Experience the delightful charm of crafting traditional Japanese rice balls, known as "onigiri," right in the heart of Sapporo. This engaging hands-on workshop offers a unique opportunity for both food enthusiasts and travelers eager to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Japanese home cooking traditions.
Please consider the following notes:
- Kindly avoid staying here if you are uncomfortable with dogs. (I have a small pet dog in a separate room.)

- Since lessons take place in a residential setting, please be mindful of noise levels in shared areas of the apartment building.

Here are some recommended points for taking the onigiri workshop:
1. Master the shaping technique: Pay attention to the instructor's demonstration and practice shaping the rice until you feel comfortable. It may take a few attempts to get the perfect shape, but don't worry, it's part of the learning process.

The Onigiri Workshop was very serene, informative and interesting.
To see how traditional onigiri is made from scratch is quite the Japanese experience and I think all should try.
It affords additions perks of learning Japanese and more about culture. Making Onigiri may seem simple but it is quite the art and takes practice, so I’m happy I got some training with Risa San.
