Lezioni di Cucina a Gili Islands

We had a wonderful time at the cooking class today. It was great spending time with a Balinese family. It was much more than a cooking class as you got to see a working farm and learn a little more about the Balinese culture. Well worth the money and would recommend if you are staying in the Ubud area

We started the day with Wayan Juli picking us up and taking us to the local market in his village. Back to the kitchen, Made was waiting for us, so we started our cooking. We were definitely involved in every step of the dish from chopping to cooking and tasting as well. The meal was wonderful and we had so much fun. Made also gave us all the recipes. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a hands on cooking.

The day started off with Kadek taking us to the local markets. We picked up our meat and vegetables for the cooking by ourselves there. Then he brought us to the rice paddies and to their beautiful farm. And the most exciting time comes, Made taught us how to cook the BEST Indonesian food. She thoroughly explained to us how each ingredient worked together to make one dish. We were all so pleased with this amazing experience.
