Sicily Cooking Classes

We were made to feel very welcome and the whole experience was very relaxed. We got to make a good variety of food including a starter, mains and desert. It was a hands on course. The location was lovely with a beautiful balcony view over the beach and sea. I would definitely recommend this cooking course.

We made fresh pasta, Nice sauce, appetizer and dessert. We had a Fun afternoon

From the time we arrived until the time we left our entire experience with Mariella was amazing. She tailored the menu for dinner to our wants and was very gracious when we were delayed a day due to Mt Etna erupting, to reschedule with us for the following day. She was so sweet and included all of us in the experience. She encouraged everyone to try the techniques she was demonstrating and the food we created together was out of this world. There was so much food! I would highly recommend enjoying a cooking class with Mariella! She was the absolute best!

Wow, wow, wow!!! My family will treasure this experience forever and always. The host family is full of soul and every expression us full of heart. They truly put the EXTRA in extraordinary. We also met travelers from around the world in our group and became fast friends with similar interests. It was a whole day and we left with lasting memories and full hearts 💞 You won't regret this or ever encounter a similar experience as it can not be duplicated by anyone anywhere.

This day went beyond our expectations. I was traveling with 6other family members. There were about 20 in our group Rather than a regular cooking class in a kitchen, this is an immersive garden-to -able cultural experience. Carlo and Jess share their family traditions in a way that made the experience very special for everyone and people from all over the world were sharing their own cultural 'flavors.'. We LOVED it!! And, oh THE FOOD!! The food was amazing!! It was a feast! I originally bought tickets for 5 of us because I am a Celiac and a sister is a gluten-free vegan. But while making arrangements, Carlo heard that, he said "No! You have to be together! We can take care of gluten allergies and vegan diets.". We were both SO happy we went. We ate really well and were overwhelmed by their hospitality and delicious meal. This is a must-do!!

This was not just a cooking class or a farm-to-table workshop, it was a very real and warm experience. Carlo and Jessy express their love for Sicilian traditions - it warms your heart. To be part of the harvesting, cooking and the traditional game was a true honor! If you’re on the island, you should definitely book with Carlo and Jessy!

Food was delicious. Michael was very open with his techniques and reasons for doing things a certain way. I definitely recommend Michael to you.

I wish I could give this experience 10 Stars!! Carlo and his charming wife, Jesse, are perfect hosts. This is not just a "farm-to-table" experience: it's about hard work, turning a dream into a reality, food, family, and fun--and, most importantly, love. We told stories, sang songs, laughed, and at times, even cried. Carlo described the archeological history of the site and the strong connections to the Sicilian culture, Jesse described how the liturgical calendar is linked to the crop harvest while picking sprigs of fennel. Their children hand-made pasta sheets that we formed into garden-fresh ravioli!! We ended the hot day drinking wine and diving into a cold river. It was simply unbelievable and unforgettable. If you find yourself in Sicily and you don't treat yourself to this very affordable experience then you're really missing out. This was a very informative pasta making class and it was a very relaxed and fun atmosphere in a lovely home. I enjoyed it so much I would consider doing it again just for more practice!

This was so much fun! Accursia and her son Vincensio were welcoming, knowledgeable, and prepared. From start to finish, we were taught about the pasta and how to make it. We created sevveral different pasta shapes (6 total), and learned about a variety of edible flowers and herbs to include. Everything we used was grown on their property and we were also treated to home grown fruits, wine, and breads. The experience was amazing and we really enjoyed it!❤️😊

If you want an experience where they do everything for you this is not the one to choose. This is truly an Italian family home and kitchen where you will make several courses from fresh pasta and veggies to fish and dessert. The hosts are incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about their craft and making a comfortable but authentic atmosphere. When gramma arrives to help it’s the sweetest thing. She doesn’t speak a lick of English but will encourage and help throughout the day. I definitely recommend this over a more commercial larger experience where they want to take you to a tiny market and charging more. We had a very small group of seven people, and it was perfect. The food was outstanding and we left full and satisfied. The location is quite quaint as it’s right on the waterfront overlooking the beach.

Amazing experience with chef Maurizio! He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. We shopped at the market, which was an amazing experience in itself. We then returned to chef Maurizio’s restaurant and made several dishes, including a simple sauce for pasta, caponata, stuffed sea bass and a delicious salad. One the best experiences we had during our trip to Italy and Sicily. Thank you chef!!

Our cooking class with Mariella was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. From the moment we arrived, Mariella welcomed us into her home like family. Her warmth, energy, and passion for Sicilian cuisine made the experience truly special. We loved learning about local dishes, cooking together, and hearing her stories about the region and its traditions. It felt less like a class and more like spending time with a dear friend. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Catania—it’s an authentic, memorable, and wonderful way to experience Sicilian culture.

What an unforgettable experience! We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday with Francesca at her beautiful home just outside Palermo, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. Francesca welcomed us like family and shared wonderful stories about her life, her family traditions, and the history behind the dishes we prepared together. The experience felt authentic, personal, and filled with warmth from start to finish. We learned how to make three incredible pastas from scratch, each with its own unique flavors and techniques. Francesca was patient, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel involved, whether they were experienced cooks or complete beginners. Sitting down afterward to enjoy the meal we created together was truly special. If you’re looking for more than just a cooking class, this is it. It’s an opportunity to connect with Sicilian culture, hear meaningful family stories, and create lasting memories around a table filled with amazing food. Celebrating my mom’s milestone birthday here made the day even more meaningful. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and memories our family will cherish forever. Highly recommend!
