By joining us, you'll learn not just about the recipes and the methods but also the history and the stories related to Japanese cooking. Our cooking classes are suitable for anyone who loves Japanese food and culture!

You will learn about why wagyu beef is so tasty, how kaiseki meal developed.

" A very hands-on class where we made everything from start to finish by ourselves! This means that we really learned by listening to our instructor and using our recipes to guide us. "

What I liked: We learned how to make so many dishes! I loved how our instructor, Aya-san, taught us everything with ease. She made it seem so simple. Our cooking stations were also always organized and clean with the help of the team at Cooking Sun!
What to know: You will learn the about the history and the philosophy of Japanese food during the class as you cook each dish.
Good for: People interested in food and culture.

Great course. Hands on, we cooked everything on the menu. Will do another one when we next go to Tokyo. Highly recommended

"Good Experience"

The instructors were really good about explaining that all the ingredients were and how we were going to use them. They were also really good about helping all of us prepare the food the right way. We did not particularly like the taste of the food but that is all a personal opinion - some in the class did. The only suggestion would be to allow us to eat as we prepared the food instead of waiting until the very end to eat. Some of the food would have been better if it were hot

I had a very nice time. The cooker/teacher is super interesting and explain a lot of things, from exemple there the food is from, some expression... The food we eat and cook was very delicious, very nice menu. The menu is also dépends of the season so that good opportunity to come back and try a new class :)

"Fantastic Cooking Class in Tokyo"

My husband, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class at Cooking Sun Tokyo. Maiko and Miki were very organized, knowledgeable and patient, the ingredients were fresh and the dishes we prepared were delicious. Definitely a highlight of our time in Tokyo.
