These will be your first steps to becoming a Balinese culinary expert! Enjoy a private cooking class at the herb garden pavilion or in the privacy at your resort. 

Before the class, you'll be taken on an educational trip to the local market. Tours through local markets are always a journey through the culture and history of a place. There, you'll handpick the needed ingredients for your dishes. The diversity of the market very great, meaning the class can easily be tailored to personal needs and preferences. Including, vegetarian and/or vegan preparation of dishes. 

At the Herbs & Stones facility, Chef Ngurah and his team will guide you through the proper preparation of a selection of Balinese and Indonesian dishes, such as Nasi Goreng, Sate Lilit, Pisang Goreng and more. Because the class is in such a private setting, you'll get maximum personal attention and guidance. You'll be amazed by the dishes you have created when you get to enjoy them at the end of the class. 

However, the most important thing in the Herbs & Stones cooking class is enjoying the journey and the process of preparing food together.

• Soto Ayam (Indonesian clear soup with chicken and Vegetables)
• Mie Goreng (the all-time favorite fried noodles)
• Kankung Pelecing (traditional market-fresh vegetables mixed with fresh local herbs and a bit of spice)
• Satay Lilit Ikan (local tuna satay, traditionally cooked over an Indonesian 'Arang' charcoal grill)
• Sambal Matah (famous and essential local chili condiment)
• Kerupuk (local crackers)
