This cooking experience is for those travelers who wish to gain insight into an Indian home and interact with an Indian middle-class family while learning to prepare a traditional Indian meal, dessert, and drink.

You will get to see how homes in India are styled and furnished and how a local family lives in India.

You will discover the culinary heritage and cultural values of India, beyond just the food. You will also get an opportunity to learn some useful Hindi words and sentences in a fun activity that you can use during your travels.

Anybody's visit to Delhi would be incomplete without booking this incredible experience!

"Roopak and Nidhi were a very hospitable and friendly couple."

Roopak and Nidhi were a very hospitable and friendly couple. I was warmly welcomed into their home. Prior to arriving, I was in contact with Roopak who gave me excellent written directions on how to get to their apartment. I was also asked about food preferences and optional extras. I felt fully informed. Nidhi was the person in the kitchen assisting us as we were "hands on" with the preparation of our lunch which consisted of dahl, veggie curry, roti, semolina pudding and chai. It was all delicious. Roopak educated us in between times with stories, Hindi lessons, writing our names in Hindi and even helping me plan my day for the next day. He had maps and information at his fingertips to show us but they were both interested in us as people which was fabulous. Roopak even drove me back to my hotel as it was raining. It wasn't a long way but it was certainly appreciated. Thoughly recommended.

This is a must do experience when you get to Delhi. Nidhi and Roopak are thoughtful, and made us feel welcome in their home. The experience is so much more than cooking, we learned a lot about India and the surrounding regions and had some great conversations. They catered to us as vegans and our meals were delicious. We can't wait to get home and try them out. We highly recommend this experience to everyone, whether you're a keen cook or just want to experience a unique taste of India.

We had a great time with this family and we recommend the experience! Everything was perfect, whether it was the care, the cooking, the explanations, the little activities that make the cooking time go by faster, etc. Everything is extremely well thought out and very qualitative. We learned a lot about cooking but also Indian and Hindu culture. It is really an experience not to be missed!

Punto de encuentro

Option 1 - The Guest can arrive by Cab / Uber at Sanskriti Apartment, Sector 19B, Dwarka, Delhi - 110075. I will meet the Guest inside the Sanskriti Apartment and then take him/her into my home for the Experience.

Option 2 - My home is just 5 min. (by car) from the nearest Metro Station which is "Dwarka Sector 10" on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro. I can pick up & drop off the Guest from the Metro Station at no extra cost.

In both Options, the Guest will receive detailed instructions from me after booking.
