Our family of four had an incredible small-group experience with just Federica and us. First, starting the base for our gelato, and then working through her grandmother's tiramisu recipe. Federica explained every step of the process in detail as well as explaining the history and importance of the name "tiramisu" and why the specific ingredients were needed...and in the exact order they were incorporated into the mix. With her patient guidance, our tiramisu turned out better than anything we've ever tasted before (or after). While the tiramisu was cooking, we enjoyed the gelato we had just made and frozen, which was light and refreshing! The class was held in the back of an actual working cafe with our own counter, sink, gelato freezer, oven, and set of appliances. This was one of our family's favorite experiences that will be part of our memories and hearts for the rest of our lives. Oh, the coffee they serve at the cafe was pretty good as well!
This tour was an absolutely perfect introduction to the food and the city of Roma. Our your guide, Luca, was EXCEPTIONAL! The food we tried was diverse and delicious, and the pacing was perfect. We had two children with us on the tour and they had options for them at every stop. Luca was funny, entertaining, informative, helpful and so very friendly. I highly recommend this tour and Luca as your guide!
This is a must tour when visiting Rome. Not only are you treated to a smorgasbord of delicious& delectable Roman food at great places, but you also explore different areas of Rome from a historical & modern day perspective. Marica is a fantastic guide who made the experience extraordinary.
What an amazing experience! Sylvia was an outstanding guide and the chef was a gem! We had a blast and the time spent with both Sylvia and chef was like hanging out with friends. Great conversation, highly recommend!
We were fortunate to have Federica, our amazing, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide to ourselves and the whole experience was magical. The information about the Monti region combined with the Pizza information left us feeling very special and delighted we had booked. No doubting that Pizza Romana is the winner. To finish a superb tour with real Gelato was the icing 🧁 on the cake! Thank you again Federica - we both loved it 🥰
Giulia was great! She took us to several different locations and explained the differences and basics of Italian coffee culture. She answered all our questions and was a great tour guide!
The instructor was knowledgeable, passionate and fun. We learned both the history of Tiramisu and made pear gelato and tiramisu from scratch that was divine. We are back from our vacation and planning to make gelato today and tiramisu for New Year's Eve.
Anastasia led us through the Monti neighborhood on a wonderful pizza adventure. We tried three different types of pizza with three flavors of each. Our favorite was the fried pizza but the Roman style was delightful as well. Our guide was such a pleasure and was kind enough to make many other recommendations that were amazing in Rome. Highly recommend.
Don't miss this memorable evening and wine education. All was excellent including our guide. Great time to making new friends in a wonderful atmosphere .
Federica was wonderful. She is warm, charming and very knowledgeable about the nuances of making gelato and tiramisu. I am almost 80 years old and had a great time and learned a lot. Thank you
Alessandro was an in incredible guide who taught us so much about pairing wines and the distinct areas of Italy each came from. The food was perfect. Loved our experience and made our trip all the more memorable.
Highly recommend !! Great tour & great food! Fun way to get feel of Rome! We were able to see highlights of Rome as well as taste the local food! Fun & informative.
All of the experience was phenomenal! The personable staff and wonderful food were the best experience in Italy so far! My friends and I cannot recommend this experience enough- between the helpful hints in our food ventures (or misadventurous turns) and the laughs shared over seemingly endless wine, the time will remain to be my highlight in Italy!
Federica was very nice and knowledgeable. We love it ! A 100 recommended!
WOW - this cooking class was so fun! We highly recommend it for a unique experience while in Rome. There were a lot of laughs and of course, there was wine to enjoy while you cook. Don't miss the chance to join the chef in the kitchen when the meal comes together!
Overall we really enjoyed the tour. It was a nice break from more intense sightseeing in the hot sun. Walking was easy and the desserts were tasty. Never had granita before and really liked it. Tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun to chat with. Company was very nice to deal with when making our reservations and they accommodated a few special food restrictions with no problems. Would have liked some “behind the scenes” access to be included as part of the tour.
I really enjoyed this dinner and wine pairing. I learned a lot. The host was extremely friendly and educated. The food was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful. I would do this again
What an amazing experience! Federica was so full of energy and was a fantastic guide. Truly a great evening…thanks Fede!
What better way to push through jetlag than with an espresso tour?! The espresso and food were delicious and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about not only the tasting experience, but in offering us helpful tidbits about the city. She taught us how to order espresso (a process I didn't realize would be so different from the U.S.!); that there were 2500 fountains all around Rome that offered free, clean drinking water; and relayed interesting cultural backstory about the statues and piazzas we passed. This guidance helped make our experience throughout the week so much smoother and more pleasant than it would have been. We ended up getting to try espresso prepared three different ways, two kinds of gelato, and a tiramisu. Our guide was so accommodating: The tiramisu place had sold out of it by the time we got there and she quickly ordered us tiramisu-espresso (bonus!) and booked us at another shop that made excellent tiramisu as well. Friendly, exciting, tasty way to start the week!
We had a private tour with Daniela. Daniela was the BEST! So energetic and fun. She was knowledgeable about Art History and the Caravaggio wine tour was very interesting! Great night with Daniela. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing time with Daniela and other lovely people. An intimate situation for a time travelling with a good glass of wine in hand ! Caravaggio has no secrets for us anymore and we can't wait to have another experience with our host ! We highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys a good wine tasting in a cozy environment while learning about a massive piece of Italian artistic history.
We had a really wonderful time, meeting awfully nice people who made us feel welcome at once. The wine was very tastefully and we learned a lot about Caravaggio, his life and the time he lived in. Also the location was really fabulous. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in wine, culture and meeting other people and we'd definitely book a tour again, when being in Rome.
