Make some like minded friends and join our classic cooking class.

From the first pastry in the morning at the local Pasticceria, to the final twirl of spaghetti Al Pomodoro for dinner, food is a huge part of Italian life. Italians have refined the art of pleasurable eating. If you love Italian food, learn to cook like an Italian! An InRome Cooking class is fun and gratifying.

Guests are always welcomed with drinks and antipasti.

Our English-speaking chef will cook with you some classic Italian dishes. If you would like, the class can start in the style of any true Roman’s day, with a trip to the market to select fresh ingredients. The seasonal produce will help determine your menu: think an auburn squash Risotto in the autumn or generously stuffed tomatoes in the summer.

Back at InRome Cooking, the chef will accompany you to make a classic Italian dinner with a ‘Primi’ (pasta dish), a ‘Secondi’ (main course), a ‘Contorni’ (side dish) and a delectable ‘dolce’ (sweet course). If there is something in particular you would like to cook, you are welcome to specify with the chef beforehand.

With a glass of local wine, after an active morning cooking, the class comes together for an elegant tasting of your delicious Italian creations.

InRome Cooking was founded by Roman siblings Marilena and Salvatore Barberi as a homage to their father and his beloved restaurant near the Vatican. By sharing traditional Roman recipes in a warm, convivial setting, the Barberis are following in family footsteps. Recreating a piece of their own past in Rome's historic center.

Amazing!

We had such a wonderful time with Julio. He did an amazing job of giving us some of the history of the foods we made as well as doing a beautiful job teaching us how to make some of our favorite dishes!

Era fantastico

Because our class was on Saturday, we met Alessandro in the market at Campo di Fiore. He was a lively, engaging person who cheerfully introduced us to the various characters of the market and let us set some of the menu. I will say that visiting the salumeria and the macelleria made my mouth water. After assembling and collecting our ingredients, it's off to the school. A light, open, wide facility for my family of seven foodies. We start with a lightweight appetizer and then get to cooking. Chicken cacciatore, ravioli filled with ricotta and mortadella, tiramisu with zabaglione. Alessandro and his team led us through the steps of making great pasta, zabaglione, chicken ... all of it. Then to serve it up with Prosecco, ah. Such a delight. A great course! Team, we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful time we had cooking with you and we hope yo do it again soon.

Amazing food & experience

Met locals in the market, learned about different cuts of meat, where the cheeses come from, where certain produce is grown in what region. We made beautiful pasta, we got to pick what to eat. All of the food and wine were so delightful, we relaxed, we weren’t rushed, we actually cooked and made the dishes or most of it, Marco & Mamoon were so kind , and answered questions and taught us, it was a lovely experiences , one of my favorite in Rome❤️👍🏽

Fun and most relaxing part of our Roman holiday!

Absolutely appreciated how simple Chef David made learning to cook classic Roman dishes! Also really enjoyed the conversations and getting to know more of the Italian lifestyle in most family kitchens. Can’t wait to try out the recipes with our family back home in Singapore… and now to hunt for guancale back home! The kitchen was so clean as well 👍 beautiful space.

Fun experience!!!

My wife and I really enjoyed learning how to cook some Italian recipes. The chef that taught us was very nice and helped make the experience very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this course if you like cooking. The best part is you don't have to clean up after yourself ;)
