Dimsum(steam bun) is a kind of Chinese-influenced Japanese food, which is very popular and common in Japan. You can find it at train stations, convenience stores and supermarkets. It features rich, deep, and creamy fitting inside, which is usually made from pork, beef or chicken. However, eating too many animal ingredients is not that healthy, so I decide to make another 2 types of vegan Dimsum. Let's have a comparison.
In this activity, we are going to make 2 types of Vegan Dimsum, root vegetables (carrot and burdock), and leafy vegetables (cabbage etc.). On top of that, of course, we will make the dough from scratch together and teach you how to make the Dimsum. It might be a kind of challenge, but after you practice it for couple times, actually it is much easier than you thought. After that we will make a Miso soup together.
After this class, I think you will have a general idea about how to make fermentation style dough, which is very similar to bread dough, pizza dough or maybe Indian style naan. You will have fun here for sure.
Additional Note: If you're interested to learn more Vegan dishes, I also teach how to make Vegan Ramen. Click here to view my other class.
