What to Expect

We'll take a walk through the Historical Center, learning about traditional ingredients from the vendors at the fresh market. The dishes we prepare will depend on the season and market offerings, ensuring we use only the freshest products.

We will then head to my welcoming kitchen overlooking the sea, providing an unforgettable experience. My home is just a few steps from the main squares of the historic center. Together, we'll cook a first or second course and a dessert, all paired with fine Sicilian wine.

The menu will include an appetizer, a first course (or a second course), and a dessert. You are welcome to take notes and photos during preparation, and you'll leave with the recipe for the main dish. The experience will be conducted in English.

Fantastic Experience!!!

Everything was well planned and well executed. We were given a tour of the local markets, introductions to local merchants, treated to Sicilian drinks, told about customs and history--and even learned a few phrases in Sicilian. Mariella directed us in the kitchen, and let us do as much as we seemed capable of doing; we used vegetables and fish which we bought together that morning, but of course some of the preparation was already done, so as to save time. The table was beautifully set and decorated (for Easter), and the food was, of course, delicious. The meal was truly fun, with lots of toasts, jokes, and enjoyable conversation. It is hard to imagine a better or more welcoming experience.
