L'une de nos meilleures expériences en Italie ! Rita nous a emmenés faire du shopping, nous a raconté l'histoire de Bologne, puis nous a accueillis dans sa magnifique maison pour apprendre à faire des pâtes bolognaises et des tortellinis à la sauge et au beurre. Nous avons appris énormément de choses, dégusté les délicieux plats que nous avions préparés et passé d'excellents moments en compagnie de notre hôtesse chaleureuse et accueillante. Je recommande vivement cette expérience !
Rita is an exceptional person and teacher. She offered to teach me privately in her lovely home, and it was a very personalized experience. She took me to shop locally and talked to me about the city and its unique culture which was an accepted but informative lesson. She then showed me how to make some Bolognese classic dishes. It is clear she is both an educator and a culinary expert.
I am Rita and I was born in a small village of the Bolognese countryside in a big old Emilian family.
Since I was a child, I learned traditional cooking from my mother and my grandmother. At our house, every excuse was good to hold a big party and invite people home for lunch or dinner.
After different working experiences, in 1991 I decided to follow my vocation and open my cooking school in Bologna, La Cucina di Petronilla. My vision has evolved throughout the years, leading me to further study (nutrition, herbal medicine and olive oil tasting) in order to provide much more than simple cooking classes.
About my place: The course is held at my home, open to my guests with the hope to provide a familiar and authentic experience.
I live in a 16th century building, second floor (no lift-no elevator), 6 minutes from the two towers. You will enjoy an amazing view on the red roofs of Bologna.
