Lucca was so much fun! Lucia was super sweet too! I can’t wait to get home to Montana to make the pasta!!! Lucca could be on the food network and I would totally watch the show!!!!
Gloria and Camella were fantastic they passed on so many little tips and tricks. It was so much fun and our group really clicked. Everything was delicious and they catered for various food restrictions too. Highly recommend for an authentic Italian cooking experience.
We had a wonderful Tuscan picturesque hilltop outdoor garden and kitchen. We were able to all participate in the food preparation making pasta. Preparing and cooking our own meal was a special treat. It was a different activity for a hot crowded and busy Florence. Thankyou
Highly recommend spending an afternoon with this incredible team - at an incredible location. Great fun for the entire family.
Luca and Carmela were great teachers . There were hands on experiences and we learned that cooking could be fun. The food prep and timing was well coordinated. We would recommend this class to anyone. The estate was amazing despite the soggy, rainy weather.
We had so much fun making pizza and gelato. Gloria was such a great host! She was very knowledgeable and fun! Thomas and Pisa were great with the pizza making class. They were so funny and kept us entertained the whole time. The views were breathtaking, and the food was delicious.
We really enjoyed this class. One of my favorite things to do when visiting another country is to take a cooking class - a great way to connect to a culture and people through food. I particularly like this activity when traveling with kids. This class was one of the best I have taken anywhere. Cris, Arla, and Tiziano were a great team, filled with helpful hints for success all delivered with an appropriate amount of humor. I am confident that I will be making gelato and pizza at home and wowing my friends. The only problem is I fear I am now a pizza and gelato snob, knowing what I now know! I would highly recommend this experience to all.
My wife and I along with two daughters, their husbands, and seven children experienced the pizza and gelato class in the Tuscan hills outside of Florence, Italy. It was absolutely wonderful. Everyone had a marvelous time. The setting was gorgeous and the instructors were funny and engaging.
We really enjoyed the pizza and gelato class with Chris, Tizziano, and Thomas! Chris had an interesting culinary background and was very knowledgeable about the science behind cooking. Tizziano and Thomas were super fun to make pizza with and the final products were delicious! We got a beautiful sunset too!
The instructors were informative and witty! We spent the evening making delicious food with an equally as incredible view of Tuscany.
This was my husband and I's first cooking experience. The bus delivered us to a beautiful offsite location high above Florence. The property was brimming with fresh garden vegetables and a view that spanned miles with fruit and olive trees. The team welcomed us to a beautiful kitchen, provided humor during the instruction and then we created our masterpieces to enjoy and share with our new friends. A fun-filled evening was had by all as we drank local vino, and beer and cooked our specialties. Thank you.
Fabulous tour of the market and hands-on cooking class. Luca makes it very entertaining! He acts as more than a chef but as your personal tour guide with cooking tips, restaurant recommendations, and overall knowledge of Florence. Carmella keeps things on track and pulls in the class members to participate. The lunch is really good. And we helped make it! We highly recommend this experience.
Max, Tiziano, and Thomas were great teachers and very entertaining. This experience is one of the top highlights of our 3-week trip. We've already recommended this to many people. We learned a lot, including how simple it is to make a dough and the importance of rest time. The food was delicious and it was nice to be able to try all the gelato flavors that were made. The vegetables for the toppings were grown there, the view overlooking Florence was beautiful, and we even got to watch liquid nitrogen in action. When we go back to Florence in a few years we'll be looking to do it again.
Beautiful setting, and fun. I learned a lot! Delicious results! So glad we booked this. Time well spent.
We thoroughly enjoyed this class when visiting Florence! The pizza was the best we had in our whole trip and it was so fun to learn how to make it hands-on. Also learning to make gelato was a bonus! The team of instructors is fabulous and they really make this experience a joy. Angie, Thomas, and Tiziano were the best! Highly recommend booking this class if you’re visiting Florence! The setting is beautiful, the wine is plentiful and the food and company are fantastic!
This was the best, and the most fun class we have done! A must in Florence!!
Great combination between the market visit and the cooking class. Our class was with 25 people, which was a little bit too much. I could not help that much except for the Pasta class. I would prefer to do it in a smaller group but, the class was well arranged. Luxury Transfer and good quality equipment. For sure, it's a good choice!
It is an outstanding day out, perfect for couples and families. It was superbly organized, presented, and just a fantastic experience. One of the highlights of our trip
It was a big group, but expertly handled by two experienced guides. I am fairly confident we will be able to make our own pasta from now on: and some great tips. We brought our teenage daughter... Probably not best for anyone younger than 18. Still, she had a great time and a lot of the jokes went over her head. Five stars for sure... I would most certainly recommend it. (Esp for groups of friends).
My partner and I undertook a pizza and gelato-making class, handled by some excellent and professional staff (Angela, Titiano, and Thomas). This team made us feel extremely welcome and adhered to our every need, their skills and knowledge were impressive and they made sure to share the process down to each individual detail, the experience was truly noteworthy and we would recommend the class to anyone able to part take and it worth every penny. Thank you, Angela, Titian, and Thomas! - Frazer and Claire
Luka is a sensational guide! He is hilarious yet he provides valuable cooking tips, sights and restaurants to visit, and historical information. Carmella was also great in connecting with the group and enjoying the joy of cooking and sharing our experiences with others. We are truly grateful for one of the best tours we have ever been on! We are enthusiastic travelers and have been on many tours, but we have rarely had this much fun for 6 hours. Thank you so much for the opportunity to experience this! Love ya’ Luka❤️
Excellent experience from start to finish! It was beautifully structured, taught & formatted for all ages. We had a fantastic time.
While in Florence, my partner and myself did the pizza and gelato making class. For starters, we arrived at a wonderful location in the countryside of Florence with beautiful views over looking the city and the Tuscan hills. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and a slice of focaccia bread which was delicious and made by the chefs. While enjoying this, Max one of the chefs took us through their garden and showed us their fresh produce. We started the evening making gelato. Max was wonderful with explaining things and helping us through the process. Every group made a different flavour gelato/sorbet which was shared and enjoyed at the end of the evening. The pizza chefs were also fantastic, friendly and engaging. They took us through the process of making an excellent pizza dough and we had some fun flipping the dough in the air. We got to make our own individual pizza with our handpicked toppings and this was enjoyed with a glass of red wine and a breathtaking view of the hills. For dessert we enjoyed gelati. The whole experience was fantastic- fun, engaging and hands-on. I would highly recommend this class for anyone wanting to learn how to cook pizza and gelato and for the experience. Hats off to the chefs for their brilliant cooking skills and techniques that were shared with the class and keeping everyone happy and entertained. Definitely an experience to remember!
From beginning to end this excursion was perfect. Incredibly well organized and communication was great! Thomas, Tizian, and Gloria were the most gracious hosts. Funny, informative, and professional. The food was fabulous and the view was even better! A must-do for your time in Florence!
The team made us feel like part of their family. It was really fun and delicious.
It was a wonderful evening and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Chris, Arla and Thomas were very informative, entertaining and fun. The location is amazing. I would highly recommend this class!
It was so much fun! Cris, Thomas, and Arla were amazing. I would highly recommend this outing. It was 5 hours long and not a dull moment. Very informative and such a great time.
We enjoyed our class throughout. The vibe was immaculate and everyone was nice. Food was 5 stars just as much as the process of us getting there. The experience and all the people imvolved? lovely. Would recommend to everyone.
We were 3 generational family for our day in the kitchen. Perfect experience for all ages. Even after 50 years of cooking, I still picked up some great tips.
Max was amazing as the Gelato expert , kept it very interesting and very entertaining , not to mention gelato was excellent. Tom an Fioreno (i Believe) were very entertaining and very knowledgeable about pizza , the final product was amazing !!!
We were a big group (13 members) of family members from grandpa, to kids and grandkids. We are really enjoyed the pizza and gelato class that Cris, Tiziano, and Arla gave. It was super fun and engaging. Everyone was really happy and enjoyed it, to th point that it was the highlight of the family trip to Tuscany. Thanks for creating fantastic memories for our family.
When my wife told me she had signed our family up for a gelato and pizza class my first thought was, well good for you three. I assumed that it would be a rudimentary class for hobby cooks. As a chef who spent much of my career in fine dining I was very pleasantly surprised and completely wrong with my preconceived notions. The class started in the garden with a great glass of white wine and a piece of focaccia which was amazing. If only I had the good fortune to have a garden like that. On to our gelato class with Max, he was great energetic, happy to be there and seemed to really enjoy teaching a group about gelato from the technical aspects while keeping the fun and whimsy alive with passion for his craft. I learned a couple of cool tricks that are definitely adds to my tool box. The product we were given was top notch and everybody's gelato turned out amazing. The pizza class lead by Thomas and Tiziano was fun, informative from again the technical side of dough making with hydration %. Thomas was genuinely funny and lead the class with skill and humour. It was easy to see that all who attended got a lot out of the class and made great pizzas. Dinner The pizzas were excellent as was the gelato and seconds of the former were had by all and I can honestly say all the flavours & recipes were spot on. I would highly recommend this class for anybody wanting a fun, informative and well spent evening either on your own or with others.
It was very nice experience with friendly team, enjoyed it and will repeat it when i come again to Florence for sure.
Chris and his team were great and made the class entertaining.
O Chef Lucca e a Mary são extremamente profissionais e conseguem ensinar de um jeito muito divertido! O lugar é lindo, a atmosfera é sensacional e o sentimento de “quero de novo” ficou gravado em nossos corações!
We had a great experience learning how to make pizza and gelato, with our kids (8, 10) who enjoyed the experience very much.
Considering the time they get alot packed in, we'll organised and fun. Also very Yummy food. Teachers are entertaining. Venue is lovely and clean and transport is good. Recommended this class
Luca was so much fun that he made us forget our cooking class was being held on a 100 degree+ day! He taught us where to go and what to purchase to make a scrumptious Italian dinner. The cooking class was held at a dreamy location on the top of a foothill overlooking Tuscany just outside of Florence. We laughed all day and left with great memories and the knowledge and skills to make our own complete authentic Italian dinner.
We loved the gelato and pizza-making class with Angela, Thomas and Tiziano. Everyone was extremely professional and we had so much fun. The location just outside the city was great. One of the best parts of our trip— we can’t wait to try making some at home!
Thomas, Gloria & Tizian were fabulous hosts as well as instructors. They taught us so much & made our cooking classes fun! The countryside setting was beautiful. I loved the gardens... Thanks for such a wonderful experience.
Luca is a great entertainer and chef. He made cooking easy and fun. Plus he had lots of tipps and insights for us - both for buying food and Florence.
We consider ourselves intermediate home pizza makers and wanted to take this class to learn more from the pros. Great, fun, and knowledge staff. Very detailed yet efficient class. Arla, Angie, and Thomas made this class entertaining and approachable. They take you from base ingredients to eating your creations. Beautiful views! Highly recommend if you're in Florence and are considering expanding your pizza and gelato skills. Fun for couples, friends and family!
The beautiful farm/kitchen is only a ten minute jaunt from Florence and the views are spectacular. We learned much, laughed and ate heartily. The excursion was a surprise for my family and they enjoyed it greatly!
My husband and I enjoyed this pizza and gelato cooking class. The view was breathtaking and the perfect setting for learning. The guys were very informative and entertaining. We can’t wait for the recipes and host our own cooking class.
Chris and Andrew were amazing and delivered the course professionally.
This was a terrific experience. The team was so great--Gloria, Thomas and Luigi could not be nicer or more knowledgable. Everyone there said it was the highlight of their trip. My daughter and I had the most amazing day. This is a MUST do.
The staff was amazing, funny, and superb at involving the entire group of 25 people.
I have done several cooking classes around the globe and this is one of my favorites! The experience through Walkabout Florence was fantastic. Loved walking through the market to buy our ingredients. The farmhouse location could not be beat with a charming Tuscan feel in the state of the art kitchen. The full glass walls in the dining room allowed us to really see the beautiful countryside just outside of Florence as we dined. Excellent recipes and honestly we made the best ragu we had the entire trip! I recommended highly! Olivia and Carmela were fantastic!
Gloria, Thomas and luigi were amazing! Fun and engaging. Beautiful surroundings. An excellent memorable afternoon.
I am studying abroad in Florence and have been traveling all around Europe every weekend. This is the first weekend I have stayed in Florence and my friends and I wanted to take a cooking class. This was one of my favorite things we’ve done since we arrived! The kitchen and everything was a dream. The views were beautiful! Carmela the chef truly made the experience though! She was so funny and truly just puts you in a good mood! Lauinia our guide was also so fun and helpful! We made pasta from scratch, brushetta, meat sauce, and tiramisu! We got all of the ingredients that morning at the market so everything was fresh. I truly cannot recommend something enough! I never write reviews and truly felt I needed to spread the word about how great this class was!
We had a blast! First we learned the science behind making gelato and pizza dough. Max, the gelato guru took us through the steps as we created our own flavors. Luca and Luigi taught us the basics of good dough and then we made our pizza! They were a lot of fun! After dining on our pizza and wine, we had the gelato for dessert. Such a beautiful facility up in the hills overlooking beautiful Florence. Worth every euro!
Do NOT miss out on this class. We learned so much and had so much fun with Luka, Luigi and Max. Beautiful landscape, informative, entertaining, delicious.
The trip to the marker was great, our chef talked to us about what was in season, how to pick the right vegetables for the dishes and gave us exciting and wonderful options of what too cook. I could not decide! The time in the kitchen was lovely and we learned a lot, he took time to explain, and in the end we had a lovely meal. I would recommend this class to ANYONE!
I had the most amazing time here. Elisa was our host who took us through the market. She was very knowledgable and warm. At the farmhouse we got greeted by the most energetic Italian lady you will ever meet! Carmela was our chef and got everyone participating with her antics. All in all great fun and I felt that I made friends with all the people there by the end. By the end you get to relax and have great food. Highly recommended!
My partner and I where traveling around Italy, we had booked the pizza and gelato making experience in Tuscany, and had also booked a pasta making class in Rome with another company, pizza and gelato was a far superior experience for same price! the skill, teaching, entertainment & value for money with the pizza and gelato class was by far superior to to our pasta making in rome, Luca is possibly the wittiest, funniest, person I have ever encountered, max is a real showman and is more entertaining than I could have ever expected from gelato making whilst still teaching The group to a High standard on how to prepare gelato with lots of excellent tips for serving authentic garnish. Luigi is humbly funny, engaging and entertaining, he made the skill of dough kneeding & stretching and both adding the fillings entertaining and engaging with lots of laughs and fired in the oven to utter perfection. Without a doubt the best pizza I’ve ever had. As a lecturer Myself can I just say I know how difficult it is to keep your audience engaged and interested- it is a wonderful testament to you all as teachers that you not only kept all our interest for 5 hours, but kept us all engaged and entertained all night too. lots of wine/beer flowing and we met some really lovely interesting people too. I can’t recommend this class highly enough, if you do only one class or excursion in Tuscany make it this, it will not dissapoint you. Despite a mix up with an email address mix up max went out of his way to get us the recipes too which is very much appreciated. We will be having our first go at pizza making ourselves at home today and will continue to “ cook and love with Luca “ everytime we make pizza for our friend and family.
Expertly coordinated Cooking Class with classy chefs! Isak and Carmela make a wonderful chef team blending Isak's USA West-Coast Chill stirred together with Carmela's fiery Italian enthusiasm! Quick trip through the famed San Lorenzo Market yielded the ingredients for a wonderful meal in which we all participated in preparing. The group was large, but we each had a hand in chopping, and stirring. The highlight was the chance for all of us to make fresh pasta and top it off with a personally designed Tiramisu! We enjoyed a complete meal overlooking the marvelous Tuscan countryside filled with olive trees and vegetable patches. A definite "do-over" but perhaps with a smaller group!
My husband and I had such an amazing experience! Our host/translator Gloria was superb! The chef Carmella was a hoot! I highly recommend doing this!! We met some pretty cool ppl at the class too! Overall a superb experience!
We enjoyed Lucas, Mattee and Christian
This was such a great experience for us. We walked about 10 min to our air conditioned bus. We then walked down to the farm where we picked fresh produce for our pizzas and gelato. We had instruction about making pizza and gelato and put that instruction to work. But it wasn’t work as it was so fun making the dough, creating a pizza masterpiece, and eating the masterpiece. The same for the gelato. My pizza and gelato were the best pizza and gelato I had while in Italy. Luca, Luigi, and Max were fabulous! They made the experience an amazing one! Highly recommended.
Great setup with group and individual cooking experience, plenty of food and wine to indulge on. Grab your coffee before you meet or maybe sneek one during the market tour. Large group without feeling crowded
This cooking class exceeded ALL of my expectations! It was the absolute BEST thing I did during my entire trip to Italy. Angie, Luca, and Luigi were incredible, funny, and made the experience top notch! Their knowledge and skills were next level. I will 100% HIGHLY recommend this class to ANYONE, and will do it again my next holiday to Italy!!! My dream has been to do a cooking class in Italy, and this will be unforgettable. Best night ever!
This was BY FAR my most favorite thing I did during my entire trip to Italy. This class exceeded ALL of my expectations. Angie, Luca, and Luigi were the sweetest, funniest, most amazing hosts/chefs. A dream of mine has always been to go a cooking class in Italy, and this truly was an experience of a lifetime. I will 100% HIGHLY recommend this class to anyone, and will probably do it again my next trip back because Angie, Luca, & Luigi made the entire experience the BEST!
Highly recommend! It was definitely worth what we paid, and it was a great experience. We loved meeting other travelers and learning new things. The food was great, and the views were beautiful.
My husband and I did a Pizza and Gelato making class in Florence with Luca and Lavinia for our 1st anniversary and it was fantastic!! Not only were the instructors, Luca and Lavinia, super knowledgeable about their cooking and food culture, but they were incredibly engaging and hilarious! We were in Italy for 12 days and both agree this was the highlight of our trip and the best way we could have spent our first anniversary. We were able to break away from the group for a little bit to exchange our cards and enjoy the food, wine and views of Florence. The food was delicious, the views were unreal and it was an experience we'll never forget. Thank you to Luca, Lavinia and their teams for an amazing experience.
Going to the market was a great way to start the class very interesting
Going to the market first and looked around was a great way to start.
My husband and I traveled France and Italy to celebrate our anniversary, and this class was an extraordinary highlight to our trip. Angela greeted our small group as we arrived at a gorgeous villa outside of Florence. After a garden tour and a lesson about where real chianti comes from, she lead an informative and engaging class on making gelato with the fresh ingredients picked moments before in the villa garden. Then each group had a chance to make their own flavors. Next, we learned pizza making with Luca and Luigi! We went through the entire process from making and kneading the dough, to how to make the most delicious sauce, to how to prep and cook the pizza. Luca is a born performer, and Luigi even made my husband and I a heart-shaped pizza to celebrate our anniversary before we each had a chance to make our own. My advice? Take this class. And come hungry! You'll enjoyr great wine, creamy gelato, and unbelievable pizza. Even on a rainy Tuscan day, we had the most beautiful views and a wonderful time with our hosts!
Fun and in a beautiful area.
Carmella was a delight and so was our guide Lavi. The views from the villa in Tuscany were breathtaking. Making pasta from scratch was a unique and enjoyable experience. Eating the food that we prepared throughout the day was that much more delicious knowing that we had helped make it.
Fun; learned a lot; very hands on and plenty of personal instruction
This cooking class was hands down, the highlight from our recent trip to Florence. Everything was flawless, from the meeting at the train station, to the class, the food and the incredible views from the property. We had the best guide and chef, Isak. He was every bit funny as he was knowledgeable and passionate about what he was teaching us. He was very thorough in explaining everything he did. There was some demonstrations, with a whole lot of hands on cooking from everyone. We sipped on some delicious Chianti Classico while we worked. Afterwards, we all sat down and enjoyed the fruits of our labor, while overlooking the most amazing view of the Tuscan valley. It was breathtaking! If you're ever in Florence, book a cooking class. You won't regret it!!
The class was a highlight of our trip! Attended the class with our three teenagers and everyone enjoyed it!
Pleasant surroundings and enjoyable cooks. Great food.
The class was reaaaally amazing, Lavine and Luca were the best, didn't just taught us how to make gelato and pizza but it was full of fun and laughter. If i ever come to italy again, i will surely do this again and again! Thank you Lavine and Luca you're the sweetest Chefs.
I had a really really wonderful time. I was literally dancing the entire time of the cooking class because of joy. I really loved the wine, the Florence and Tuscan food. I was so proud of myself because i got to make all dishes from scratch and recreate it back home with confidence. I got to taste everything I made and tasted all the organic products I have used. It was a very memorable cooking experience! Will definitely recommend it to my family and friends!
Luca and Angela were so much fun and knowledgable. I learned so much and ate so much too!! Would recommend to anyone!
Was an entertaining and tasty class. Best pizza and gelato ever. Highly recommend as a learning experience and enjoyable time. In an absolutely gorgeous setting and the short ride to get there is great sight seeing as well. Angela and Lucca, the instructors, were very enthusiastic and fun.
I'm in love with Luca 😀 he made the experience so much fun... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was one of the highlights of Florence! Issac provided continual laughs, while teaching everyone how to perfect the next recipe. Everything from the amazing Tuscan hillside home to a wonderful market shopping experience makes this class a must do in Florence!
My kids and I had such a fun time. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. I highly recommend to experience something like this while you are in Florence.
I did a similar class with Walkabout Florence a few years ago and loved it! This was even better. The teachers went more into the science behind gelato and pizza bases, which was so interesting. Chris, Luca, and Ludovico were wonderful instructors, so friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to my friends!
This class went over and above my expectations. It was simply amazing and very professionally done. The property that the class was held on is so beautiful and has a view that you won’t get anywhere else! Chefs, Luca and Enrico were so much fun and are so helpful! The are also very funny and will have the whole group laughing! Can’t reccomend this enough- a must do!
I can’t recommend this class enough - it was awesome! Really well organised and so much fun. Learnt a lot too. Great value for money.
The best choice for a rainy day in Florence. The cooking class was amazing and so fun, took place in an extraordinary house with an amazing scenery and view. We will definitely do it again!
LOVED this class. Chris, Luca and Enrico were just wonderful and made the experience of making both gelato and pizza just so easy and so much fun. And then we got to eat what we made which was just delicious. Highly, highly recommended. An absolute highlight of my trip to Florence.
Wonderful experience with encouraging instructors and a positive energy. We laughed the whole time. Luca is incredible and hilarious. Would 11/10 recommend to traveling friends!
We really enjoyed the class and the hosts definately played the best part in it. Isac and Carmella were fantastic hosts. The food, wine, dessert etc was out of this world. The fact that they get you so involved and constantly assist you by giving you tips, and more wine was great fun. We met alot of great people and will definately recommend this specific class!! We love Italy!!
It was an amazing experience so glad I did it!
This was one of my favorite things we did on our trip. Beautiful location and fun experience. Highly recommend!
Wonderful, helpful staff. Very friendly and outgoing. Food was great and learned some great ideas. Would definitely do again.
Was the best function we attended during our visit. Was only the second cooking class we had taken however this certainly encourages us to do many more as they are so much fun. Isaac was so funny and Carmella is a lunatic in sheeps clothing. Lol. She sings. She dances. And boy can she cook. The view from the facilities was extraordinary. The facilities have my wife and I planning our backyard project. Cannot give this tour any higher marks than 5 stars or I would.
My boyfriend and I loved this class!! I would highly recommend it if you are going to be in Florence for a couple days! The venue was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful! We had a lot of fun learning how to make authentic pizza and gelato!
This was the best day of my trip so far. Isaak and Carmella were fantastic hosts and fabulous chefs. What they taught us all we will never forget. I would truly recommend this trip to anyone x
We stumbled across this cooking class on a google search & booked just the day before. This was our first cooking class & it did not disappoint. Massimiliano, Enrico, Tiziano and Mauro were such an amazing team, providing us with the best information required. - From collecting the ingredients to preparing the meal, to enjoying our creations. A fabulous night was had by all with many laughs, good wine & great food. Please don’t let the lack of reviews deter you from an amazing evening in Florence - you’ll miss out!!! It was definitely a highlight of our month long trip around Italy.
It is quite a compliment to this course, being in Florence and all. First of all, it was very well organized, and when the time came you were bussed to a beautiful site for the class. The instructors were fantastic, knowledgeable, creative and very funny. Hands on instruction, you were able to make delicious gelato and pizza, as promised. Did I mention the wine? They kept pouring, and the class became more and more fun! Recipes are going to be emailed, so we will be practicing and hopefully perfecting some techniques. I can recommend this course with confidence that it will be a joyous experience for all.
在風光明媚的托斯卡尼,一起學習道地義大利美味!
