Private Cheese Experience From Grass to Cheese Farm Tour, Cheese Making Workshop and Tasting

This tour is designed to make sure you learn all the necessary steps to produce dairy products following our motto: The continuous discovery of ancient recipes and long lost flavors.

The staff at Fattoria Savoia will bring you through a journey starting at the base: the respect for the land that feeds the animals and so us. You will be shown the farm features, the life of a happy cow, the “milky way" where the milk is collected, and the cereal mills used to produce the grains.

After the tour, it will be time for the cheese production process. You will watch capable people making cheese, using techniques that accompany the Savoia family for generations. After the tour of the production lab, there will be time to make your own hand-made cheese and bring it away with you after this activity.

The tour will then follow with the visit of the cave used to preserve the cheese and here you will learn about the natural process that makes the cheese stay longer, how the use of spices defends the cheese from parasites but also gives different flavors to its taste.

The Fattoria Savoia experience will end with the degustation of freshly made cheese, locally sourced cold cut accompanied by the famous “Aglianico”, and “Taurasi” red wine or “Coda di Volpe” and “Falanghina” white wine.

This is the perfect stop before visiting the nearby historical attraction of Benevento, with its Roman rests of Montesarchio, its Castel, and its history museum.
