Fabulous experience! The chef, “Woody”, is knowledgeable, talented, and unpretentious. We had a great time in the market sampling things and buying some ingredients for our meal. Everyone had ample opportunity for hands on prep and participation as desired. The final meal was so delicious, and the best paella we’ve ever had. A very fun and worthwhile experience. Wouldn’t change a thing.
The cooking school is located in a small lane in the beautiful neighbourhood of El Born. We were greeted with a welcome drink. Once we gathered the group together, we walked to the market. Santa Caterina market is where the locals buy their groceries! It's a very nice and clean market, much less crowded than Boqueria. We tasted some different tomatoes, cheese, ham and more. Our chef and guide knows the market and the people well and stopped here and there to tell us a bit about the ingredients. Back a the cooking school we did an olive oil tasting and then we started cooking. Our 5 course meal was really delicious! The cooking school is absolutely beautiful and the whole vibe is very charming. We had a great group and enjoyed a great cooking experience. Oh and you can help yourself at the bar while cooking - the wines were great ;) Thanks again to the team! Definitely recommend this class!
