Laksa for my partner and we also cooked Kueh Dadar as dessert. The recipes are simple enough for us to try cooking at home. Robin taught me some local facts about ingredients and a few things to note in cooking our chosen dishes. I’ve never cooked curry in coconut milk so it was my first experience to cook local curry. In hindsight, we could’ve chosen something other than laksa as a non veg option for my partner as ingredients and recipes are similar for laksa and sayur lodeh. Nevertheless, my partner is a Singaporean and she loved laksa very much and claimed it tasted more natural and flavorful with more spices and better fragrances than those that are diluted and loaded with MSG in hawker stalls. I also liked the convenient location that is also in a cultural area of Singapore. Partially thanks to travel restrictions, the class was private and I didn’t see any other guests. The experience was personable and memorable. Thank you, Robin!
