What to Expect
This authentic culinary experience is perfect for those who love traditional Sicilian culture and cuisine. We will meet at 8:45 a.m. at the Ortigia market (Burgio Salumeria), conveniently located near the port where cruise ships dock. The activity begins with a delightful stroll through the market streets, where you'll discover local foods.
The experience includes food tastings, an introduction to fresh and preserved ingredients, smart cooking tips, shopping for ingredients for the lesson, and a special gift: my family’s cookbook, so you can recreate these recipes at home for your loved ones.
The cooking class with lunch will start at 10:00 a.m. in the Arenella area, just a 10-minute drive away. You will need a car to reach this location. During the lesson, you’ll have the chance to cook yourself, and I’ll guide you step-by-step in an engaging, clear, and simple manner to create a delicious three-course traditional meal, which we will enjoy together afterward.

- Meet at the Ortigia Market (Burgio Salumeria) at 8:45 AM.
- Local market exploration
- Arrival at the cooking school and presentation of all ingredients and equipment slated for use.
- Start of the hands-on cooking session at 10:15 AM.
- Indulge in the culinary delights crafted during the class.
- The experience ends, and the activity will finish at the original meeting point.

- We will meet in front of Salumeria Burgio at the Ortigia Market at 8:45 AM.
Note:
- The pick-up service costs €15 per additional person for two trips. If you find it useful, feel free to request it. For those far from Syracuse, I can arrange a taxi for you at its standard rate. Please note, the appointment will be 15 minutes before the start of the experience, and payment is to be made in cash.
- Transportation can be arranged and costs €20 cash per person.
- Transportation from the market to the villa is not included in the price. It's available at an additional cost. Request it if needed.
