Recently I took cooking class in Kathmandu while I was in tour to Nepal. The class provided an immersive experience into the heart of Nepali cuisine, guided by knowledgeable instructors who shared their passion for cooking. The hands-on experience of the class was particularly enjoyable, allowing us to learn typical recipes and cooking techniques while using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. From Momos to dal Bhat and carrot pudding; each dish we prepared was bursting with authentic flavors that left a lasting impression. Overall, it was a memorable and enriching experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore the vibrant culinary of Nepalese people and this class offers a fantastic opportunity to learn, create, and indulge in delicious Nepali foods.
After enjoying few days in Kathmandu alone, I was suggested to take the cooking class. My tour guide refer me this workshop. The amenities of the cooking home was great. I learnt to make the Momo and Dal Baat at lunch. Chef instructed very gently and ensured we all learn to make it. Best part of this workshop is candidates can choose the food they like to cook. I liked the taste of daal the most (it's texture was so soft with the fragrance of himalayan herb). If you are having free time, then cooking workshop is the best. Recommended.
I took an authentic Nepali Cooking class in Kathmandu operated by Relax Getaways. It was an wonderful experience and good workshop to learn about the foods of Nepal. Instructor was wonderful and informative in sharing information and in guiding the steps of cooking. I learnt to cook 4 types of meals and enjoyed it all. Must recommended activity.
